This is my new precious! Gone are the days of dealing with forgotten wet clothes since it’s all in one. The app is great to have. Ok it is heavy so I recommend having Bestbuy deliver and install for you. Sure it’s easy to install but why do it if someone else can? It’s a perfect height. It’s really big and can handle 2 quilts with ease. Ventless system is amazing. Warranty is great to have just encase. I haven’t had anything negative beyond it being very heavy. It’s beautiful! Worth in investment!!

Fancy and does what it says but randomly pauses

Fancy and does what it says but randomly pauses Continuously. GEs response was to read the manual. Told me to clean the pump filter. I’ve had the issue since day one but even after 6 weeks of use there was barely anything in the filter. Cleaned it and same problem. GEs next response is 3rd party repairmen. No fix there either. Issue reappeared 10 minutes after they left. Return call “well order a part”. The unit comes with a smart phone app as well. No, it does not notify you that it paused the load, nor does it consistently tell you that it randomly paused the load when you check manually. I now babysit the unit downstairs with a blink camera. For $2,000 I would expect it to work for at least a matter of months before having chronic issues. There’s clearly a software or hardware problem with the unit. Now to be fair if it did not have this problem I would be a fan, but this is making more work than my old set.

We are glad to assist with your Ultrafast Combo pausing continuously. An unbalanced load or excessive lint buildup can cause the unit to do this. If the load gets unbalanced, press Pause on the control, open the door, and try to redistribute the load more evenly. If that doesn't fix it, try running the machine empty on Rinse & Spin. If the noise stops, it means the issue was caused by an unbalanced load rather than an issue with the washer itself. For more troubleshooting on this, please review the article titled “GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Excessive Noise or Shaking” on the GE Appliances website. You can also check out article "GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Advanced Cleaning of Lint Filter Compartment" for guidance with the lint filter.

If the issue persists, please continue to work with service to resolve this matter. You can reach out to our Bodewell service team at 1-833-426-3393 to schedule an appointment. GE_Appliances

It is so nice to toss the bedding in there in the morning and have it warm and ready to go when the cycle is done. The dog hair feature is awesome to get dog hair off before the wash cycle. And the phone notifications are a great reminder to change out the loads. It does seem to take a long time to dry. The ventless design does create a lot of extra lint in the lint holder. I find the lint filter cavity and door seal are always covered in hair and lint.

Washes well, dries great, sips just the tiniest amounts of energy and water, doesn't heat up the garage much, doesn't need a vent sends me notifications the laundry is done, dry, ready to fold. It's an awesome machine. And I have a dog. The filter assembly, and the overall machine's robustness to dog hair is a rough point though. A year in, we spend a lot of time carefully cleaning the interior & the various interior ports for water and air, vacuuming out crevices ... everything we can do to keep the lint, sand, and dog fur from clogging the filter. I would buy again, but GE's really got to re-engineer filtration because ... it's pretty common to have a dog. He sheds an ordinary amount.

This washer/dryer combo works well and can help reduce washing time, depending on your perspective. It uses an AI feature to calculate the optimal washing and drying times, but this can sometimes result in longer cycles than expected. Personally, I feel it adds unnecessary time to the process, although this isn't a major issue if you have a smaller household. One downside is that you have to wait for both washing and drying to be fully completed before starting another load. If you're accustomed to doing laundry at a faster pace—like starting a new load while the previous one dries—this could be frustrating. As a single adult living with other single adults, this setup works fine for us because we simply load it up and let it run. However, keep in mind that overloading the machine can affect drying efficiency, and the cycle times will increase. Overall, it’s not a deal-breaker for us, but worth noting if you're used to multitasking with your laundry. Personally, if I had known how frustrating this combo could be, I’m not sure I would have chosen it, especially since I'm used to doing my laundry back to back. On the plus side, it does save time by automatically starting the drying cycle once the wash is complete, so you don’t have to transfer the load to a separate dryer. However, if you're accustomed to doing multiple loads in quick succession, the waiting time for both washing and drying to finish could be a bit inconvenient.

I was hesitant on buying one.The first month I had it the whole computer burned out and they did replace it but it’s loud because it’s not original. There is a flaw in the lint trap and you definitely have to keep up with cleaning it out or you could damage your machine.I do like having my space back in the laundry room and not switching the clothes to the dryer.

Overall, this is a great machine. It’s big, efficient, and performs well (had it for a year now). The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that the lint filter design is kinda bad… and it’s extremely tight and difficult to clean inside the machine. I change the lint every time but inevitably some gets stuck inside or on the heat pump fins and it’s extremely difficult to get out

Do you forget your wash? Have to wash it again? And again? Another time? Yeah, me too. My dryer broke and I had been eyeing this for MONTHS! I swore to Hubby, either breaks, this was replacing. Best. Desision. Ever! Ok, maybe not the best, but its up there. Expensive? Worth it. Just in the savings of time and having to rewash clothes, it will ‘pay’ for itself. No dryer hose to worry about lint fires (huge worry on my part), the app tells you when laundry is done and reminds you its in there once (an hour after its done), tells you when softener and detergent are low (if you use the automatic dispenser, which I recommend because ADHD), and FYIs for updates. Just enough to be helpful but not annoying. While the app is needed, you dont have to ‘use’ it to run the machine. The most annoying thing about it is not knowing what to call it? The washer isnt right, dryer either, combo sounds like the 90s snack… we’ve started to call it the laundry monster! It is NOT quiet where we have it, but we also dont have it in the base that came with it, so this is a very good reason that it might be so loud. It is HEAVY!! Have it delivered. Not kidding. You dont need a hose, no venting. Remove the back plate, we forgot and it was horrible!! Other then that, buy it if you have issues with forgetting laundry, are super busy and cant get to it quickly, or maybe missing a dryer electrical hook up or link exhaust. Even expensive, soooo worth it if you can find it in your budget!

I bought this machine for a new apartment I moved in where I didnt have access to exhaust or 220 outlet, so this seemed perfect. I have had this machine for 3 weeks and given the reviews I read I really had high hopes. The reality is that my old maytag (13 years and was still working fine when I moved) washing and dryer pair were doing a far superior job (and I thought they were just average)...Here are my observations: 1) The machine looks to have a high capacity, but if you try to load 2/3 with sweaters and winter gear it will go on forever...I tried a "normal" cycle, its went for 5 hours and stuck on drying and "sensing" , having started at 7p.m. I manually stopped it after 1 A.M needing to go to sleep with most items just wet. I can only imagine my electricity bill. there is no excuse for this poor performance. 2) not easy to just add drying time... it dryes by using water, so you cant just "dry" a bit more for 10 mins, you need to do at least min 30 mins otherwise will be more wet than you entered it. 3) When the machine is in drying cycle it ommits smell which feels mechanical... since I placed the machine in a big closet in my bedroom, I have to open all windows when done. 4) Items dont feel nor smell clean- I tried using double the pods I usually do...I ended up adding softener (never used before) just to get some slight fresh smell. 5) YOU HAVE TO USE STAIN REMOVAL for any little stain (Didnt have to do that before), ITS horrible is stain removal. 6) some lighter clothes (not white) have small stains \lines transferred from other clothes. I have had a few shirts ruined due to this. 7) some sock always gets stuck at the door (due to the design) and is not washed. some socks smell the same after the wash as they did before. Overall each time I put the laundry on it seems like a gamble...will it clean it? will it dry it? how many hours will it run for? will it ruin my teenage daughter shirt and I will have to answer for it?...so much stress! I do wonder about all those good reviews...if you have a choice and have the hookups go for the traditional choices. I really wished for this machine to work well.

Machine is great. Installers were amazing!! The machine is so convenient for a small family. It’s longer to do a load because you have to wait for the entire wash and dry cycle before you can start another load. But for me, I only do one load of laundry once a week so this is perfect. I do not have to switch the laundry back-and-forth. Everything is clean and neat and high-tech. I can start the laundry cycle from upstairs on my phone. I can restart the wrinkle free process if I leave it too long in the machine It’s absolutely great.

Read alot of bad reviews on these, decided yo get one anyways. Its definitely a learning curve. Im super simple, so i dont sort anything and like to use like 1 option. If you wash towel, you need to select towels, as when it drues itll make them fluffy. If you dont, they wont dry and stick to the side. I hate that theres no dryer sheets, i do use softener now, but they still come out slightly staticy. Im learning to use it, definitely on the drying, its best if you can be there RIGHT when it finishes, otherwise its super hard to get wrinkles out. Im keeping it, im willing to have patience, but if yiu have a family and dont have time, dont buy it. Youll want a seperate dryer.

For a family of five, this machine has definely lived up to the hype. The convenience of throw and go cannot be overstated. Gone are the days of walking into a musty load of washed clothes, only to be rewashed and rewashed and rewashed. Our basement has more space than ever and we also have an unused dryer circuit. Delivery from best buy was fast and professional, preparing connecting and hauling away the old appliances. The price was amazing and the job was spectacular.

    Regretful purchase…

If I could go back 3 weeks, I’d just buy two separate units. Honestly my number 1 complaint is the instability. This thing is so heavy and nearly impossible to get balanced. I have it perfectly level and all feet firm on floor and yet it still sounds like it’s going to walk away (and no, I didn’t mistaking leave the large rear bolts in). It’s nice to not have to use dryer sheets, but instead you have the inconvenience of cleaning a very obnoxious lint trap. It’s something that you pull out vertically so all of the lint starts pulling off INSIDE the unit before you can get to it. The clothes are never dry…. Which isn’t the end of the world if you just always use the “more dry” feature, but this means EVERY load will take almost 3 hours to run. Staggering loads in two units was definitely faster. I like that it has a self dispensing detergent container but this is a feature on ANY other modern washer also, so really not worth it. It’s noisy…. Very noisy…. Aside from the awful vibration, it is just a loud machine. And the dry mode has an awful high whine to it that makes it annoying to hear. Lastly DO NOT buy from Best Buy. They literally are scamming their customers into purchasing their expensive club card to get a (normal) 60 day return window. The return window on this is only 14 days! Such a stark contrast to any other stores that sell appliances. DO NOT purchase a pedestal. I got the smaller one and the above complaints were all heightened. It’s horribly too heavy and unstable to have on a pedestal, it shakes 10x more. But note my issues above are even true without the pedestal. Returning it to the store on day 15 left me with a store credit unfortunately because of their awful 14 day return policy. I used to purchase things all the time at Best Buy but their policy for returns and lack of care just makes this a non starter moving forward. Patronize someone else.

    So Far, So Good

I've had one for about six months now, and I'm very satisfied with it. It is almost completely automated. You put in a load, choose the settings, press start, and that's it. When it's done, the clothes are clean and dry. It has remote control from the phone app, and will send you alerts when the load is done. By having automatic dispensers for detergent and softener and washing and drying in one machine, a lot of the manual steps of doing laundry are removed. Maintenance is minimal, and not hard to keep up with, because the machine and app remind you. The only reason anyone should think twice about this type of machine from a practical standpoint is if you regularly do multiple loads one after the other. Since you can't wash one load and dry another at the same time, it will take significantly longer to do multiple loads in a row. Large families who try to wash everything in one day could have a problem with it. But if you can adjust to spacing out loads over the course of the week, it's much more convenient and hassle-free than a regular washer and dryer. The only thing it doesn't do for you is put the load in and fold it when it's done. And the only reason I don't give it five stars is because I'm waiting to see what kind of longevity it has. It's not cheap, but it does have a five year warranty. If it lasts as long as a conventional washer and dryer (which can often last up to 20 years), this is the greatest machine ever made. If it starts having issues within the first few years, it will be a failure. So far, after 6 months, I'd say it's the best thing that's happened to laundry in a long time, and I am totally satisfied with the purchase.

We have had this washer dryer combo 1 year 1 month. This past month things have been breaking more often now that we are out of warranty. Even when this combo is working properly (fort the first 3 months) it doesn't dry clothes all the way and they always come out wrinkled. No matter the load size or if you pull clothes out immediately. I have to iron or stream nearly every item i wash. It would take you less time to just do things traditionally and switch things to the dryer yourself. Now it's not drying at all even though i clean the filter religiously. Which I've never had to do with a traditional dryer. Like i clean it with a vent brush and vacuum. Lucky for me i have a washer and dryer in my basement from the 80s that still runs so i can keep up with laundry until a repair person cones and changes me an arm and leg to fix it.

I love this combo washer and dryer. Is was easy to install no vent needed for the dryer or special electrical hook needed. It makes doing laundry much easier no remebering to transfer the laundry from washer to dryer. It has a detergent and fabric softener container and automatically dispenses these when doing a load of laundry. It also has custom settings for different types of laundry (towels, jeans, bedding and etc). I easily washes and drys my large king size quilts. Connecting to WFII and the AI are fun features which allows the Combo to notify me when my laundry is done.

So the machine does a great job of washing and drying all by itself. In 2-3 hours you uave clean dry cloths. The maon problem is with the lint trap. Lint constantly gets by the filter and atarta blocking the coils on the heat pump. After a frlew months the dryer portion will stop working properly. Its a know issue. We ended up getting the lg washer combo that uses a different lint trap design. It also washes the coils out every load so it eliminates the issue the GE has.

There will be some lint just like on a regular dryer. Lint can still find its way past the filter, and it looks more evident or unusual to some consumers on our Combo due to the filter opening where you see our heat exchanger box. However, even when lint accumulates on the heat exchanger fins, be assured that it will not impact the great drying performance of our Combo. GE_Appliances

This washer/dryer combo is amazing! Pros: + No need for a separate dryer unit, saving space + Uses a regular 110v outlet (did not have a 220v line in our laundry room as our previous dryer used propane) + Don't need to remember to move laundry between units + Energy efficient (~$0.07 per wash+dry cycle in electricity) + Detergent automatically dispensed, removing need to measure/fill it for every load + No exhaust vent + Larger capacity than our old units (from the 90s) + Nice looking design + Touch controls + Auto senses the load and gives an estimate when the cycle will be completed + Easily connected with the app and is convenient to see the progress from anywhere Cons (pretty nitpicky, not really deal breakers): - A little noisy while filling with water and drying, but can be solved by closing the room's door - Sometimes it doesn't completely dry larger items, but just hanging it for a little while afterwards is no big deal - Wish the app had more information for usage stats, it only shows how many cycles you've run in the past 30/90 days. Would be nice to see water usage, electricity usage, average cycle time, etc. - If you cancel a cycle near the end, it does not add it to the app's cycle count - It's heavy All in all we love this machine, it has changed our laundry lives!

We have had this unit for just over a year now and mostly it is not bad but the whole lint system is horrible and difficult to clean out, we just had the motor fail after only a year and another issue with almost every load we have a sock(s) or wash cloth get stuck in the door seal at the bottom. Also there are sometimes when it doesn't dry well but other than these issues and the fact the door is not reversible it has been an ok machine though I would have a hard time recommending it. We will see how things go after the motor gets replaced in a few weeks. on the plus side until the motor went it was very quiet and most loads washed and dried in a few hours. overall it works and we are going to keep it with an extended warranty now added on but if it has more issues we may go back to a higher end separate washer and dryer setup.
