Owned for almost a month now. This combo has been fantastic so far. I have a family of 3 (two adults + toddler). It works out great for us. Space saving and minimal interaction required. Pros: - SPACE SAVER - Minimal interaction needed - Mobile app a bonus, but not required - Decent capacity for a two-in-one (washer/dryer combo) - Features are fantastic (auto fill detergent) - Able to fit a full king size comforter - Can purchase two and they can work side by side with simple water connection splitters. - Start a heavy load at night, it's already dry and ready by morning. Cons: - Due to the drying technology, the cloths can still come out a little damp. Mostly, they're dry enough on first pass, but heavier/thicker items tend to take extra dry time (blankets, dog beds, etc.) This can be programmed into the dry cycle, so not a big issue. - Wash/Dry cycles tend to take longer with this all-in-one unit vs standalone washer and dryer sets. Likely due to the drying technology. - Not sure if this would be a good solution for a big family, or those with LOTS of laundry, as it does add a little more time to the whole process since you can wash and dry loads simultaneously.

    Washing Simplified

Normally, washing is somewhat boring, add clothes, detergent, bleach if needed, turn Machine On, and transfer Clothes to the Dryer when the Wash Cycle has Completed. This Machine makes Washing / Drying 'Enjoyable', The Dispensers Hold Detergent, Softener, and Bleach for more than 1 Cycle, I've had this Machine for about 3 Weeks, and have filled the Dispensers only 1 Time so far, my Wife washes clothes every day, this Machine does have Wi-Fi and does updates when needed, my Wife uses the App to get Alerts regarding detergent and softener levels, as well as the status of the Wash / Dry Cycle. This Machine uses a normal 120v Wall Socket instead of a 240v, and surprisingly, it does not need an exhaust Hose for the Dryer. For Me, It saves Space since I'm using a Single Machine for the Washing and Drying, If you purchase this Machine, you will not be disappointed, However, I do suggest purchasing the optional pedestal stand, it's worth the money, and adds a little more height to the Washer Dryer Unit, I give this Machine a 5 out of 5 Stars.

Great product and super compact compared to separate machines. You will need a special vacuum attachment and long brushes to clean the lint trap when it gets dirty or you will lose performance or need a service call. You can get them off amazon relatively cheap. I recommend washing the lint filter under running water, vacuuming the lint chamber, cleaning the door seal of lint and emptying the bottom filter once a month (especially if you have pets or do a lot of laundry as this is recommended every 40 loads). This is easy to do and should only take you 15-20 mins once a month.

Impressive Performance with a Major Drawback

I recently purchased the GE Appliances heat pump washer/dryer combo, and overall, I am impressed with its performance and energy efficiency. The unit efficiently combines washing and drying functionalities, making it a convenient addition to any household. However, there is one significant drawback that has impacted my overall satisfaction with the product. The main issue lies in the lack of adjustable drying temperature. As an owner of delicate cotton and wool garments, I had hoped that the heat pump technology would deliver lower drying temperatures to prevent fabric shrinkage. Unfortunately, after conducting infrared thermometer measurements, I found that the average drying temperature hovers around 159°F, posing a risk to my delicate clothes. Despite selecting the Delicate cycle, the drying temperature remains consistent with other cycles, rendering it unsuitable for handling delicate fabrics. This limitation defeats the purpose of having a washer/dryer combo, as manually running the drying cycle separately negates the convenience it promises. In comparison to conventional dryers that offer temperature settings, I find it disappointing that this modern unit lacks this basic feature. Customizable drying temperatures would enhance the appliance's versatility, catering to various fabric types and individual preferences. Despite this major drawback, the unit's efficient operation, energy-saving capabilities, and seamless integration of washing and drying processes cannot be overlooked. However, the inability to adjust the drying temperature significantly impacts its suitability for delicate clothing items. In conclusion, the GE Appliances heat pump washer/dryer combo offers impressive performance but falls short in addressing the critical issue of adjustable drying temperatures for delicate fabrics. I urge the company to consider incorporating this essential feature through a future software update to meet the expectations of discerning customers seeking a comprehensive laundry solution.

This washer dryer combo is a dream! It is so convenient to throw clothes in and have it be dry all without transferring my clothes. I love the app and how it tells me when my load is complete and it much quieter than my previous unit. It saves space in my small laundry and I am so happy with my purchase

Wow... we are experincing what the top reviews say. It works like a champ. Unless we do a very large load, dryness is great. I think it treats the clothes gently. On heavier, larger loads, we add additional dry time. Love how you put dirty clothes in and clean clothes come out. I have our machine notify us 5 min before cycle ends. It is truly like a tank and is very heavy at 300 pounds. We love the fact that it doesnt need a vent and doesnt get burning hot like standard dryers do. We have ours installed in an upstairs closet. The directions say 0" clearance needed on sides and top of unit. I noticed the water supply lines installed did make a banging sound when water is called for and shuts off. I put pipe insulation on the supply lines and it stopped banging noises. Also like being able to fill the detergent up to 32 loads before refilling. We LOVE this unit.

The Combo Wsher/Dryer has exceeded expectations for our use case - empty nesters. Time, water and energy savings are great. The low temperature drying seems to leave clothing softer. Dryness is fine after cycle is complete - if not, then the unit is likely in need of service. We somehow lost our BB card. Getting help from BB finaance has been abysmal. Eleven days after reporting missing card, we are still waiting for replacement card so a payment can be made and fighting late fees. Not a good experience with financing so far.

I was a little worried about this because it's a big purchase and I've had read some reviews with concerns on the drying time and drying efficiency, but it's been great so far. I do laundry once or twice a week and not very large loads. You can't expect clothes will come out burning hot because it's whole different drying method but it definitely does the job. The machine is quiet and a medium load takes about 1:20-1:30 to wash and dry. Just pay attention to the maintenance it requires and should be goofld. I'm happy with my purchase.

This machine doubled the storage space in my laundry closet. Living in a condo, this was one of the best upgrades I've made to my place. Not only is it a great space saving pption, but its quiet and energy efficient. I love being able to throw in a load of laundry before going to bed and waking up to a dry pile of clothing waiting in the machine. I was one of those people that would forget to move the laundry over from the wash to the drier, now I no longer have the need to worry about that. All of the parts are easy to maintain and easy to clean. The machine is connected to my phone and will send me a reminder if detergent needs to be added or if something needs to be cleaned and maintained. This is like a step into the future.

So far, so good. Love that it takes up less space and does a good job of washing and drying. The clothes might seem slightly damp when you remove after dry cycle, but that goes away quickly. You may get water hammering in your pipes (we did), as happens with a lot of newer appliances with solenoid valves. If so, you will need to install devices called "hammer arresters".

Took a bit to decide to go with this unit based on reviews but Overall i have 0 complaints from the wife. Only drawback is you have to stay on top of cleaning lint filter but that is part of not needing a vent so not an issue for us.. Even tho it takes longer to wash and dry clothes wife feels like she is doing laundry less often which is crazy but my assumption would be in order for you to do another load you are forced to fold and put away what's in the washer first before you start another one rather than forget it in dryer and now is double work.. It is heavy but for only being a 110v the performance is definitely there. Bad reviews I'd say would be from not keeping up with the lint tray and regular maintenance or just a faulty piece of equipment (it happens) but like my kid says 10 out of 10 would reccomend lol

We’re so glad to hear your Combo is working out well for your family—especially with that glowing "10 out of 10" endorsement from your kid! It's great that you’ve found the performance solid, and you’re absolutely right: regular maintenance like staying on top of the lint filter is key to keeping it running efficiently. It’s also a great point about how the all-in-one design naturally encourages staying on top of the laundry cycle—it’s a small shift that can make a big difference. Thanks again for sharing your experience and for giving the Combo a shot! -Kacie@GEAppliances GE_Appliances

I love the large capacity and the fact that i dont have to be here to move laundry from the washer to the dryer! Just throw in a load before bed or before heading to work, and it’s clean and dry by the time i wake up or get home! The only issue i have with this is that when washing a bulky item such as bedding, it takes multiple drying cycles to get it dry.

I really enjoy the ability to start a load , run a couple errands and come home just in time to hang or fold laundry. The AI automatic sensing for detergent and drying also a plus. Some people complain about how not everything is completely dry. 1. Wash like items/ materials together 2. Shake out the slightly damp and hang up. Another complaint that I read was about smell. The only time I smelled no detergent was before I figured out the automatic dispenser. Bottom line. Read the directions first. Now I love it since I watched the videos and followed the advice.

Still amazed that one unit can both wash and dry. Definitely saves on space. The one drawback is that unlike with a separate washer and dryer, you cannot start a second load while the first is drying. Thus, laundry seems to take a bit longer, but overall we are happy with our purchase,

Really enjoying this machine. The only thing I am trying to get used to is the smell from what I assume is having a heat pump to dry. Right now, using a non-fragrant softener and will try different one soon. Love the ease of use and automatic detergent and softener dispenser. Also ventless is wonderful!

It's amazing. At less than the cost of a washer and a dryer, you get a modern, all in one, smart capable, ventless drying, high capacity machine. While run times are much longer than you would normally expect, it really doesn't matter. Pop in a load before you leave for work and when you return, it's dry and ready. Very quiet compared to our old machines. It does have a few moments in certain cycles that are a bit louder and when it's drying a low frequency hum can be heard. Not a bother for our setup, but something to be aware of. The clothes don't feel the same either. At first we thought they were still wet but no funky smell or wet film was found. Clothes smell fresh and clean, even without scent boosters or any dryer additives. Static also seems very low.

All in one works ok love the thought of this unit. But sometimes drying is a process in its own. Also had the pump go out once already. So a family of 6 kinda sucks waiting for the service call to find the issue then parts then come back to repair. Other than that great unit but a larger family might want 2 units.

First of all the only 1-star reviews worth anything are those that had actual breakdowns and had to deal with support, I don't doubt their troubles. The rest just didn't seem to know how to use the machine and didn't bother researching what they were buying. I removed one star due the the fact we have to modify the lint filter ourselves so that lint doesn't get all over the heat pump coils but it's easy to do just look on YouTube. It is set it and forget it. I put my laundry in, normally just do a quick run, sometimes normal or bedding. but always make sure to turn on "more dry" and "wrinkle control".A few hours later I get a notification my laundry is done. Things may feel a bit damp but it is just humid, one shake and they are dry.
