Aweome and convenient because of the no vent requirement. Laundry room is a smaller area and it saves alot of dpace only having one machine instead of two. The only downside is when drying towels or blankets it takes a while and easy to overload it to where have to do multiple srying cycles.

I have this combo for over a year now and it's amazing,i no longer have to worry about switching the laundry from the washer to the dryer. It completes the cycle in around 2 hours and the dries clothes well, never going back.

“Load Sensing” nightmare - do not buy

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I am on my second machine. I purchased my first in October 2024. It stopped working in August 2025. At that time, it was perpetually stuck in load sensing instead of drying so the clothes would all get washed, but the water wouldn’t get spun out, and it would not dry. But worse than that load sensing will run as long as you let it. So do not do a load of laundry before bed or before you go to work because you will come home in the machine will have been running all day. It’s really helpful in the app that they tell you how many kilowatt hours you’re using in a day just puts the knife right to the heart of how useless this machine is and how it actually cost you money. That coupled with the laundromat expense is phenomenal. October 2025 GE replaced it with a new machine same model. I’ve had the machine eight weeks. It’s doing the exact same thing. GE doesn’t look at it as a continuation of the first problem they look at it as a new problem. So they’re insisting on going through the hassle of trying to find a technician in my area who will come fix it… guess what nobody will come fix it. It weighs 318 pounds and requires two people to move it so technicians will not work on this machine because it takes two of them for one job and they’re not gonna get paid for two technicians on one job.

Magical! I've only had this a month but so far it works great, major time saver not switching loads and I like the fact it doesn't over dry baby clothes that shrink easily. Make sure upon delivery though the folks remove shipping bolts on back. It was shaking violently until we called for service and here it was shipping bolts still attached, Ran perfect after that. No need to vent either - which was a huge bonus for us and not needing 220 electric plug. Will be buying another for daughter's condo!

It does a good job washing and has some great features. The drying isn't the best, the majority of the cloths are dry but I'm finding that the cotton t-shirts are pretty damp still. Also, if you didn't buy the pedestal its not easy to clean the pump clean out. To start out, I had set up for delivery for specific day and was off work for the delivery which was suppose to be between (I think) 1 to 5. I ended up getting a call at 12 that they wouldn't be there and re-scheduled me for almost 2 weeks later. I had already taken my old washer and dryer out and I no longer had them. When I went to the store to find out what was going on, the manager told the associate that they fly their guys in (from out of town) that do the set up, and they did not fly in that day.... HMMM, interesting because the guys that set it up (below about setting up) were from town... so I was lied to. ( NOT HAPPY ON BEING LIED TO!!) So now, I had to take another day off work, and take my cloths elsewhere to wash/dry them. I had it delivered and paid for set up, however I would give the Best Buy delivery guys a MINUS -10 !! Best Buy contracts out there delivery and apparently they don't train them and let anybody just do it. First, taking it out of the box they tilted it back on the back side, and it is suppose to be tilted to the side to get the bottom of the box off (hopefully I don't have issues later on because of this). 2nd, they brought it in, and didn't hook it up right. Nothing was done correct and I ended up fixing their mess up. Just one example is they shoved water drain hose all the way down, didn't un-hook it from the back of the machine completely. They left the metal brackets that were on the back for packing on and were to be taken off. This is just a couple examples.

This is the best investment ive made. Love it you can put in load and set and its done by and waiting in the morning or whenever you are ready. Ive washed 12 loads so far. It does take little getting use to when load is done you open the door the clothes feel like they are slightly damp but they are not. When you give a quick shake they are fine. This has to do with heat pump drying. Even though i have a dryer vent i love that fact i dont have to vent this unit. The laundry room doesnt get as hot. Also these units produce less lent.

Overall, it does a great job and saves time. My only reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the fact that bulky items e.g., pillows, comforters (king size), etc., do not dry well even after extra hours of dry time. Heavier loads, I definitely have to select 'extra dry', which makes me question if I'm being as energy efficient as I think I am. Regardless, a solid 4 stars for saving me time!

Hi - Thank you for having purchased our innovative Profile UltraFast Combo. While are thrilled to hear the unit overall does a great job and saves you time, we hate to hear your concerns regarding long dry times. It is normal for your clothes to feel slightly damp at first because of the sealed drum, but when you pull them out and give them a quick shake they’ll feel dry. If your clothes are still damp/not dry, we recommend making sure your software is up to date; an update can often resolve an issue such as this. If you’ve already updated to the latest software version and you’re still having long dry times, we recommend having a GE Appliances service technician check the unit. You may schedule a service appointment to do so by calling 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is helpful and wish you the very best! Vikki@GEAppliances GE_Appliances

This fit perfectly in our laundry area. Leaving space for additional storage was the plan. It has a balancing issue with us being in a mobile home set up like a pier and beam structure. When the Spin Cycles we going, the home vibrated a lot... If we were on a concrete slab, this probably would not have been an issue. We really like this otherwise.

This machine is super convenient and comparable to buying a separate washer and dryer when on sale. I will say, we use the “more dry” feature because we have a lot of thick clothes and items we wash. But for delicates and thinner items, the regular air dry works fine. Yes it does feel different than when using regular dryers. But I believe it’s true that it’s because it’s not over-drying and damaging your clothes. I did buy the warranty since it’s a newer model and I want to have security in case something does go wrong. It does take a while for washing and drying, but honestly comparable to having two separate machines, the time is just added together. We don’t generally have a ton of clothes to wash at once so I don’t mind it taking a bit of time like others mention.

I hesitantly splurged on this a little over a year ago (primarily because my ancient washer finally gave out, I only have space for a stacking set and *need* room on top for storage, and apparently all modern stacking sets are several inches taller for the same load capacity as my old set). I was worried it wouldn't live up to its promises, but I've had zero issues in the 15 months since buying this, it's made doing laundry more convenient, AND I have room in my tiny laundry closet for shelving!!

A great washer/dryer. You just put your stuff in, press a few buttons, and come back in about three to four hours to clean clothes. Yes, it takes longer than a separate washer and dryer, but for that you have to be there to take the clothes out of the washer and put them in the dryer. If that takes you a couple of hours to get around to, then this is much faster. The water and electricity savings are also a great bonus. The biggest inconvenience is that this is deeper than a standard washer or dryer, and the door hinge is on the left side and cannot be changed. We put this in my laundry room, and it cannot set on the left side because the room door hits this unit, so it sits on the right. But the hinge is on the left, so the door gets in the way when trying to load or unload it. Other GE frontloaders allow you to switch the hinge, so it is annoying that this one can't.

Hey there! We are thrilled to hear that you're enjoying your new UltraFast Combo unit. We can understand how not being able to reverse the door is something that will take getting used to, but there is a reason for this. This unit is more efficient compared to your previous sets due to our High-Airflow Ventless Drying System. This system recirculates the air in the unit, and the door design helps the air flow through the tub during your drying cycle and promotes proper drying. You can read more about this in an article on our GE Appliances website titled "GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo with Ventless Heat Pump Technology Washer/Dryer" under the support tab. If you have any questions about our amazing Combo unit, please reach out. Wishing you the best! Julia@GEAppliances GE_Appliances

I am very sad to write this, Please take your time to better research. I wanted this machine for a very long time, it was the perfect match for my space, I have it for 6 months now and I absoblutly REGRET this purchase, total WASTE of money, Now I HATE doing laundry. its large capacity but will NOT handle large loads, can not handle multiple towels, can NOT handle fluffy blnakets or ropes, Will take up to 6 hours of work trying to dry for you to realize is soaked in hot water, and what about the clever drying filter? well that is so much work, cleaning that is very hard, I bought a special attachemtn for my dyson to collect the lint, and still a total hassle/failure, got some unaccesible lint that collects moisture and is not reachable, very concern about MOLD, the light loads that can handle will come out very wrinkle, even with the fancy dewrinkle feature that takes over 30min, I sure wish I can GET MY MONEY BACK.

I have had the all in one for a few months now and it works great. I love not having to switch clothes out from a washer to a dryer. The one downside is when I wash my queen size casaluna comforter it won’t fully dry. I’ve even tried adding a second drying cycle and it barely makes a difference.

I followed this machine from the very beginning, waited until all the bugs were worked out, and then I purchased it after waiting patiently. Apparently not patient enough. I purchased 4 months ago and have had to have a repair tech out twice already. The ventless heat pump really is a problem. Despite how well you clean it and maintain it - you're going to have problems and your machine is going to stop working. There is an access panel on the front at the bottom. This is where the drain is, where all the hair, dust, random stuff you forgot to take out of your pockets, all that stuff goes. When you open it to clean out the blockage and get disgusting water all over the floor in the process, you have to pull whatever is in there out and then hope that did the trick. It doesn't work all the time. The dryer doesn't dry even small loads on the highest heat and the "more dry" setting. Your clothes will consistently come out slightly damp. If that's what you prefer then more power to you. Personally, I like wearing dry clothes. This is a MASSIVE space saver in the laundry room. I absolutely love that aspect. The machine itself is massive and heavy but for what it takes up in size, it creates in space by not having two machines. One of my biggest selling points. The app is quite functional. It will remind you that you've left your load of laundry (again) after an hour and then you can set it to automatically tumble your clothes so they don't get wrinkled and gross. SO helpful. The downloadable settings for various types of loads are great as well and if connected to WiFi, the machine will automatically receive and download any updates. The detergent and softener tanks are quite large and will automatically dispense a preset amount (which can be turned on/off per load) leaving your laundry days as simple as literally "throwing in a load" and walking away. You can even set the type/brand of detergent/softener you use in the app. The filter is easy to clean. Quick rinse under water and you're good to go. It tells you when it needs to be cleaned. The machine as a whole, really is fool proof. Not great if you have pets (or children) because the inner ring collects literally everything. Pretty sure I found my neighbor's dog in there once. And it's quite difficult to clean. I haven't had any issues with mold/mildew, but any hair that is caught in there, stays there until it turns to sand essentially, getting on everything. Overall, I really want to love this machine. And I do, I just wish it worked reliably. Instead, I've spent a few grand on a machine, just to go to the laundromat every couple months instead.
