An amazing machine, so unique and efficient. When our dryer needed repair our trusted repairman recommended we replace it (too costly to fix) and recommended we check out the GE All in One, he told us about how several customers had loved theirs. We did the research and went to Best Buy and purchased TWO units! We replaced one washer and one dryer with two GE All in Ones. They are fantastic, my wife is thrilled with them as it cuts her cleaning time in half and the clothes come out better than ever.

Ok but worth the space saving and connivence factor. Hard to get clothes actually dry without adding more time which nears a 3 hr cycle

I want to start by saying the concept is great. The machine is beautiful and I really enjoyed it for about 30 days. I have had this washer/dryer combo for long enough (10-ish months) to advise others to choose something else. The first issue started only a couple of months into owning it. The clothes were dripping wet at the end of the dry cycle. The repair man came out and said it had a clog. The lint screen does not catch all of the hair and particles from sneaking past and creating a clog. This has been a nonstop issue. Error codes pop up on the screen with the red ring of death every few days and it is a gamble on whether or not the clothes are still going to be wet at the end of the cycle. I have put a "15 articles of clothing or less" limit on each wash (which is inconvenient for a $2500 machine). I religiously clean out the lint trap, have made brush and vacuum attachment devices to clean out the lint that gets stuck in the lint screen compartment (Shouldn't have to do), drain the bottom catch every 3 washes (there is hardly ever anything in it), turn on the "more dry" setting every wash, set the spin cycle to "extra high" to help wring out the clothes before the dry cycles starts, I run the self clean cycle every 3 or 4 days, sit on the floor for what feels like hours with a pair of tweezers and pick lint and hair out of the port holes in the blue silicone ring and between the ring and the metal drum. I try to keep it as clean as possible and keep the software up to date, but I still run into the error code and a major issue with the clothes not drying. I understand that the manufacturer states to shake the clothes when they are complete to achieve the dry feeling but my clothes are more damp than just shaking dry. Sometimes i can still wring water out of them. I am not one to complain about products but this washer dryer combo has been more of a hassle than a help. I gave it a fair chance by keeping it for as long as I have but I don't want to deal with it any longer. Getting a service tech out to fix the frequent issues is a nightmare and the lead time on parts to replace is 6 weeks. The price of this unit is not holding up to the standard it should be performing at.

It's a fantastic washer and dryer. The clothes sometimes feel a little damp but once you take them out but after a second it feels normal. It was a life changer getting to throw dirty clothes in then go to bed and wake up to fresh clean clothes. Not need to stay up to put them in the dryer or wake up and put them in later.

Neat Idea With Terrible Customer Support from GE

When it is working 'as designed' it's a great unit. However, it rarely works as designed. Any bulky items such as bedding and/or sweatshirts send this combo unit into a series of error messages (Error System Message 8 - Low Water Supply) which ultimately results in the unit not finishing the load and just shutting down. There are a few places in this machine where there is an accumulation of lint and water. These areas are increasingly difficult to access and on one occassion, my wife cut her finger attempting to clear lint from a metal grid behind the lint filter. I purchased this unit 09/2023. This unit is less than 2 years old. I did not purchase the protection plan (shame on me). I contacted GE, as this machine has limited warranties on the motor and the sealed drying system. When I contacted GE, I learned they are LESS THAN WILLING to stand behind their product! They argued with me that I purchased the unit in July of 2023 - even when I told them I was staring at the screen showing my purchase details from Best Buy and then essentially told me they couldn't do anything to assist me in regaining the function of my large appliance that is LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD! It wasn't until I pointed out that the person from GE had offered to do nothing to find me resolution to my issue. She had her own accounting of the phone call and insisted I said the unit was dead. I again raised question of no way of them knowing the error conditions I am experiencing are tied to the motor or drying system without scheduling a service appointment - AND she hadn't even offered that! Once I said something highlighting this - she was quick to get one scheduled. Terrible customer support experience. BOTTOM LINE: The concept of this unit is decent. We are a family of 5. Being able to start another load of laundry while one is in the dryer is nice. With this unit, a load of laundry takes a minimum of 2+ hours. With a bigger family, this thing runs constantly! Ours has been finicky and hopefully the service call will remedy the issues we are experiencing, but if I were to do it again - I wouldn't or at the very least purchase the protection plan from BB.

Overall really impressive machine. Really easy to use and clothes always smell fantastic. Only knock is the the drying capability is underpowered. Regularly needing to run an extra dry cycle and dress clothes specifically don't come out as crisp as a traditional drying unit.

If I could give it less than one star I would. This machine is worthless. I purchased three of them and fought with all three of them for two years before I am finally going to have to just throw them away. I've paid for constant repairs. They don't dry the clothes completely. It's a LOT of work to keep the lint trap clean because it's very poorly designed. If the slightest bit of lint gets to an area where your lint brush can't reach it, the machine will sense it and will stop getting hot so your clothes won't dry. Now I keep getting an error message and it locks itself shut and won't open until you call a repair person out. I just had to make a second call for this same error. Do yourself a favor and do NOT buy this machine.

We're sorry to hear about your combo requiring multiple service calls. We'd like to help out with this. Like a traditional dryer, you will not be able to clean 100% of the lint from your combo. The combo is designed and tested to ensure great drying performance, even if there is a considerable amount of lint buildup. The amount of lint produced can depend on several factors, including the types of clothes and materials that are laundered or if any shedding pets are in the home. However, if your combo is not able to finish any cycles, we'd like to look into this. Please send us a private message via Facebook, Instagram, X, or TikTok with your contact information, complete model/serial numbers, and a copy of this review. GE_Appliances

Great for single guy. No problems yet, but I've only had the washer dryer for a couple of months. Loads of clothing only take about 2 and a half hours on average to wash and dry. Over 3 hours for bulky items like towels. Very convenient piece of equipment. Love that there is no dryer hose needed.

It's been over a month now with this unit. So far, so good. it averages about 2 hours a load, depending. one thing I noticed is some things tend to not dry completely, like wet not damp. i end up using the extra dry setting on just about every load which can be set at the beginning of the load. Other than that, i'm happy with it. It performs quite well. I suggest getting the pedestal for it. it will make for easier access into the drum, and ground clearance to drain the filter housing when it's time to clean it.

Zero regrets buying this. I've had zero issues so far in the 4 months since purchasing. I am so impressed. The best part for me is being able to throw a load of laundry in before bed or before I leave for work and knowing I won't have to switch it over to the dryer. It is just taken care of. Installation was quick. While it is a pretty big (tall) machine, it saves me so much space. Can't recommend it enough. Worth every penny.

This is the best laundry machine I've had in my life. So easy to use and love the simplicity of it while also not having to worry about switching my laundry. Clothes feel damp when you first take them out but just give them a shake and you'll feel they're actually dry. If you don't want your clothes to automarically dry though, there's settings for that as well. Revolutionary! Truly. GE has outdone themselves. Price is a little high but worth it and about the same for high end washers and dryers both.

This washer/dryer combo is the real deal. It does exactly what it says it will do and it has made our lives so much easier. Make sure you have a few strong guys though as this is the heaviest appliance I have ever owned I could not recommend, it enough, and I am extremely happy with Best Buy for their ease of use of the application and having the best prices around. Not to mention the geek squad protection is a great value for what they offer.

We absolutely love the machine. We always use the more dry setting but things are dry they just dont always feel like it. Manual says to shake it once and sure enough it feels dry. Super weird to get used to but has to do with how things are sealed in. We did King sized bedding and that was perfectly clean and dry - we couldnt believe it. Used to always forget about laundry at night or in the morning but now it doesnt matter since it drys itself. I highly recommend this to anyone in search of a new machine

Very convenient. It's nice not needing the gas hookup or fancy electric plug. It uses less space. I like not having to switch from washer to dryer. I really like the automatic detergent dispenser and delayed start option is nice too. You do need to shake our you clothes as you pull them out after drying.

This combo washer/dryer is an amazing piece of engineering. 3 cheers to GE for a high quality, well built product. My only complaint is a heavy load of thick type fabric (towels, for example) sometimes are not totally dry at the end of the cycle. I find if I select the "More Dry" option at the beginning of the cycle that usually takes care of it. Otherwise, it's as close to set and forget laundry that we can get!

Owned 3 weeks, so qualified recommend. This one works. washes and fully dries in <2.5 hours, with "more dry" selected. No more "damp dry". R Arthritis, so moving heavy wet clothing is a challenge. The last combo unit pump failed x 3. Best buy returned the full purchase price 4.5y into our 5 yr extended warranty. 1 medium dog with fine short hair hasn't clogged it yet. Bought the 5 yr extended warranty again.

Washes and dries the clothes perfectly. Auto-dispenses the detergents for ultimate laziness. Less harsh on the clothes when drying than a more typical dryer. No venting is a real charm as there is no need to run an ugly dryer vent anywhere and since you don't have one you don't need to clean one! Works great with my two dogs that shed quite a bit. The app even harasses you when you've been sitting on the couch too long to let you know the clothes have been in there for an hour or more.
