Worse Laundry Machine ever

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the worse laundry machine we've ever owned I wouldn't recommend it to anyone service has been here multiple times for 353 error and board issues they replaced 1 board with new board 2nd board was junk tech never verified the machine was working properly before leaving we try to wash and the buttons don't allow us to start the machine so once again we are waiting for another tech to come next week

Horrible Deliver/Installation Experiences

I ordered this combo machine as a replacement. On two separate occasions, and after at least 50 phone calls over that month, Bestbuy has stood me up on scheduled installation appointments on two separate occasions, after waiting at home all day on each occasion. No call, no nothing. When calling the customer “service” number, each time I was told my appointment was still good and that installers would be arriving, while claiming they had no way of reaching the installers. Those were lies!!

Clothes don't fully dry and are very wrinkled. Now machine doesn't dry at all. Technicians say its due to pet hair that passes straight through the filter, which will be a recurring issue that can only be fixed by a tech. DO NOT BUY, especially if you have pets. GE has been terrible to work with. This machine should not be sold to anyone.

Posted .We understand an issue with drying performance would be concerning, and we want to help. Our Combo uses ventless heat pump technology; because of the design, it would be normal for clothes to feel slightly damp after the cycle is complete. If you pull the clothes out and give them a quick shake, your laundry will feel dry in a few seconds! If the clothes still seem too damp, we recommend making sure the software is up to date. Updates can often resolve an issue, and we have instructions available for checking the software in an article on our GE Appliances website titled “GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Finding the Software Version ID"; you can view that when you search for the title and click the ‘Support’ tab. Additional troubleshooting tips are available in the manual, which you can view on our website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you aren’t able to resolve this and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 833-426-3393.

Toxic smell

I am concerned this smell is harmful as this appliance also has the Prop 65 warning.

This should help resolve any new machine smells that may exist as a residual odor from the manufacturing process. Please be assured there is no toxic aspect to the components we use in the manufacture of this unit. California Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, is required by California to inform consumers and manufacturers about protecting the state’s drinking water sources from contaminants. ALSO the proection plan through best buy is useless because they force you to go through the manufacture!! if you dont want headaches stay away from this garbage

Can’t recommend because no dryer temp control!

But the insurmountable issue is that YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE DRYER TEMPERATURE AT ALL! Have delicate items? Active wear? Anything else that requires “tumble dry low”? You are out of luck. The dryer dries at 160 degrees regardless of cycle chosen. You cannot adjust the temp. You can choose a Delicate or Activewear cycle but that adjusts only water temp and spin velocity. So if you ever dry things at different temps this is not for you.

Unlike other drying systems, your UltraFast Combo uses a new way of drying clothes where changing or adjusting drying temperatures is not needed, regardless of the type of clothing. Your Combo dries all your clothes using our patented Ventless Heat Pump Technology. This new technology helps prevent over-drying and provides optimal care of all your laundry during your dry cycle by incorporating multiple temperature and humidity sensors, lower temperatures, and high air-flow. The high air-flow is the main component of this technology, allowing the drying process to be gentler on all your clothes. The 160° temperature is the air outlet from the compressor/fan, not the temperature of the actual clothing. For an issue with leaking, we recommend checking the door gasket to ensure there’s no damage, and the fill hoses/drain hose to make sure they’re properly connected, with tight connections. I have called multiple times, I was told I would receive a physical copy to replace the digital copy that did not work however when I Called back two weeks later I was told that was an error. I have been transferred 6+ times and called 5 different numbers. I still have no resolution.

Defective upon purchase

Never Again G.E.

Randomly decides to dump bleach and ruins clothes
