Overall an amazing machine. Its appearance is commanding and impressive. It is a quiet machine with both the wash and dry cycles creating little noise. If the door to your laundry room is closed you will hear no noise at all from the machine. There are some cons with the unit though. 1. We noticed that our agitator machine did a better job of cleaning. This machine is acceptable though and is by no means a deal breaker. 2. You absolutely have to use the "wrinkle care" setting or your clothes will be very wrinkled. This is especially true if you don't take your clothes out as soon as the load is finished. 3. A wash and drying cycle is longer than our agitator machine and dryer. This is especially true if you count the "load-sensing" and "cool down" times at the end of the cycle. 4. The lint collector could be better designed. After removing the lint collector there is always an accumulation of lint at the back of the lint slot that is almost impossible to get to. 5. The app shows the time of day when the load will be finished but it would also be nice if the machine showed the same information. 7. Sometimes there is water left in one of the manual trays for fabric softener or liquid blech. This causes a problem on the next load if you want to use one of the trays in that you have to remove the water before filling the tray with bleach or fabric softener. 8. There are some errors in the owner's manual. Having said all this there are so many positive features with this unit that we would never go back. Good job GE.

Had it for only 1 month and so far it’s great. It dries the clothes well. Other reviews say the clothes didn’t completely dry. It’s easy to learn all the features. You just have to take time to try them out. Pros: big space saver for my small washroom. Set it and forget it is nice. It just tells me when it’s done via the app. Cons: nothing so far. If you want to keep it in tip top shape you will want to clean the filter after every load. For me that’s not a problem. Also delivery and removal from Best Buy was easy and smooth.

We absolutely love this GE all in one. I have a tendency to forget clothes or sheets or anything really, in the washer and then have to rewash several times to remove the funky smell. With our GE one and done, that is a problem i dont have anymore. It remembers for me. Now i just have to find a machine to fold them too. This machine may be a little heavy, but it's a real game changer.Have i mentioned how stylish it is? I think it would look great in any room in my house and is definitely a space saver. And let me just say, your clothes will thank you. Its easy to use, saves on electricity and really takes alot of the thinking out of doing laundry. Other that "Who's gonna fold it"? Do yoyrself a favor, when its time for a new lwasher/dryer, get the GE one and done. Youll thank yourself for it.

Washes well, dries great, sips just the tiniest amounts of energy and water, doesn't heat up the garage much, doesn't need a vent sends me notifications the laundry is done, dry, ready to fold. It's an awesome machine. And I have a dog. The filter assembly, and the overall machine's robustness to dog hair is a rough point though. A year in, we spend a lot of time carefully cleaning the interior & the various interior ports for water and air, vacuuming out crevices ... everything we can do to keep the lint, sand, and dog fur from clogging the filter. I would buy again, but GE's really got to re-engineer filtration because ... it's pretty common to have a dog. He sheds an ordinary amount.

Love, love, love this thing! We are a family of 6. At first i though it would be too small, but man this thing can fit a lot of clothes in it. I put a load in before i go to bed and its done when i wake up. I put another load in before i go to work and its done before i get home. Takes about 2 hours per load. Ive had it for less than 24 hours and am almost caught up on laundry!

Would have given it a 10 if I could. I named her Rosie because iwhat else do you call something that is practically a robot that does your laundry. We are terrible about forgetting to put laundry in the dryer. Just put the clothes in and she does the rest. Clothes are even cleaner because the automatic dispenser uses the correct amount of detergent. I get notifications on my phone letting me know when the load us done and I can check the time left and even control it from the app. It tells you when to clean the filters and even has a self cleaning feature. If you read the manual and follow the directions you will love it. This is not your average washing machine, you need to learn to use it. It’’s worth the read.

I was so worried that I chose the wrong machine! When I started my search for an all in one machine the GE wasn't even on my radar. I was trying to choose between the LG and the Samsung and was leaning towards the Samsung. When I physically went to see them at home Depot the salesman tried talking me in to the GE and when I compared the look of them alone I thought the Samsung actually looked cheaper. The GE was quite stylish and I liked everything except the bright blue silicone liner around the door. It still bothers me today because it traps lots of gunk and needs to be wiped clean after each use imo. I then had to make a quick decision because there was a sale ending. All 3 machines were on sale for the same price and I jumped on the GE and prayed I wasn't making a mistake. The delivery date was a week away and I stressed out it the whole time. I started reading people's reviews and everyone had issues with the drying of all the machines. And the GE actually says in its booklet that clothes may be damp when done and I lost all hope. At $2k for a machine it should fold and put your clothes away for you. Well I can say that this machine is wonderful. Everything dries wonderful. I did need to mess with settings and find my sweet spot and I am so happy. It's a beautiful machine and I definitely recommend it to anyone that asks. Maybe the other brands are just as good but I always remember my parents buying GE and figured that seeing they made these all in ones first then they had more time to work the kinks out of the machine. I think I chose right!?!

Really enjoying this machine. The only thing I am trying to get used to is the smell from what I assume is having a heat pump to dry. Right now, using a non-fragrant softener and will try different one soon. Love the ease of use and automatic detergent and softener dispenser. Also ventless is wonderful!

LOVE this washer/dryer combo. Agree with other reviewers that it may not come out as dry as a stand-alone dryer, but I just always use the "more dry" setting and never have an issue. Love that it saves space, no vent hook up needed, and what is better than all-in-one. Getting so much more laundry done and so much relief just throwing load in and not thinking about it for awhile lol. Also great capacity considering it's one unit. I was previously not able to wash my King size comforter at home but now I can!

How many time have your kids said they need a specific item to wear tomorrow right as your tucking them in? And you have got to try and remember to go run put them in the dryer before kiddo wakes up ready for them to be put on? Which most of the time I fail at them making it to the dryer by the next morning. This totally eliminates that issue! I put a load on right before bed and they are perfectly washed and dried when I wake up. It has really simplified my life. I will be honest, I truly hate GE products but I really do like this machine alot. The only annoyance(which is not a dealbreaker for me), the lint filter has to be cleaned out much more frequently or it will not dry your clothes. It does have reminders to tell you when to do it but if you ignore it for too long, your gonna end up coming to get dry clothes and find they are still wet since the filter hasn't been cleaned. It's kind of like a 2 part filter. There is a part on the filter that you just swipe off the fluff like in a normal dryer, but then there is another part you have to remove and wash it under water, similar to how a reusable air conditioner filter would be, that's the annoying part but over all it's really not that bad considering the convenience of being able to turn it on and when you come back they have already been washed and dried. I would buy it again. Oh and make sure to buy the separate podium that this machine sits on. I thought it was pointless but when it came time to clean the machine and drain it, I was wishing I had purchased that extra piece.

Thanks for the thoughtful and honest review! We know that last-minute laundry requests are all too real, and we're so glad this Combo has helped simplify your routine and deliver clean, dry clothes by morning. You’re absolutely right: regular maintenance like staying on top of the lint filter is key to keeping it running efficiently, it’s great to hear that the convenience and performance of this model outweigh that. A Time-Saving Marvel: GE Profile 4.8 cu. ft. Ultra

I recently invested in the GE Profile 4.8 cu. ft. UltraFast Combo Washer & Electric Dryer, and it has proven to be a game-changer in my laundry routine. This appliance combines the efficiency of a washer and the convenience of an electric dryer, making laundry day a breeze. Performance (5/5): The UltraFast technology lives up to its name, providing impressive washing and drying speeds without compromising on cleanliness. The washer's 4.8 cu. ft. capacity is more than sufficient for my family's needs, and the electric dryer efficiently tackles the laundry load with precision. Versatility (4/5): The combo design is ideal for those with limited space, combining two essential appliances into one. However, it might take a bit of time to adjust to the smaller load capacities compared to standalone units. Nevertheless, the convenience of having a single unit that handles both washing and drying outweighs this minor drawback. Ease of Use (5/5): The intuitive controls and a user-friendly interface make this combo washer and dryer a joy to operate. The variety of wash and dry cycles cater to different fabric types and soil levels, providing flexibility for all laundry needs. The inclusion of a steam-cleaning option is a nice touch, ensuring garments come out fresh and wrinkle-free. Design and Build (4/5): The sleek and modern design of the GE Profile unit adds a touch of sophistication to my laundry area. The build quality feels robust, and the door opens wide for easy loading and unloading. However, the unit can be a bit noisy during certain cycles, which may be a consideration for those with living spaces close to the laundry area. Energy Efficiency (4/5): The Energy Star certification assures me that I am making a conscious choice towards energy efficiency. The washer's ability to extract more water during the spin cycle helps reduce drying time, contributing to overall energy savings. In conclusion, the GE Profile 4.8 cu. ft. UltraFast Combo Washer & Electric Dryer has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, ease of use, and space-saving design. While there are some minor considerations, the overall efficiency and convenience make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to streamline their laundry routine.

Read alot of bad reviews on these, decided yo get one anyways. Its definitely a learning curve. Im super simple, so i dont sort anything and like to use like 1 option. If you wash towel, you need to select towels, as when it drues itll make them fluffy. If you dont, they wont dry and stick to the side. I hate that theres no dryer sheets, i do use softener now, but they still come out slightly staticy. Im learning to use it, definitely on the drying, its best if you can be there RIGHT when it finishes, otherwise its super hard to get wrinkles out. Im keeping it, im willing to have patience, but if yiu have a family and dont have time, dont buy it. Youll want a seperate dryer.

I bought this machine for a new apartment I moved in where I didnt have access to exhaust or 220 outlet, so this seemed perfect. I have had this machine for 3 weeks and given the reviews I read I really had high hopes. The reality is that my old maytag (13 years and was still working fine when I moved) washing and dryer pair were doing a far superior job (and I thought they were just average)...Here are my observations: 1) The machine looks to have a high capacity, but if you try to load 2/3 with sweaters and winter gear it will go on forever...I tried a "normal" cycle, its went for 5 hours and stuck on drying and "sensing" , having started at 7p.m. I manually stopped it after 1 A.M needing to go to sleep with most items just wet. I can only imagine my electricity bill. there is no excuse for this poor performance. 2) not easy to just add drying time... it dryes by using water, so you cant just "dry" a bit more for 10 mins, you need to do at least min 30 mins otherwise will be more wet than you entered it. 3) When the machine is in drying cycle it ommits smell which feels mechanical... since I placed the machine in a big closet in my bedroom, I have to open all windows when done. 4) Items dont feel nor smell clean- I tried using double the pods I usually do...I ended up adding softener (never used before) just to get some slight fresh smell. 5) YOU HAVE TO USE STAIN REMOVAL for any little stain (Didnt have to do that before), ITS horrible is stain removal. 6) some lighter clothes (not white) have small stains \lines transferred from other clothes. I have had a few shirts ruined due to this. 7) some sock always gets stuck at the door (due to the design) and is not washed. some socks smell the same after the wash as they did before. Overall each time I put the laundry on it seems like a gamble...will it clean it? will it dry it? how many hours will it run for? will it ruin my teenage daughter shirt and I will have to answer for it?...so much stress! I do wonder about all those good reviews...if you have a choice and have the hookups go for the traditional choices. I really wished for this machine to work well.

Love this washer/dryer! I’ve had it for 6 months and it’s made everything so easy. It’s easy to clean. The filters and areas to put detergent/softner are right in front. You can pause the laundry in case you forgot to add a piece of dirty laundry. You can change setting over the phone to add more time to wash or dry. It does take longer to do both functions but is more convenient because you don’t have to be gone to switch from wash to dry.

This jem is the best thing since they've invented pockets! Saves time, saves energy, saves on your gas bill, saves SPACE in your laundry room and saves on product. Love the fact that a load of clothes goes in, I can go about my day, leave and come back home and everything is done! Features, so many different items! Smart dispensers for both detergent and softener. Quiet, and clean. At first I needed some help understanding how to use this cool machine, but after I reviewed the YouTube video it made perfect sense. It is literally one and done. You will not be disappointed! Ok it is heavy so I recommend having Bestbuy deliver and install for you. Sure it’s easy to install but why do it if someone else can? It’s a perfect height. It’s really big and can handle 2 quilts with ease. Ventless system is amazing. Warranty is great to have just encase. I haven’t had anything negative beyond it being very heavy. It’s beautiful! Overall, this is a great machine. It’s big, efficient, and performs well (had it for a year now). The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that the lint filter design is kinda bad… and it’s extremely tight and difficult to clean inside the machine. I change the lint every time but inevitably some gets stuck inside or on the heat pump fins and it’s extremely difficult to get out

We've been using the Washer/Dryer Combo for about a month now and it's met all our expectations. We wanted a unit that is easy to use without overly complicated controls, large enough to handle king size comforters, has an extra rinse cycle, doesn't take up as much room as a traditional washer/dryer pair, and does it all without having to move laundry from the washer to the dryer. We had been considering stackable units but this is a much better option for us.The ventless heat pump technology for drying actually works better than we expected. Strongly recommend this unit.

Does what it says on the label. It washes and dries without having to swap laundry from washer to dryer. No more smelly forgotten wet loads. Can be plugged into a regular outlet, and no vent required means it's very versatile. Total cycle times are long, and drying can sometimes be weaker for densor clothing items and bedding. Once you learn the quirks then it does things extremely well. I will be adding a second unit to serve my family of 6.

Do you forget your wash? Have to wash it again? And again? Another time? Yeah, me too. My dryer broke and I had been eyeing this for MONTHS! I swore to Hubby, either breaks, this was replacing. Best. Desision. Ever! Ok, maybe not the best, but its up there. Expensive? Worth it. Just in the savings of time and having to rewash clothes, it will ‘pay’ for itself. No dryer hose to worry about lint fires (huge worry on my part), the app tells you when laundry is done and reminds you its in there once (an hour after its done), tells you when softener and detergent are low (if you use the automatic dispenser, which I recommend because ADHD), and FYIs for updates. Just enough to be helpful but not annoying. While the app is needed, you dont have to ‘use’ it to run the machine. The most annoying thing about it is not knowing what to call it? The washer isnt right, dryer either, combo sounds like the 90s snack… we’ve started to call it the laundry monster! It is NOT quiet where we have it, but we also dont have it in the base that came with it, so this is a very good reason that it might be so loud. It is HEAVY!! Have it delivered. Not kidding. You dont need a hose, no venting. Remove the back plate, we forgot and it was horrible!! Other then that, buy it if you have issues with forgetting laundry, are super busy and cant get to it quickly, or maybe missing a dryer electrical hook up or link exhaust. Even expensive, soooo worth it if you can find it in your budget!
