The quality of product is high, the convenience factor is tremendous, and the tech is logical. Only negative is the seemingly louder on and off sound of the water valves action during the wash cycle.

It’s ALMOST perfect and there are a few nitpicks but lets not waste your time. Overall the Pros by far outweigh the Cons. I operate a few rental units and THIS will be replacing all of my washer / dryer sets going forward. I literally just posted my Electrolux, Samsung and LG machines for sale on FB marketplace 10 minutes ago. I figured I’d write this review while it was fresh on my mind. I have been waiting for this appliance my entire life. I will never go back to using another stacked or side by side unit again. Here’s who this machine is for and who it’s not for… BUY THIS IF… You need to save space You are about to purchase a FULL SET (get this instead) You don’t want to run 220V electrical You want a cooler running laundry setup You want to save $$ on your power bill You like the idea of never having to leave the door open again to avoid a smelly washer DO NOT BUY THIS IF. You need to run multiple loads at the same time You currently have a full set and one machine has a problem (just fix it) You want a white machine (currently only comes in Gray) Pros: Ventless / ductless dryer Quiet Takes up less space Produces much less heat App messages are useful Controls are fantastic Great design / aesethetic Wi-Fi actually works (unlike LG and Samsung) The app connected on the first attempt. 110V is all you need! No 220v needed! All of the water drains out of the tub It’s easy to cancel a load (unlike LG) Has many flexible options Cons: Price should be lower The Lent trap is awkward to put back in To level the machine, the adjustable feet are a PAIN to adjust Heavy items only dry about 99.5%. Non issue but LOUDNESS Overall the machine noises are average. No issues but could be better. It is louder than my LG combo washer/dryer and louder than my Electrolux washer / dryer Water spraying into the tub is loud Spin Cycle is quiet Beeps & Noises The alerts from the machine are pleasant. The volume can be adjusted higher / lower. Much better than my very annoying LG that plays an entire song at the end of a cycle. The Washer Cleaning is excellent. I’m happy with the washing performance The Dryer Heavy towels come out about 99.8% dry. It’s not an issue, but it’s not as dry as my other dryers. That said, I have not needed to run the dryer twice after a load. There is room for improvement but I would still buy it again after having owned it.

In regard to items not drying thoroughly, note that clothing may feel a little damp after the cycle is done but with a quick shake, the items will feel dry in seconds. There's also a More Dry option should you want to use that as well. We take all suggestions and feedback seriously. The only thing is if you put too much clothes it wont fully dry them. But otherwise nothing bad to say. I love that the machine sends me a notification to my phone when its done and not having to change the washed clothes to a dryer is 10/10 for someone with a bussy life like mine

Geek squad was sent out, realized that the shipping bolts were not removed, and corrected it. The machine does what it’s suppose to do. I haven’t washed any bulky items, but …. So far …so good.

If it may be helpful, we do discuss what hardware should be removed on page 24 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. We recommend keeping your unit connected to Wi-Fi, software updates can optimize your combo's performance and address any potential drying issues. For additional information you can visit the article titled "GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Clothes Not Dry When Drying Cycle is Complete" on the GE Appliances website.
Regarding your unit leaking, check to see if the gasket is seated and not torn. Objects (nails, screws, pens, pencils) left in pockets and clothes trapped between the door glass and the gasket can cause damage to the Combo. Additionally, please keep in mind that water can drip from the door when the door is opened. Once the new unit was installed it was exactly what we wanted. It is a bit noisier than expected but it is very convenient not having to switch out laundry. I would recommend the unit for someone with them at its base. It’s a full-size washer and we’ve been able to run full batches without a problem.

Posted .Hi - We are deeply sorry to hear you had issues with your initial Profile UltraFast Combo. This is not the experience we wanted for you and apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience you may have felt. We are delighted the new unit is working well. The Combo has shipping bolts, brackets, and spacers that keep the wash basket secure during shipping. They are located in the rear, and need to be removed before using the appliance. These are the parts that need to be removed:
4 bolts, 4 plastic spacers (including power cord retainers and rubber grommets), 2 brackets and the screws fastening them to the Combo. For step by step instructions, your Owner's Manual is your best resource. If you prefer video instructions, our "Front Load Washer - Shipping Bolt Removal" video will take you through the steps. If the shipping materials were not removed as directed, the unit may operate at a higher sound level. We hope this is helpful. Kind regards - Vikki@GEA

We REALLY wanted this to be good. However, every time it would do anything with water, which it does many many times per wash cycle, when the water is cut off it would sound like a gun shot in the house (like a .22lr, not something crazy). It would do this 20-25+ times per wash (never actually counted, but it's a lot). So, Best Buy replaced it. We still had the problem. Best Buy offered to replace it again. The problem is still there. However, not wanting to believe three units could be bad in a row, I turned down the faucets very low. Like a quarter turn. Still sounded like a warzone. Then I installed water hammer arrestors and only had the faucets open a quarter turn. Still no glory. So, we finally gave up and will be returning this for a normal washer and dryer combo. There's definitely an engineering problem with these units and how they shut off water. Thank goodness for the incredibly awesome customer service of Best Buy for doing everything they could to remedy the situation.

It washes and it dries and it’s one unit. That alone had me sold but when I saw the smart features like auto adding detergent and fabric softener based on the load sensors I was blown away.

Laundry day has definitely changed in routine. Long gone are the days when you're too busy and forget to take your clothes out of the washing machine... Causing laundry to be rewashed...no more of that hassle. I would absolutely recommend this all in one!
