A Life Saver. No issues so far!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I moved to a tiny house with no laundry space or appliances. We were looking for a combo and also something that worked on 110 V. We found this Washer/Dryer combo and it has a great purchase so far (I am writing this review 2 months into the purchase). It works as promised. Laundry is done without any hiccups. Some people had issues with the laundry not being dry. I experienced that once due to how many towels and sheets I added to the machine. I just ran another dry cycle, and that was enough. You have to get used to the fact that one load will take at least 3 to 4 hours to get done, but on the bright side, you leave your laundry running, do your errands, or do another chore, and when you come back, your laundry is ready to fold and store. It was a lifesaver for us. The size is adequate for us (a couple with kids gone for college). I suggest you download the app. It keeps you updated on the time. Also, remember to clear lint after each wash (I always do). Since it is a "smart machine", it will remind you of that. Note: We purchased a machine that has been returned to the store, so it is not brand new. So far, there have been no issues except that I had to clean it well. The previous owner had pets, so pet hair was left on the rubber.

Very happy with "Alice"
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased to replace an LG washer/dryer that was around 15 years old. I specifically wanted something that used less overall less space and I was hoping to reduce my energy use since my old dryer was electric and did not always get things dry the first time Used in a 2 person household that has too many pets and gets clothing dirty doing farm chores. The machine has been great. I like that I can set it to run while I take care of other errands and come home to totally clean and dry clothing that does not need me to baby sit the machine. It washes and dries King Sized Sheets and it can also handle my King sized comforters if I fold them in quarters and then like an S before placing it in the machine by itself. I generally use the Eco Cool setting for all of my clothing and use the Towels for towels and jeans, and the bulky setting for bedding. My average load time is about 2 hours - 1 hour for wash, 1 hour for Dry. This might seem long, but when I had separate washer and dryer unit, the items could have to wait hours for me to come switch them over. So my overall time to have clean clothing is much reduced. I like the auto dispense for detergent. I have used persil at first, and just recently swapped to Method by adding 50 % water to the dispenser to water down the Method since it is ultra concentrated. I don't use fabric softener but I do use Lysol laundry sanitizer in the fabric softener dispenser set it the lowest amount and it works great. I clean the lint filter each wash, and the sponge filter probably ever 5-10 washes. The machine will remind you, but I find I clean it more often than the machine requests. I also use an attachment on my vacuum to clean out the lint cavity after removing the lint tray. I will say that has been my own annoyance with the machine, I feel that the lint filter still allows some lit to get through and onto the heatpump fins as well as lint seems to just hang out inside the cavity. I am thinking because of the moist air - it causes the lint to stick to the walls inside the cavity. I have a long tube for my vacuum I can use as well as an attachment that was made for cleaning under appliances and it works really well for getting into the lint cavity. My attached images show the attachment on the floor that I use, as well as a King Sized Microfiber Fleece Blanket for drum size example. I follow the instructions on the machine for when to run a drum clean. I have noted no smells or issues with the machine as far as "front load funk". I recommend the machine. I have not done a true test with a kil-o-watt type testing device, but I have noted that my electric bill has been reduced since owning this machine compared to my old washer and dryer. I also like that a dryer vent is not needed. I covered up the old hole to my dryer vent.

Let me set some expectations... but NEAR PERFECT!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, this thing is pretty stellar. I have some positives and some negatives, but the pros DEFINITELY outweigh the cons. Let me set some expectations... Pros: 1) First and foremost, this machine is CONVENIENT. Put dirty clothes in and clean clothes come out DRY?! Wild. My 10 year old Samsung W&D both completely failed within the span of a few days... I needed an excuse to buy this as I've been eyeing it ever since it's release. And here was my excuse! I was hoping for my current set to last until there was a single unit that could also fold, but I suppose this will suffice. Maybe in the next 25 years... 2) Efficiency! It is super energy efficient. It is a closed-loop heat pump system only needing a 120v outlet. Maximum wattage usage is about 550-600w, which is REMARKABLY low, especially compared to a standard electric set. So expect typical cycle usage of about 1.5kWh-ish. 3) No vent! It's an underrated feature, but it gives you the ability to truly put this anywhere (that has access to a 120v plug, hot and cold water, and a drain). It also lets you close an opening to your home, increasing your home air-tightness. Also, something less that needs to be cleaned! 4) App and overall interface... it's very simple to use and the display/LED ring is pleasing to the eye (I love me some RGB). The notifications are a life saver. It will also tell you when the lint screen/filter needs to be cleaned, which is great because I'm notorious for forgetting. If you don't clean this, your clothes WILL NOT DRY! 5) Microban protection... It's a GE exclusive feature (as far as I know) and I'm very much looking forward to reduced mold growth and hopefully less cleaning, especially compared to my Samsung. 6) Build quality... This thing is a TANK. You can tell that it is well built and sturdy, with high quality parts. I hope that it lasts for many years to come! Cons (not really "bad" per-se, just things to be aware of): 1) Weight... Piggybacking off of it being a TANK, this machine is HEAVY. Like, H.E.A.V.Y. You WILL hurt yourself if you try to move this by yourself. I consider myself pretty strong but I can barely scoot this thing by myself. Good luck moving it post-install if you need to... 2) Drum size... So it's technically bigger than my previous washer @ 4 cu ft. 4.8 isn't small! BUT considering this is a dryer as well, it is a bit small. Clothes fluff up as they dry and ideally, in order to prevent wrinkles, you need extra space. A typical dryer is now 6 to 9 cu ft. BIG difference. This is mostly a non-issue for me, as I prefer to do smaller loads anyways. I never fill the drum up more than halfway unless it's a large blanket or towels. If you do either of those, expect cycles of over 2.5 to 3 hours. It WILL do it, just will take more time. I also use and recommend using the "More Dry" function. 3) Time it takes to complete a load... again, non-issue for me, but don't expect 2 hours on the dot for every load. It is DEFINITELY longer than a typical W&D set. But you also have to remember that you're saving a wild amount of energy, and you don't have to switch machines. The convenience factor greatly outweighs this in my personal opinion. Ideally, and if I could afford it, I'd have two of these. But honestly, only having one is fine for the majority of scenarios. 4) Price... yes, this is expensive, even compared to a top of the line W&D separate set. Sometimes you can get a decent price during a sale. However, the premium is justified in my opinion, especially to be at the cutting edge of tech. 5) Lack of color options... (a nitpick, I know). But it would be nice to have more options. This "Carbon Graphite" color works well for me, but may not for someone else. 6) Dryness... items come out 99% dry (typically when using sensor dry). Another non-issue for me, because once you pull them out and give them a shake, they're dry. No reason to use more energy! TL;DR: It's amazing and I'll never go back to a traditional system.

Convenient. Space saving. Long dry times
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had this about two months now. Overall very happy with it. But if my five kids still lived with us, it wouldn’t be a good fit. The convenience of not having to switch laundry is awesome. But for someone like me, if you like to have a load washing while one is drying because of a large amount of laundry… not a good fit. The laundry does take several cycles to dry. But because it is heat pump it is still an energy saver. I like the notifications I get in my phone when it is done with the wash cycle so I can throw in a dryer sheet. It’s very quiet. Really cool looking. I like the automatic dispensers. Another con though is getting all the lint out of the inside where the lint trap is because I don’t have a skinny enough vacuum attachment. Other con is I can’t just throw a shirt in real quick to dewrinkle. The dewrinkle setting is a steam setting so the clothes get damp. Not good when in a hurry.

Stinky, damp, & a hard to clean lint trap, :-(
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use to have stacked washer/dryer so when they died, due to space I decided to get this GE Profile washer/dryer combo. I have had it for over 5 months and I am NOT loving it. Pros: - It fits perfectly in my space - Looks cool - I think it does clean my clothes Cons: - Takes a long time- and I always have to add additional timed dry after I wash as everything feels way too damp - And because of the dampness, I feel like it smells. The unit smells damp and I try to keep the door cracked (although my dogs often close it but even when cracked it still stinks - The lint trap- this is one of my biggest pet peeves- I am use to lint traps that you just take your hand and in one swift stroke get all the lint off BUT this one is so large with all these little squares and since it is always damp- it is a pain to clean. - In addition to the lint trap there is other maintenance, cleaning you have to do (which my old unit didnt have) - Also- small loads work best- when I put more in it, it shakes bad when it gets to the drying and can be very loud clanking, I added pool noodles to the sides of the machine and the wall and it works better. Overall- I would not recommend it.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We would like to provide some troubleshooting tips. Please make sure that your Combo's software is up-to date. Software updates can optimize your Combo's performance and address any potential drying issues. Check to make sure that your pump filter is not clogged. Information on how to do that can be found on page 21 in your use and care manual. Lastly, make sure that the drain hose is not kinked, improperly connected to the washer, or having issues at the standpipe. If this isn't helpful, have one of our Bodewell technicians assess. Skeptical at first but it actually works
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m actually shocked how well it works. No need for a 220V plug or a dryer vent hose. No need to keep large bottles of detergent around. No need to worry if you forgot to switch the laundry over. The clothes have come out warm and dry every time. It is pretty quiet. It is fairly heavy at around 350lbs but install is very easy. You have to remove some bolts and a back plate and hook up the water and discharge pipe. Fair warning the top does gets a bit warm so I wouldn’t recommend putting anything above it. The app is pretty nice as you can see if your detergents are low or not and you can download new settings but you cannot remotely start it. All in all is a great unit and we’ve been able to add a ton of storage to the side of the unit where our previous washer and dryer were.

Noisy, had to clean lint trap, took forever to dry
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's perfect size for my limited space as I did not want stack and prefer ventless system. However, because of ventless it took forever to finish a load. A load of queen sheet, 4 pillow cases took almost two hours with Quick cycle that estimated 1 hr 7 mins. The time kept slipping. 1 min on the app screen went for 15 mins. I hate the system like this and used a few times in Europe/ Asia. I thought this one would have huge improve and close to the cycle time it claims. If you want to throw in and collect hours later this would work. I almost kept it but then it did not dry well, always wrinkles; noisy and making banging noises at washing cycle. I ordered when they had promotion with free pedestal which did not work well at all. Huge vibration at some spinning cycle (high speed). Lint trap is a slot and lint collects inside which will require vacuum and harder to clean than regular dryer. The delivery team came back and refused to adjust as they said many customers had the same problem and should take the pedetal off which required another work order/ team to do. So I decided to return because I don't think it's worth $27xx ($24xx plus installation, taxes). GE don't tell to update to the latest software version. I did and I did not see any relevant to the problems here rather than the hardware.

Excellent Washer Dryer Combo
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent machine. I bought it the beginning of January, and it’s been a great machine. The smart features are well thought out and the app is intuitive. One of the best features is the pet hair function. Before washing the machine will pull out a lot of the dog or cat hair off the items before going into its wash cycle, super great. The laundered items come out looking and feeling, and smelling very clean. Much better than my old top load Samsung set I had for 6 years. Since this is my first rodeo with a washer/dryer combo machine I’ve been very diligent with the upkeep. I clean the lint filter and trap area after each cycle to avoid build up on the coils. I also wipe down the gasket after each cycle. It’s a little overkill, but I just want to make sure I’m doing what is needed to keep this thing operating at optimal performance. It is nice to have more space in my laundry room because of it’s all in one and closed system design. I also think that machine looks great, very nice appearance. Now, all that said, a couple criticisms. It is very important to load this machine as instructed in its documentation. It will not do well with being packed to the gills, nor will work great if it’s under loaded with a couple items that can cause an imbalance during the spin cycle. I have had the machine be unable to fully do the spin a couple of times since January due to improper loading. The other thing is the heat pump can get loud. If it’s cranking up the heat to dry heavy damp items it does start to get noisy. Overall, a great machine. It’s well worth the money. It washes and drys very well and everything comes out nice and fresh. It’s an attractive design and space saving. I would recommend this appliance for anyone looking to get a streamlined washer dryer system. Easy to use, great features, and space saving. Very well built and looks great.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is doing a great job so far. Was disappointed that when they came to deliver it, they said that I had to buy a $35 set of hoses because they weren't included. Kind of no choice if I wanted the unit. So hidden fee there... buyer beware. The unit is however attractive, quiet, and large... make sure to measure first, especially height. Washed and dried the first loads well. Freed up lots of extra space where the dryer used to be. Definitely changes laundry and hope that this catches on. Wonderful unit. The one missing star is for the no hoses. Have bought washers and dryers from Best Buy before. Looked at the past receipts and no additional fees.

Wonderful machine worth the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our old dryer and washer machines broke about a month ago. Washer would leak and dryer has problems with power and venting to the outside. We were hesitant about looking for a new set of machines because of pricing. After all, you always get what you pay for. We found this machine while browsing and after researching and finding that it could use a standard outlet and didn't have to be vented outside, we loved it. The pros: -Quiet -Only uses 1 standard 3 prong outlet -Smart home compatible so I always know when it's done and I can tell Alexa to start it. -always leaves clothing and bedding dry and warm -super easy to keep filters clean Cons: -heavy, this unit weighs a lot so if you move it you need 2 people mostly for safety -drum size. This isn't really a con but I recommend always leaving room in the drum so the laundry can actually tumble. If you pack it full then you run the risk of some clothes still being a bit damp afterwards. All in all, you can't really go wrong with this unit. It has everything in one super easy package and it has a decent warranty in case of a failure. The machine even tells you if you haven't cleaned your filters by warning you on the touchscreen that the dryer filter needs to be emptied. It's practically dummy proof. 10/10 I highly recommend this machine.

Great for people who have ADHD
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing. It’s not really in our budget but my pros outweighed the cons. I have adhd and often forget my laundry in the washing machine. Having to wash them 2–3x. Then, my old dryer was lacking. It would take over 4 hours for me to clean our clothes and if we wanna be technical days because I’d forget and have to rewash. Not anymore. I put our clothes in, it washes and dries them. When I go to the dryer, they’re clean. I do stuff it as full as I’m able to. I also use the extra spin on it. I’ve only had a balancing problem, one time, due to putting 4 pairs of 2xl sized jeans in there with our other clothes on top. I love that I just put them in and my phone will remind me about the clothes in the dryer, too! We use the “more water” and “more dry”. I can still do about 3-4 loads a day, if I need to. This has caught me up to a small load, put in at night, and take them out in the morning. We have a family of 5. (3 adults and 2 stinky boys,9&7) I read other reviews about them coming out “wet”. They do feel “damp” when you take them out. But if you were to shake it in the air, it would be dry. I remember reading in the instructions that it’s like a steam heat. So, we haven’t had any issues drying things besides the 4 pairs of jeans (with regular clothes too) I’ve washed all our linen in it. I can wash 2 twin size sheet set/blankets. I could even wash our king sheets and blanket if I wanted to but I would separate them. I use the more water because we use gain and it was leaving a yellow stain on them. But the more water fixed that. It’ll alert me when I need to add more detergent, I can even connect it to Amazon and it will order it, itself. I honestly can’t say enough nice things about this. Like I said. ADHD. It’s been such a game changer. Our clothes always smell nice. I didn’t realize we smelled bad until I had the new ones and my old ones in front of me. My husband and his brother live here and they make dog food. You’d never even know. I also like that there’s hardly ever lint but you do get a message to change it, every cycle and there’s no way to turn it off because it’s ventless. I’ve now used every setting and every cycle. Now, if there’s anything that I don’t fully like, it’s the app. It is kinda confusing. You can’t turn it on from it and you can’t really mess with the settings on it. But you can select the detergent amounts, it alerts about the filter, it tells you how many cycles you’ve done and how many you’ve done per day. It’ll tell you how much detergent is left and when you need to fill it. You can turn on more drying time from it. See how much time is left. My favorite function is it telling me there are 5 minutes left. When it’s finished. How long the load has been in there. Now, if only it would fold them. It’d be even more perfect. We also got the pedestal. I hate doing laundry but this has seriously helped tremendously. No more “I forgot to dry them”. I’d get another if I could afford it.

Game Changer of the Century! Seriously.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve bought ALOT of stuff from Best Buy and not a big reviewer but felt compelled to write one because of how cool this is. Had it delivered yesterday its one of the coolest inventions Ive ever seen. I have done 8 loads now and let me tell you, it works! Flawlessly! I have no idea how, especially since it has no vent and 110v power corrd instaed of the huge 220v, but it works! We seriously want to buy 3, one for each level of the house. And we can as you only need water and a 110v. Amazing. Capacity is huge and holds gigantic loads, app hook up a breeze, looks and fit and finish is top notch. The only feedback I would give to GE is to include a drain extension. The reason is I could see a lot of people buying two of these and the current drain hose won’t stretch across to cover for this. The installers said they can’t add one and it’s not covered. So if you buy two, only one will be installed. This would be great if it came as a standard item so you wouldn’t have to track down a drainage pipe in addition, and a touch screen would be nice instead of the current one. Small small small suggestions as overall you completely aced this product and design.

Laundry Day Will Become A Relic Of The Past
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never written a review for an appliance before, but I felt compelled to write one for this. First, buying this is not buying something that is a compromise in any way. Having a heat pump dryer is HUGE! You'll no longer take your air conditioned house air that you just cooled, and then heat that air to boil the water out of your clothes, and then send that air outside. This is a closed loop. The heat pump will heat air, cycle the air into the drum, and then run it through a heat exchanger to lower the temperature and remove the moisture, and then repeat the cycle. It is much more energy efficient, and this is not new technology. Heat pumps have been around since the 1990's. Imagine a world where you can start a load in the washer, and go to the park, or on a bike ride, or a hike, or to the grocery store, or go to the mall, or to a movie and when you get home your clothes are done drying. Imagine a world where you start a load in the washer when you go to bed, and when you wake up the laundry is dry. Imagine a world where you put laundry in before you go to work, and either through a timer on the machine, or through the app on your phone your laundry starts so that it is just finishing drying when you get home. But most of all imagine a world where you don't have to devote an entire day to laundry.

GE Washer Dryer combo
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This GE washer/dryer combo is amazing. We love it because it takes aways from all of the extra work from taking out of washer to dryer. The times it take to wash and dry doesn't take any longer than a normal wash and dry cycle... except you put it in and forget it. You can even download it to your phone and add to WIFI to control it frim your phone, Alexa or Goggle. The extra plus is it will give you extra space in your washroom.

Great Buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only had it for a few weeks and we love it. It’s quieter than others we have had. It’s works great, the app that works with the machine is easy to use. We are a little tech savvy so to some that aren’t it might take a little getting use to. I love the fact you just add a bunch of detergent, bleach, and fabric softener and use the app to set what you are washing and what to use. The dryer does good it could be better some items like my husband khaki dress pants come out wrinkly but they are dry, it’s really nice to be able to save space in the laundry room as well and have more storage

Great for low volume laundry!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great machine for my wife and I as we get closer to retirement and the kids are gone. It's nice to put a load in and its all done at the end, no flipping. Things will be more humid with drying as a result of it being ventless - this is normal, open the door and let some humidity out before folding. We have such a small space for our laundry that this unit actually gave us more storage space. This machine would not be appropriate for a large household doing tons of laundry.

My wife calls it Magical!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have to admit we were skeptical. Anytime you mention combo unit everyone rolls their eyes us included. But we needed something that didn't need a vent and would run on 110V. So I watched a few online video reviews, read as many reviews as I could and it seemed that if there was going to be a combo that would meet our needs this stood a chance. So bit the bullet and ordered one. Took about 20 minuets to install and the machine was up and running. Well, it's freaking amazing. Works as well as most regular washer and dryers. Takes a big load, and dries everything perfectly. Average time for a big load is just over 2 hours. Bit longer for towels. But it works! Could not be happier. Yay GE you did a great job on this one. Game changer.

Obsessed
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing technology! I love so many things about this machine. First, it has a self-dispensing soap and softener area that can hold an entire bottle of both and this convenience is unmatched! The obvious perk of this machine is you don’t have to move your laundry at all. I read and watched many reviews before purchasing and most of the “negatives” were long drying times and clothes not getting all the way dry. I honestly haven’t had issues with either of these. I do set the dryer to the “more dry” setting and typically do an additional 15 mins to de-wrinkle if I am not able to get the clothes immediately so maybe this is the winning combo! There was a little bit of a learning curve as I accidentally restarted a load or two when it was minutes away from being done drying which was frustrating but once you make that mistake you look more carefully before hitting start and problem solved. Highly recommend so far!

So far so great!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this unit about. Month ago and are really loving it. The clothes do indeed come out very clean and dry and the app is easy to use. My only criticisms are that you can’t pair the unit to more than one phone. As an appliance used by the whole family this seems short sighted. The second is that the lint trap is a little clumsy. It tends to drop out fuzz when removed. But both of those are minor issues. In fact after we used the machine for 2 weeks we bought a second one! Now we can do all the laundry for a family of 4 in only 6-8 hours. Now it’s obviously a new concept so longevity will be a question mark for a while but I can say that so far we’ve loved it!
