Amazing Product

But Best Buy made it right and delivered us a second unit right away and this unit has been a dream. It is what is advertised. Very pleased!

There's an article on our website that can help check on that, it's titled: GE PROFILE™ ULTRAFAST COMBO WASHER/DRYER - FINDING THE SOFTWARE VERSION ID. You can find that by clicking on the Support tab. We also have troubleshooting tips in the manual that may be helpful; you can view the manual on our website via the unit's product page. If you’re not able to solve this drying issue and think service may be needed, that department is available at 1-800-432-2737.

Clothes are left clean and you don't have to keep an eye on them.

Only thing I dont like is that if its a heavy load (towels, bedding sweats etc) it take 1+ hour to dry. Has a quick cycle option at 1h 10m if you want your clothes washed and dried so thats a plus but only if its a small load. Overall its worth looking into if you dont have the space for 2 seperate machines.

Do not purchase this machine just to save space. It is not made for multiple person households or families with pets. It does not dry properly. It constantly has lint build up. The control board randomly changes buttons and beeps for no reason.

I’m one of those persons that never transfer clean laundry to the dryer in a timely way. This makes my life so much easier. I love that I don’t need to worry about the detergent or softener.

The problem is that GE didn’t properly design this one. The lint filtration system is horrible. The filter is very loose-fitting and it allows lint to bypass and clog the fins in the heat pump. GE it’s well aware of the problem, yet they have no “fix” for it. Check YouTube for videos describing this problem. It is a problem for every combo made. I contacted customer service. They said they would pass it on to Product and Design. That doesn’t help me. I asked if I could contact P and D. They said, “No.” All I wanted to ask was were they working on a fix. Seems that they aren’t. They expect each owner to call out a service tech once a year to clean the fins on the heat pump. Who does this? Certainly not LG or Samsung. This may be a good system one day, but not today. Do your research and buy from another company.

Posted .We'd like to provide clarification on lint bypassing the filter in the Ultrafast Combo. Lint bypassing the filter is normal and the unit does not require a technician to clean the fins once a year. Our combo was robustly designed to be fully capable of handling any lint that may make its way past the lint filter and accumulate on surfaces within the filter compartment while still operating with high efficiency. We recommend periodic, gentle cleaning of the filter compartment using a vacuum with a slim crevice tool attachment or with our Appliance Brush Set (part number PM14X10056). The combo provides notifications via the unit’s control panel when cleaning of the lint or foam filter is required. Typically, notification for the lint filter occurs every 5 cycles and notification for the foam filter occurs every 50 cycles. For additional help, please review the tips in the article titled "GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Advanced Cleaning of Lint Filter Compartment" on our GE Appliances website. Because of the tech-forward design of our combo, simply following the regular maintenance and maintenance intervals described in the Owner’s Manual will keep your unit running strong for years to come!
Wonderful functional combo

My parents use it primarily and they couldn’t be happier with it. The auto detergent dispenser and the easy-to-clean lint filter add to its appeal. The clothes come out dry, not damp. While the filter design isn't perfect, I found a hack on YouTube that makes it fit much more snugly, and it’s worked out great. I highly recommend this for anyone in the market for a combo washer-dryer.

Constant issues, drain pump goes, causes flooding, doesn’t drain, clothes take forever to wash and dry! Had this machine a little over a year and has been the worst experience ever!

No more forgetting cloths in the washer and having to rewash. We got rid of the dryer and made shelves. Uses 120v so uses less electricity. We love it

Energy costs are lower at night. I am also using so much less detergent because it is only using what it needs based on the size of the load. I love, love, love this machine!
