Cool concept but cold clothes

Washer Works GREAT!

Especially since the purchase was an open box special. However, the dryer function did not work from delivery. We did put the washer through its paces while waiting a week for the technician to troubleshoot the dryer function. Washer works GREAT (hence the 3 of 5 score). Tech says dryer main control board faulty. He ordered a new one with an estimated delivery of two weeks.

We have 3 kids under 10 and that means a lot of laundry. Not having to worry about flipping loads from washer to dryer is so nice and it gets around the needing to run the same load twice in the washer because you forgot about the wet load and it gets stinky. This machine does have a learning curve because it's not a two machine setup, but it is such a time saver!

At time it is a little noisy when it is sensing the load. I like that I can leave it and when it's done everything is washed and dried. Granted the clothes feel damp but once out and folding the they are dry. I have not used my phone WiFi connection as I don't feel like I need it. If I had a large family I would recommened 2

Then washed large bedding and it worked well. Then My kids started washing mixed type of clothing and it also dried them well. But I did tell them to not overload the unit. So I am very satisfied with this COMBO machine. Also love the app that tells me when my clothes are done and the fluid levels (detergent/softener) are getting low. I LOVE IT !!!

I have been wanting something like this for a very long time! GE knocked it out of the park with this one!! Notifications and controls via phone WiFi etc are awesome! I can control certain features when I am not home. Smart dispenser is perfect! Saves me space functions perfectly! The inside smells amazing! GE THANK YOU!!!

Posted .Thrilled to hear you find the Combo utilizes the space you have available. For the drying issue, we'd recommend making sure your software is up to date. There's an article on our website that can help check on that, it's titled: GE PROFILE™ ULTRAFAST COMBO WASHER/DRYER - FINDING THE SOFTWARE VERSION ID. You can find that by clicking on the Support tab. We also have troubleshooting tips in the manual that may be helpful; you can view the manual on our website via the unit's product page. If you’re not able to solve this drying issue and think service may be needed, that department is available at 1-800-432-2737.
Crap of a design

From day one this machine has not given me one load of clothes without me having to re run it in dryer mode again no matter the size of the load I put in it . It takes 4 to 5 hours to wash and dry one load and still have to hang them on A close line to get dry . Iv fallowed the steps to clean out the lint hole , that by the way is a very ignorant idea to put it in the back on the machine with very slim access to the hole that I’m asked to put a vacuum hose into when it’s clogged . This machine is a good idea with a very bad design. I will most likely be reporting this on the bbb site and others

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit almost 12 months ago and wanted to use it for awhile before I gave my opinion. I love the idea of an all-in-one. It worked great for several months until it didnt. The clothes were not drying properly and it took two to three extra dry cycles before the clothes would dry. We had to call GE for repairs (still under the manufacturer warranty). Because of our location, they use third party repair services. Our experiences with repair companies and GE customer service has been underwhelming. It took a little over a month to get our heating issue diagnosed and part replaced. Not two months later, our clothes are back to not drying peoperly (it does not matter the size of the load). We have had the repairman that GE sent out twice now to “fix” our issue and it has yet to be resolved. With our one year warranty expiring, maybe we will have better luck with Geek Squad fixing our issue.
