    When in the washing cycle this thing shakes so much that the rooms next to it rattle. It’s 300 pounds and it actually has moved from the original placement.

      You will see the Combo shake and hear it, but this is a normal part of the balancing system.     Worst design ever.

    This product is the worst product on the market all of the sensors went bad within 5 months of purchase. Tech said sensors are on back order so basically dryer part doesn’t work. GE will not replace entire unit.

    I had the machine for two weeks. I do one laod a day. The display stopped working/broke and I’ve been using the laundromat for a week while I wait for new parts for a new machine.

    Love the idea of what it should do, but unfortunately, something is missing. Does not dry the clothes good enough.

      We understand an issue with drying performance would be concerning, and we want to help. Our Combo uses ventless heat pump technology; because of the design, it would be normal for clothes to feel slightly damp after the cycle is complete. If you pull the clothes out and give them a quick shake, your laundry will feel dry in a few seconds! If the clothes still seem too damp, we recommend making sure the software is up to date. Updates can often resolve an issue, and we have instructions available for checking the software in an article on our GE Appliances website titled “GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo Washer/Dryer - Finding the Software Version ID"; you can view that when you search for the title and click the ‘Support’ tab. Additional troubleshooting tips are available in the manual, which you can view on our website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you aren’t able to resolve this and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 833-426-3393. GE_Appliances

    wash machine doesn't dry clothes don't buy have had repair man out 2 times and he said a lot of people are having the same issue

    Do not buy open box! All open box units are broken and geeks quad is unable to fix them.

    I tried two of these machines and both were lemons. Shaking was severe and one was extremely loud. I loved the concept of one machine but unacceptable performances.

    I have yet to receive this washer/dryer. Best Buy keeps postponing my delivery date just one day before it’s to deliver.

    Very good but not great

    Pros: There is no static when taking the clothes out of the dryer. No more worries about having to leave the house with a load in the machine. The delayed start option is also very helpful. The filter is very easy to clean – however, I recommend cleaning it after EVERY load as it does fill up quikly and there are lint “bunnies” all around the outside of the filter. (Gotta protect that heat pump). I also use a small, soft brush to clean the interior of the machine where the filter sits to remove bits of lint in there. Also occasionally use an extended crevace tool to vacuum in there. It’s very quiet and my laundry closet now has so much more space. Cons: The alarm sound letting you know that the machine cycle is completed is quick and not very loud. I would prefer if it was a bit longer so that it would be easier to hear. Hopefuly this can be adjusted with a software update. This is my first front loading machine, so I don’t know if my “problems” are the same for all front loaders, or just this machine. The wells on the top drawer that hold the bleach and fabric softener, always have SOME water in them after every load. I have a cloth to absorb it all as well as I can since I don’t want mold to grow in there overtime. There are times, however, when the bleach well is completely full of water. This is harder to empty out when you have the ‘Smart Dispense’ laundry detergent compartment filled with detergent. I remove the tray and bring it to the sink to tip towards the back and drain as much water as I can (this will also leak some of the detergent). The residual water can be absorbed with a cloth. Every time the door is opened it seems like there is always water dripping from the left side. This seems to be coming from the water left in the bleach/fabric softener wells. If you empty them out, the dripping stops. The blue silicone around the opening needs to be cleaned after each load – lint and hair seems to collect there. I have also noticed some lint buildup around the door opening – the narrow section between the edge of the blue silicon and the metal drum. I found a damp Q-Tip to fit in comfortably and will remove the lint. This is a tedious task, so I will probably only do it monthly. The machine was leveled by the installers, but at one point of the wash cycle, there is a lot of vibrations. Enough that items stored on my shelves above the machine fall off. My machine is also up on my second floor above the kitchen. The vibrations also had my glasses moving around in the cupboards. I had one glass fall out on me when opening the cupboard door, so I had to install a brace in my cupboards to prevent this from happeining again. There’s a lot of maintenance after a load of laundry is done, but I do like having the ability to leave it for 2-3 hours and come back to a completed load. Overall, I am happy with the machine and am hopeful that software updates will eventually fix the issues.

    Door Is NOT reversible

    This door is not reversible, which is ridiculous for a high-priced machine. A reversible door is a required option on any front-loading machine.

The reason the door cannot be reversed is because the interior glass of the door is shaped differently than our existing UltraFresh Front Loading products. The new curved shape accommodates and directs the incoming airflow to manage the drying of the load. We hope this is informative and want to thank you for your insight.       We understand an issue with excessive noise and vibration would be concerning, and we want to assist. To address an issue with excessive vibration, we recommend making sure the Combo is balanced (the leveling legs can be adjusted if needed) and the pump filter isn’t clogged. More troubleshooting tips are available on page 28 of the manual, which you can view on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. Checking the shipping hardware to ensure it’s been properly removed is also recommend (and is discussed on page 24), as not removing that hardware can cause the Combo to become unbalanced. If you continue to have trouble with excessive vibration and noise and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 1-800-432-2737. Your feedback regarding the design will also be shared with our team for consideration. GE_Appliances

    Game changer

    This combo is incredible! We have had it almost a month and are very happy with it. Not having to do load transfer is a game changer. Also the heat pump ventless option is great. We no longer have to pay someone every year to clean our vent pipe. One thing we were concerned about before purchasing was noise, but the wash cycle is no more noisy than a large front load washer. For the dry cycle, I measured 60 dB, when placing my phone near the front. So noise is not an issue for washing nor drying. A couple things that might be nice in a future version: 1) Sensors to know if one has removed the lint filter and corresponding software change to not prompt one for lint filter cleaning if it has been removed. We clean the filter after every load, because some loads generate a lot of lint. 2). The SmartHQ app gives information on how many loads are done each day. It would be nice if it could also give us information on how many kWh of electricity it uses per day, which our heat pump water heater provides. In addition to also provide how many gallons of water used. I am not sure if this would just be a software update or require additional sensors.

    Great combo, compact and effective

    Was worried about a ventless and combination machine, but it works well! Same capacity as our previous washer and dryer, slimmer machine. Average noise level, unremarkable in that regard. The automatic detergent dispenser is super convenient!
