It does a good job washing and has some great features. The drying isn't the best, the majority of the cloths are dry but I'm finding that the cotton t-shirts are pretty damp still.
Also, if you didn't buy the pedestal its not easy to clean the pump clean out.
To start out, I had set up for delivery for specific day and was off work for the delivery which was suppose to be between (I think) 1 to 5. I ended up getting a call at 12 that they wouldn't be there and re-scheduled me for almost 2 weeks later. I had already taken my old washer and dryer out and I no longer had them. When I went to the store to find out what was going on, the manager told the associate that they fly their guys in (from out of town) that do the set up, and they did not fly in that day.... HMMM, interesting because the guys that set it up (below about setting up) were from town... so I was lied to. ( NOT HAPPY ON BEING LIED TO!!) So now, I had to take another day off work, and take my cloths elsewhere to wash/dry them.
I had it delivered and paid for set up, however I would give the Best Buy delivery guys a MINUS -10 !! Best Buy contracts out there delivery and apparently they don't train them and let anybody just do it. First, taking it out of the box they tilted it back on the back side, and it is suppose to be tilted to the side to get the bottom of the box off (hopefully I don't have issues later on because of this). 2nd, they brought it in, and didn't hook it up right. Nothing was done correct and I ended up fixing their mess up. Just one example is they shoved water drain hose all the way down, didn't un-hook it from the back of the machine completely.
They left the metal brackets that were on the back for packing on and were to be taken off. This is just a couple examples.

No complaints, this thing runs great and it is so convenient. Only had for about a month so jury still out on longevity. Also, make sure to read the manual....you do learn alot. It is very heavy so make sure when you place this thing, its in its final position.

This fit perfectly in our laundry area. Leaving space for additional storage was the plan. It has a balancing issue with us being in a mobile home set up like a pier and beam structure. When the Spin Cycles we going, the home vibrated a lot... If we were on a concrete slab, this probably would not have been an issue. We really like this otherwise.

I hesitantly splurged on this a little over a year ago (primarily because my ancient washer finally gave out, I only have space for a stacking set and *need* room on top for storage, and apparently all modern stacking sets are several inches taller for the same load capacity as my old set).
I was worried it wouldn't live up to its promises, but I've had zero issues in the 15 months since buying this, it's made doing laundry more convenient, AND I have room in my tiny laundry closet for shelving!!

Fantastic product. Quiet, easy, and time saving. Throw your laundry into the machine and take out when cleaned. Wifi hook up alerts you on your phone and or watch what cycle is occurring. No need to take your clothes out of washing machine and throw into your dryer.

I am very sad to write this, Please take your time to better research. I wanted this machine for a very long time, it was the perfect match for my space, I have it for 6 months now and I absoblutly REGRET this purchase, total WASTE of money, Now I HATE doing laundry. its large capacity but will NOT handle large loads, can not handle multiple towels, can NOT handle fluffy blnakets or ropes, Will take up to 6 hours of work trying to dry for you to realize is soaked in hot water, and what about the clever drying filter? well that is so much work, cleaning that is very hard, I bought a special attachemtn for my dyson to collect the lint, and still a total hassle/failure, got some unaccesible lint that collects moisture and is not reachable, very concern about MOLD, the light loads that can handle will come out very wrinkle, even with the fancy dewrinkle feature that takes over 30min, I sure wish I can GET MY MONEY BACK.
We truly apologize for the experience you're having with the Combo. To ensure the best performance, please make sure the software is up to date using the SmartHQ app. If this doesn't prove helpful, we recommend scheduling a service appointment for one of our qualified technicians to assess your unit. You can schedule an appointment by calling us at: 1-800-432-2737.

I have had the all in one for a few months now and it works great. I love not having to switch clothes out from a washer to a dryer. The one downside is when I wash my queen size casaluna comforter it won’t fully dry. I’ve even tried adding a second drying cycle and it barely makes a difference.
We're thrilled to hear how pleased you are with your wonderful Profile UltraFast Combo. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to connect the Combo to your WiFi and our SmartHQ app. Doing so, will provide us the chance to provide over-the-air updates which may not only improve performance, but it may also allow for the addition of great new features. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or concerns.

A great washer/dryer. You just put your stuff in, press a few buttons, and come back in about three to four hours to clean clothes. Yes, it takes longer than a separate washer and dryer, but for that you have to be there to take the clothes out of the washer and put them in the dryer. If that takes you a couple of hours to get around to, then this is much faster. The water and electricity savings are also a great bonus.
The biggest inconvenience is that this is deeper than a standard washer or dryer, and the door hinge is on the left side and cannot be changed. We put this in my laundry room, and it cannot set on the left side because the room door hits this unit, so it sits on the right. But the hinge is on the left, so the door gets in the way when trying to load or unload it. Other GE frontloaders allow you to switch the hinge, so it is annoying that this one can't.
Hey there! We are thrilled to hear that you're enjoying your new UltraFast Combo unit. We can understand how not being able to reverse the door is something that will take getting used to, but there is a reason for this. This unit is more efficient compared to your previous sets due to our High-Airflow Ventless Drying System. This system recirculates the air in the unit, and the door design helps the air flow through the tub during your drying cycle and promotes proper drying. You can read more about this in an article on our GE Appliances website titled "GE Profile™ UltraFast Combo with Ventless Heat Pump Technology Washer/Dryer" under the support tab. If you have any questions about our amazing Combo unit, please reach out. Wishing you the best! Julia@GEAppliances

I followed this machine from the very beginning, waited until all the bugs were worked out, and then I purchased it after waiting patiently. Apparently not patient enough. I purchased 4 months ago and have had to have a repair tech out twice already.
The ventless heat pump really is a problem. Despite how well you clean it and maintain it - you're going to have problems and your machine is going to stop working. There is an access panel on the front at the bottom. This is where the drain is, where all the hair, dust, random stuff you forgot to take out of your pockets, all that stuff goes. When you open it to clean out the blockage and get disgusting water all over the floor in the process, you have to pull whatever is in there out and then hope that did the trick.
It doesn't work all the time.
The dryer doesn't dry even small loads on the highest heat and the "more dry" setting. Your clothes will consistently come out slightly damp. If that's what you prefer then more power to you. Personally, I like wearing dry clothes.
This is a MASSIVE space saver in the laundry room. I absolutely love that aspect. The machine itself is massive and heavy but for what it takes up in size, it creates in space by not having two machines. One of my biggest selling points.
The app is quite functional. It will remind you that you've left your load of laundry (again) after an hour and then you can set it to automatically tumble your clothes so they don't get wrinkled and gross. SO helpful. The downloadable settings for various types of loads are great as well and if connected to WiFi, the machine will automatically receive and download any updates.
The detergent and softener tanks are quite large and will automatically dispense a preset amount (which can be turned on/off per load) leaving your laundry days as simple as literally "throwing in a load" and walking away. You can even set the type/brand of detergent/softener you use in the app.
The filter is easy to clean. Quick rinse under water and you're good to go. It tells you when it needs to be cleaned. The machine as a whole, really is fool proof.
Not great if you have pets (or children) because the inner ring collects literally everything. Pretty sure I found my neighbor's dog in there once. And it's quite difficult to clean. I haven't had any issues with mold/mildew, but any hair that is caught in there, stays there until it turns to sand essentially, getting on everything.
Overall, I really want to love this machine. And I do, I just wish it worked reliably. Instead, I've spent a few grand on a machine, just to go to the laundromat every couple months instead.
We appreciate your thorough review and will be sharing this with our team. We really want you to love your combo. The most up to date software version is 45.0.5.234, please confirm that is what you have. It isn't uncommon for your clothes to feel slightly damp at first because of the sealed drum, but when you pull them out and give them a quick shake, they’ll feel dry. If you continue to have issues, please reach out to us via a private message on GE Appliances social media like Facebook or X and include a copy of this review, your model and serial number, address, email and phone number.

Excellent machine. So much easier to have all in one washer and dryer. No transferring of load! Also the automatic loading of detergent is amazing.
The drying does take a slight amount but i feel the drying does great job.

We are thrilled with our new washer and dryer combination unit. The convenience of doing laundry has turned into a pleasurable experience. Using the app to control every aspect of the washing process is truly incredible.

We’ve had our combo washer dryer now for a couple of months. It has been nice to put your clothes in and forget about them. The downside is the drying time takes a lot longer than expected. I always select the extra drying time and still have to go back and add more time after the cycle is complete to get everything actually dried. The concept is terrific but the technology is not quite there yet.
If you have not already done so, we encourage you to make sure the Combo is connected to your WiFi using our SmartHQ app. The app will let you know if an over-the-air update is available. That may be just what you need to improve the dry performance.

We enjoy this combo washer and dryer. The big issue is the lint trap.

The item was ok. Too much maintenance and care to keep from having a mildew smell. Dry time takes forever and still have to restart it. Used item . Returned due to smell
We are sorry to hear that you returned your Ultrafast Combo due to the smell. There are a number of possible causes for this, such as a new machine odor, detergent issues, or lint in the drain pump. You can refer to the following article for more information here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=000064486

I love the idea of one and your done, However their is some cons the riser does not come with it and depending on the color it could be a little over 200 dollars, without it you will hurt your back having to bend so low, also the rubber ring inside the door gets so dirty every time you wash clothes it can be problematic when your pulling out clean clothes and it touching it
So I have gotten into the practice of cleaning and wiping dust particles off after each batch to be safe before I pull clean clothes out, I mean its not that bad but if you don't maintain it and pull out some white furry or some type of clothing that is delicate and white or even socks, that stuff that sticks to that rubber ring could stick to it and get it dirty and then it defeats the purpose of even washing them but as I stated the one and done sold me, no regrets so far.
Thanks for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. Your concerns are valued and we welcome your insights as we continually strive to improve the products and services we offer.

Mixed experience. The convenience of not having to move laundry over to the dryer carries this thing a long way. It requires more babying than other machines because of the closed system, so expect to be clearing lint. We got a dryer vent brush to get in and clear up the buildup every month or so. Also has a trap for the wastewater to keep anything to big from washing down and clogging things, which is great, except that the drain seems to be designed for someone with a floor drain. It's almost impossible to clear the drain trap without flooding the floor.
To help prevent water from getting on the floor when cleaning the drain trap, we recommend placing a shallow pan or dish under the pump access door and using towels for protection. When removing the filter, pull down the pour spout and turn the pump filter counterclockwise slowly to control the water flow—it's normal to catch about a pint of water during this process. -- We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you find the convenience of the Combo valuable. Learning Curve

Had a learning curve with the upkeep, we got an open boxed one so the manual was missing. But did some research after the drying feature seemed to get worse and found that the plastic filter also needed to be rinsed on occasion. Got that rinsed and both the drying and washing features work great. Will say has a bit more upkeep on a monthly basis but is well worth it for the person who likes to throw a load in at night and wake up with it done.

Let me start by saying I’m ridiculous and my standards are most times aren’t achievable. I admit that and I’m ok with it. That being said …… this thing is astonishing! Hands down the best of my 3 washers and dryers. Yes you read that right.
This thing is 100% everything it claims and more. I have normally 2 washers and 2 dryers. One for our stuff and one for the dogs and camping gear.
We intended to use this strictly for dog blankets and camping gear. I change my dogs beds twice a week and there are 3 of them. I refuse to have a house that looks or smells like dogs live in it! We have our old Samsung washer and Samsung dryer. When we recently moved we needed new ones as they were so big we’d have to stack them. We couldn’t bc the dryer was one size smaller. Our washer is massive and will wash king duvets. The dryer is slightly slammer and as a result couldn’t be safely stacked. So we bought brand new LG washer and dryer. Both now the same size capable of washing and drying a king size duvet.
We have the LG set in the laundry room and ran plumbing to a space in the garage to put the Samsung set, only to remember it’s a gas dryer. No problem we’d just get an all electric ventless. When pricing it, the cost of the dryer plus the cost of running 240 from the panel which is the furthest point away plus the panel upgrade came to the same price as this unit so we figured why not let’s give it a go. Then if the Samsung washer finally gave out no problem we’ve got a 2 in 1. I never expected the combo washer to be so good it out washed the Samsung and our other LG but it did!!!!! On so many levels!!! And it’s a 120 plug that goes in to a normal 120 outlet.
It’s expensive yes but now we actually have 3 washers and 2 dryers thanks to the combo unit. Everything can be washed and dried so fast. Had a party and table linens, napkins, individual hand drying towels everything all got washed and dried in record timr using all 3 washers. It also has a sanitary cleaning option so we can easily go from dog and camping washes to bedsheets and clothes without any gross residuals left.
I know it’s expensive and probably by quite a bit as compared to other units but it really really is amazing. And we can set and start and check on the progress of our washes from our phones so they don’t sit in the dryer with all that steam and start getting funky, which we haven’t experienced at all. Cleaning the lint trap was easy. It’s run absolutely perfectly every time. When people who don’t have dogs can’t tell the difference between the dog throws and the people throws and assume they’re all so clean it must be for people that’s a colossal win!!!!
Don’t cheap out if you cut the budget a little more to allow the purchase of this one instead. Like I said I have Samsung and LG top of the line washers and dryers and this without even trying knocks those out of the park. If either of the other washers break we’re just going to buy another one of these to have to washes and two drys happening at the same time. IM SO HAPPY I TOOK THE CHANCE!
Congratulations on your new Ultrafast Combo! We're happy to hear that the unit has been working excellent for you. Thanks for being apart of the Profile family, and hope you have a great day! All the best. - Don@GEAppliances
