At time it is a little noisy when it is sensing the load. I like that I can leave it and when it's done everything is washed and dried. Granted the clothes feel damp but once out and folding the they are dry. I have not used my phone WiFi connection as I don't feel like I need it. If I had a large family I would recommened 2

Then washed large bedding and it worked well. Then My kids started washing mixed type of clothing and it also dried them well. But I did tell them to not overload the unit. So I am very satisfied with this COMBO machine. Also love the app that tells me when my clothes are done and the fluid levels (detergent/softener) are getting low. I LOVE IT !!!

I have been wanting something like this for a very long time! GE knocked it out of the park with this one!! Notifications and controls via phone WiFi etc are awesome! I can control certain features when I am not home. Smart dispenser is perfect! Saves me space functions perfectly! The inside smells amazing! GE THANK YOU!!!

Posted .Thrilled to hear you find the Combo utilizes the space you have available. For the drying issue, we'd recommend making sure your software is up to date. There's an article on our website that can help check on that, it's titled: GE PROFILE™ ULTRAFAST COMBO WASHER/DRYER - FINDING THE SOFTWARE VERSION ID. You can find that by clicking on the Support tab. We also have troubleshooting tips in the manual that may be helpful; you can view the manual on our website via the unit's product page. If you’re not able to solve this drying issue and think service may be needed, that department is available at 1-800-432-2737.

From day one this machine has not given me one load of clothes without me having to re run it in dryer mode again no matter the size of the load I put in it . It takes 4 to 5 hours to wash and dry one load and still have to hang them on A close line to get dry . Iv fallowed the steps to clean out the lint hole , that by the way is a very ignorant idea to put it in the back on the machine with very slim access to the hole that I’m asked to put a vacuum hose into when it’s clogged . This machine is a good idea with a very bad design. I will most likely be reporting this on the bbb site and others

Multiple Repair Calls

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit almost 12 months ago and wanted to use it for awhile before I gave my opinion. I love the idea of an all-in-one. It worked great for several months until it didnt. The clothes were not drying properly and it took two to three extra dry cycles before the clothes would dry. We had to call GE for repairs (still under the manufacturer warranty). Because of our location, they use third party repair services. Our experiences with repair companies and GE customer service has been underwhelming. It took a little over a month to get our heating issue diagnosed and part replaced. Not two months later, our clothes are back to not drying peoperly (it does not matter the size of the load). We have had the repairman that GE sent out twice now to “fix” our issue and it has yet to be resolved. With our one year warranty expiring, maybe we will have better luck with Geek Squad fixing our issue.

Really great, kinda noisy

As someone who has difficulity with all the tasks required to do laundry, it helps so much not having to switch the laundry. Gets the clothes clean. The biggest downside is it is pretty loud.

Posted .Hi - Thank you for having purchased a Profile UltraFast Combo. We are thrilled to hear how much you love this unit and how it has simplified the task of doing laundry. The sound level of the Combo in washing is comparable to any of our other frontload washers. It is important that unit be properly installed, leveled and have the shipping bolts removed. In drying, the unit is quieter than standard dryers since the drum is insulated and there is no external venting. If you have concerns regarding the sound level, we recommend scheduling a service appointment to have the Combo checked. You may do so by calling 1-800-432-2737. We hope this is helpful. SO disappointing!

It then completely died on 10/9/23... I've had two GE third-party appliance repair services cancel service appointments with me because the unit is located in a laundry closet. Isn't that sort of location one of the primary reasons for the development of this machine... no venting required, available to apartment dwellers or people who don't have the ability to go to a basement? We are now waiting for a "GE technician" and I'm still not sure that they will service it. VERY disappointing and we're not sure what to do next.

I had very limited space in my laundry room so condensing 2 machines into one was key. The laundry cycle doesn't take hours, it senses the load and determines how long the wash and dry cycle will take. The clothes come out completely dry. It is wonderful.
