Lots of fun, great action, I enjoy the third person view more then a first person shooter and this game gives me that. Overall I must say it's a lot of fun, I have more game to play, but I'm enjoying the solo campaign mode and I'm looking forward to completing it.

The action and pacing is fantastic; the controls feel heavy but also smooth; and enjoying it in coop is excellent. As a veteran in the franchise, I'm disappointed by the constant repetition on the insane difficulty and don't remember the lack of revival from previous installments. That being said, it is a breeze on normal.

Wonderful 4K HDR visuals bring to life the story. This will also play on the yet to be released Xbox Series X and will load even faster and look even better. Can’t wait to see this when the console is released end of year. Highly recommend

Oh the memories! Here we are now with Gears 5 and so far so good. Great pacing, loads of action and a great story. Highly recommend it. A must own!

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pretty good entry for the latest gears. lots of modes to offer and the competitive multiplayer was the main draw for me. few problems i have is that the ranking system for competitive modes is awful and needs to be tweaked and the micro-transactions they added for character and weapon skins (pretty much a cash grab). pretty fun game other than those things.

However whether you've played them before or not, anyone can pick up and play this third person cover shooter alone or with a friend and have a blast. Looks even better on the new Xbox Series X to boot!

I also play GEARS TACTICS, but when I saw this under the Tree, I opened it already. Now I play this and not the other. For a while anyway. This game will make you forget the others, or at least take time away from playing others, You may prefer this one!

The negative would be I had other games in my cart to purchase but Best buy site had a glitch it let me purchase then cancelled my order. By the time everything had went through the sale was over. I got my money put back into my account but had to go somewhere else to buy my games.
