Oh the memories! Here we are now with Gears 5 and so far so good. Great pacing, loads of action and a great story. Highly recommend it. A must own!

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pretty good entry for the latest gears. lots of modes to offer and the competitive multiplayer was the main draw for me. few problems i have is that the ranking system for competitive modes is awful and needs to be tweaked and the micro-transactions they added for character and weapon skins (pretty much a cash grab). pretty fun game other than those things.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm about halfway through the campaign and I can say Gears 5 is a marked improvement over Gears 4, but still doesn't quite come close to the greatness of the first 3 (and Judgment). I just can't get into the new characters, but having Marcus, Cole, and Baird around gives me a nice nostalgic kick. I haven't played multiplayer games in a while, but Gears was always great in that department and I'm sure it's just as good here again. Horde mode has kept getting better and better with new additions and improvements.

The negative would be I had other games in my cart to purchase but Best buy site had a glitch it let me purchase then cancelled my order. By the time everything had went through the sale was over. I got my money put back into my account but had to go somewhere else to buy my games.
