The new 4-person co-op is great. The achievements are better and the story-line is very good. The draw back to this game is the tidious battle with an enormous enemy. If you play campaign with the bots, it doesn't take long, but if you play with your buddies then it takes forever. Family members love the multiplayer and the Horde is very difficult but much more fun.

This is the greatest game I have played in a long time. The story line was never boring. Once you start to play you won't want to stop because you want to know what happens next. In my opinion, this game should be game of the year. Maybe even game of the decade. Horde mode is fun too, if you like playing zombies on COD, you will love this.

A fun and engaging campaign mode with great voice acting and storyline. There are so many modes of play in Gears 3 that give this one a ton of replay value. Multiplayer is always awesome, either versus or co-op. If you're a Gears fan as I am, or looking for a great 3rd person bullet-fest that has tons of replay value, get this game today!

I have been reading a lot of the reviews on here and think that its funny that there are people knocking this game. First of all this game is nothing like GOW 1 or 2, i admit i did not play GOW1 a lot but i have played it online and hated how you stuck to the walls, Then i switched to GOW2 and i liked that alot but there were a lot of down falls Host and there laggy connections, the god awful 2 piece you know who you are LOL, and then the most annoying thing ever at the end of the match and the host RAGE QUITS cause there losing on there connection (happens a lot when i play with a team) but there are great things about it too like the wall bouncing and if your good with your main weapons that you start with. I have seen a lot of people posting that its a shotgun game well for those of you that think that you don't play the game enough if you get into a so called "TRY HARD" match you don't use the shotty that often mainly lancer and hammerburts. GOW3 is a great game from the beta stand point "That's why it's called a BETA there are still things that need to be worked on and thats why EPIC released it to the gamers early so they can fix and adjust everything. The gameplay is totaly diffrent it takes both GOW1 and GOW2 and mixes them togather the characters run diffrent also the gameplay is very smooth if there is lag they have host migration which is great. The new weapons are great too. i agree with everyone else that it is noob friendly the retro lancer and the sawed off shotty are cheap the retro is way too powerful and the sawed off can take out 4 players at once i know cause i did it, little unrealistic i think so but hey thats why its a video game and a great one at that. The graphics are amazing. I can't wait for the game to come out, EPIC keep it up i can't wait to see the games you guys make in the future.

Gears 3 is going to destroy Gears 1 and 2. Of course everybody knows that the story line is EXCELLENT. The gameplay, graphics and audio are also awesome. A must pre order game. If you have not yet played Gears 1 or 2 buy the Tri pack and get to it.

I beat the first two so it was an easy buy for me. This is a great game but more then that it's the end of the trilogy. There is nothing bad that I can say about this game it's a must buy for any gears fan or anyone just getting into the series.

Overall a good game. I wasn't a big fan of Gears, and only previously owned Gears of War 2. I bought this game just look for something new to play and was surprised. It has become my go to game to play. The revamped Horde 2.0 is the best mode to play. A+ to epic games. I also like the fact that they added in a gore and profanity filter. I don't like it when video game's characters cuss all the time. So I think that is a big plus to me that I can filter it out. I am in for the gameplay and dont want to hear characters cussing unrealistically like sailors.

I have been looking forward to this game for awhile and I am excited that they finally put out a release date for it. I have looked at some of the reviews and have to agree with the people saying you have to experience the other Gears of War games first before backhanding this one. I only play the campaign though so here is what I think for that part of the game. The campaign is awesome with stunning visuals and graphics. I have been impressed with the serie's graphics so far. I have always played the campaign with one of my friends sitting next to me just taking everything out in our way. I have read the details of the game and I hope that I am mistaken but it seems that there will be no local multiplayer option in this game. Hopefully I am wrong because my friends that I play this game with have a PS3 instead of a Xbox. Anyways, I can't wait to play the final conclusion to the campaign!

This game was a fitting end to the Gears trilogy. The story line tied everything up and the gameplay was excellent.

Got a great deal on this game from Best Buy, and they shipped it very quickly. I haven't finished the single player campaign yet because I am totally hooked on the multiplayer, specifically the Horde mode. I usually shy away from online multiplayer because it's a bunch of screaming kids that are better than myself (as an adult who doesn't have time to play videogames all day long!). But Horde mode is different, you have to work together as a team to survive. No shooting your teammates in the back. I have found it refreshing. Best with friends, but even with random people online it's not that bad.

The game is fun and the option of being able to turn off the mature content is great. The multiplayer has a huge learning curve, though, compared to other popular shooters. Customizable character, weapon skins, and playercard definitely improve the multiplayer experience. Horde mode is tons of fun, but it'll get boring quick if you don't have other people to play with. Beast mode is also very fun, but you'll want people to play that with too, otherwise you'll die a lot. The storyline won't be very enjoyable unless you've had past experiences with the Gears of War story, but they do somewhat make up for that with a summary video you can watch before starting the story. Overall a great game, but Gears of War is starting to feel a tad bit dated.

Gears Of War 3 is the best. Nice graphics, excellent storyline, game is challenging, and audio is excellent.

I really don't have any negative comments for this game. As a fan of the series and a casual gamer who doesn't play online because of lack of high speed internet in my area; I just believe the gameplay evolved in the right direction. Smooth linear gameplay throughout the campaign with an awesome storyline that gives you a better connection with the main characters. It is worth the purchase even if you don't have high speed internet to enjoy all the extra online features. Great game!

I HIGHLY recommend this game, especially if you are a fan of zombie mode in C.O.D. Horde and Beast mode alone, make this game worth purchasing. The graphics are great, gameplay is challenging, and the controls are relatively idealistic. I didn't even touch the storyline for the first 6 hours. Horde mode kept me satisfied for a long time. When I got to the storyline, the opening sequence, the gameplay...it just blew my mind. Great job epic games! Throughly satisfied and then some.

It all ends in this game when your done you'll be filled with accomplishment, you can play beast mode with your friends and it will be worth your money.

If this is the last Gears of War game don't miss this one.It has an EPIC storyline,EPIC characters,EPIC weapons,and EPIC surprises.Online play is faster and smoother than Gears 2.With characters old and new you can play as.You can swap weapons with teammates,mark enemy targets,even take out two or more enemies with one blast with the deadly"Sawed Off Shotgun".Online play has changed just a little,Capture the leader is a little like Guardian,but the enemy team must capture and hold your team leader for 30 seconds,Team Deathmatch lets players respawn if you die,so make sure you work as a team.New map desplays before the match make it easier to find out where weapons are.And they even have"Beast mode" it's like Horde mode in Gears 2,but this time YOUR the Horde army taking out COG and stranded humans.Also in the coming months look for new characters, online maps,and more DLC coming to the game,with it's very own update screen.This is a game built to last a very long time,with no slowing down.If you like gore,violence,chared bodies,meat sheilds,and more you wanna buy this game.

Better than games 1 or 2! Great graphics, constant action and good storyline for a video game!

not to spoil anything, but i had some serious issues with the ending...but the gameplay and story for the most part up until the finale is great.

the campaign story was great, keeping the story serious but still having some funny one liners. the multiplayer is great.

I really enjoyed Gears of War 3 and the Gears of Wars series. This game is a wonderful end, accept for junping around. The Harcore setting could be more challenging, but there is always Insane.
