Great addition to the series. Fun campaign and multiplayer

Great multiplayer enjoyable campaign and fun side mode

Multiplayer is fun and hectic. Campaign is amazing.

So this is for the people who haven't yet played the game. Some of you may be on the fence about it, some of you probably want to jump right into it. I being of the latter sort since I love the gears series, jumped straight into it. This isn't a bad thing, just to point out. All I'm gonna say is that this game didn't meet my expectations as far as a gears game goes. Remember gears judgement? How bad it was? Gears 4 isn't nearly as bad, it is a really fun game, but it left a bad taste in my mouth, just like judgement did. Pros are this: same great gameplay, most of the same weapons, some really fun new weapons, and the always favorite thrill of chainsawing an enemy to death. Cons: the story is confusing, the campaign is too short, and I was overall disappointed when the game ended, in my opinion, prematurely. But with that being said you get the whole series for the price of one game so just that alone is totally worthwhile.

Gears of war has always been a good franchise but GOW 4 puts it over the top. Two thumbs up. Online play is awesome. Who doesn’t like getting headshots or just playing co-op story mode. Recommended for EVERYONE. But seriously graphics and all. Every Microsoft player should invest in this.

I got this as a stocking stuffer for my kid. He played part 3 and beat it. And when I found out there was a part for I had to get all over this. a fast-paced action and killing monsters and what not. It still isn't beat Halo 1 but it will do. I'm pretty sure it looks good on my LG OLED TV

Awesome game! Fantastic graphics/environments, especially with HDR. Cool story that plays a bit on the previous titles but not to much. The most vibrant, alive, fluid Gears yet. A must own!

Gears of War 4 is exactly the rebirth the franchise needed. The story itself is the most engaging since the origional with all new enemies and protagonists. The story took just under 8 hours to complete on hardcore difficulty so it's not long but the quality makes up for it. The graphics are phenomenal and right where you'd expect them to be for a current AAA title. The multiplayer is a bit unbalanced at the moment I'm writing this but will be tweaked in the next update. Other than that, the multiplayer is a return to form for the franchise. The Coalition took great respect into the making of the game. Easily one of my favorite games of the year.

If you liked the previous entries in the GoW series on the Xbox 360, then GET THIS GAME! Great story, intense action & amazing graphics....I was hooked from beginning to end!

i've played all the gears games including judgement, and i was very pessimistic about getting this game, however, i was slightly wrong. overall, the game is great, especially the multiplayer. at a smooth 60fps it funs and feels good for the eyesight. i do think that my skepticism came from playing all the previous games, and that they were all the same; in a way, i felt that yes, i was right, however, gears 4 is fun in the sense that it brings the gears story in a new direction and light for a new trilogy, starring the next generation. in conclusion, this game is worth full price for gears fans, but i was fortunate to get this during the buy 2 get 1 free, so it was a good deal. i would say that if you are an xbox one owner, the third person shooter aspect is superb, and a must buy if you just have one console.

I love playing horde mode! Campaign mode is fun. Leveling up the different classes in horde mode can be a little time consuming but makes it fun. You will read were people are hating on the game but still play it, so take the reviews with a grain of salt.

I loved Gears of War on the 360. I couldn't pass this up on black friday for the price. The graphics are awesome on the xbox one x. I am having a blast playing this game. It has been awhile playing gears but sinnce I bought the X I just had to get this.

I really enjoyed the previous versions and this next installment does not disappoint. Huge plus in that the game was less than $15 with Gamer's Club on the daily deal. After a long day's work, it's fun to blow up a few aliens here and there.

First and foremost, I was a huge fan of the first Gears of War. The story, characters, combat and overall experience were quite original and fun. However, like many franchises do... they over use the same recipe until it's no longer fun. I played through GoW 2 and 3 and liked them but they didn't "grip" me. I avoided the other offering(s) as well until 4 came out. GoW 4 is more of the same so I would be lying if i said otherwise. However, it was nice to get back into the seat again with the crew and see Marcus through the eyes of his son. The story starts off slow but it eventually grabbed me and kept me wanting more. If you are a GoW fan then i would highly recommend getting this installment. The graphics are obviously better with the new console and it has a solid story.

I bought it on sale for 10$, and it included the first three Gears of Wars games -- so you can follow the entire story right from the start! The older games don't look all that great compared to today's games, but they're still a ton of fun.

Gears of War 4 is a love letter to everyone who has ever enjoyed the saga. New characters, new locations, new story, same fight. I don't mean that in the sense that the fight is still the same and nothing has changed so much as I mean the same fury in the battle sequences that we have come to expect is back and better than ever. This is a must have for anyone who loves the Gears saga.

I picked up this version of the game because along with Gears of War 4 it also had four of the past Gears of War games for a solid collection. I had heard great things about this franchise and I can safely say that it hasn't disappointed.
