The game definitely looks better and its worth revisiting. I personally out of all the shooter series during the last generation "xbox 360" the Gears series was my favorite. Chain sawing a locust is so cool, but it doesn't work as good on this game as I remember working great on the later installments in the series. Plus there's been a few glitches, one I remember was a Berserker got stuck/just stood in one spot and I had to restart to the nearest checkpoint. But nothing that ever real kept me from playing the game.

If you haven't played Gears of War before, this is a great way to jump into a classic Xbox 360 game. The gameplay is in 60FPS, the cinematics have been redone and the graphics have been updated to today's top standards. The gameplay itself is not changed so there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to the reloading and how to go about taking on enemies but its not too jarring. All in all, it's a great way for new (and old) fans to revisit Marcus Fenix & Delta Squad and get ready for Gears of War 4 next year.

This game is great remastered, but I wish the Ultimate Edition included Gears of War 1, 2, and 3. I would have given it 5 out of 5.

I never really got into Gears of War so I went ahead and bought this collection to really get myself into it. Needless to say, my attention has been completely focused on Metal Gear Solid V and this is just sitting in the case collecting dust. It's definitely a great buy for the amount of content you get in this collection. Nothing against the game itself, just don't feel the drive to want to play it.

Game is very fun. Very happy that I bought it. The graphics go great with the console.

Campaign is still fun. Visual upgrades are awesome. Multiplayer is full of gnasher elitists and bare bones part 1 mechanics.

The upgrade to 1080p and the 7:1 sound makes this game a truly amazing game. All the old characters look so much better now.

The Gears of War trilogy is one of my all-time favorite game series, and the new overhaul of the graphics for the Xbox One looks great. It's great to revisit characters I'd enjoyed. The game also includes several levels that were previously only available on PC and if you play on Xbox live prior to 12/31/2015 you'll get all the old GOW games free when backwards compatibility is released.

This game was epic when it first came out and is even better now that they have updated all of the graphics. The gameplay is still the same. What is so vastly different are the graphics. The colors are more crisp and I believe it is easier to see enemies on-line as well as in story mode. If you enjoyed the first Gears on XBOX 360, do yourself a favor and spend the $40 to get this game.

I played the original for hundreds of hours when it came out. Didn't think there was very much wrong with it. In anticipation for the release of the remastered version I played a bit of the original and man are the differences big. This is an improvement on just about every level which is why I recommend fans of the series to pick this one up. Plus it has the PC exclusive levels YAY!!

The GOW franchise was my fave from 360. The graphics and updates FPS are good on the Xbone but this game NEEDS HORDE MODE.

This is the first time I have played Gears of War since Gears 2 came out...why did I wait so long. The Coalition took their time making sure the Gears Ultimate Edition would be the best version of Gears of War on the market..and they hit the mark. Multiplayer improvements (just like Gears 1) should come out in the future because nobody wants to rely only on the gnasher... or do they?
