The remake of gears of war is a visually satisfying game. They did an awesome job updating graphics gameplay and the smoothness of the textures. The online gameplay isn't too shabby servers are OK but that's typical for a launch game. This is a must for any gears of war fan

It's an awesome game and great to re-live the original campaign. It's nice to have some of the "quality of life" updates from Gears 2 and 3 thrown in. The single-player is 30FPS and the multiplayer is a steady 60FPS. It's a great game, but it's nothing you've never played before. I feel it should have a more sweet-spot price of around $19.99, though.

I played gears back on Xbox 360 and beat it along with playing a lot of online matches so I was already familiar with the title. I bought this for access to the Gears of War beta and because I got it for less that ten dollars. With that being said it is one of the best first person shooters I have ever played and the mechanics of the game just worked well. The story was good and online play was top notch. This version with updated graphics is a must have for any fan of the franchise. For anyone who had never played Gears I would recommend checking it out so you can get a feel for the game and environment you will be playing in. I am happy that they are remaking classic games like this to work with current gen consoles and letting fans relive some greatness.

Now this is how you do a remake. They pretty much remodeled everything to make it look better. It's like stepping back in time but looking at a smoother and better looking game. The gfx on the 360 were great back then and look so much better on the Xbox one. Loving it!!!!

Simply put, the remaster work done on Gears of War is nothing short of impressive. What's MORE, and this adds to the value proposition, is that the rest of the series will be free for owners of this game as they're added to the Xbox 360 BC titles for the Xbox One. Or in other words, if you're a newcomer to the series, this purchase is a no-brainer!

This is a great remastered version for a great game, an excellent entry point to be prepared for the new incoming Gears 4 in 2016. also if you play online before the end of 2015 you will get free codes for all versions of the 360 Gears games, now playable on Xbox One.

This game is awesome, definitely worth the money. The graphics are on another level and still has all the gore and violence that GOW players have come to know and love! Can't wait to get all other GOWs when the XBOX360 backward compatibility launches later this year!!

The game is just over-the-top fun. It wasn't pretty playing the original release on HD TV's, but with this release, that problem has been fixed. Plus, they gave me all the sequels (digitally) on XBox Live with the purchase of this, so the value was through the roof!

Choo Choo the nostalgia train is all aboard with this remaster. Play gears 1 in a way that doesn't make you feel like you are jumping back 10 years. Feels and plays just like it did 10 years ago with improved graphics and flow. A must buy for any Xbox One owner.

There are a lot of remasters out there of last gen games but this is one of the best. Significant upgrade in graphics and the game itself is just as fun as it was when the original game came out. Great way to find something to hold you over until Gears 4 next year.

Finally to XBOX ONE the GREAT GEARS OF WAR IN FULL HD !! If you never had the chance to play this game in XBOX 360 this is your opportunity to play it in Full HD. I couldn't wait to play with my old friends and talk about the good memories we have from GEARS!!!

This game brings back all the nostalgia of the original game with enhanced graphics, 60fps, and matchmaking. There are still a few things missing like easily changeable maps and quick friend invites but overall it's worth it. For $40 it doesn't get much better.

It's a good remastered collection, I only played the original during the main lifespan of the 360 mainly because mine broke with the red ring and never got it fixed. It's fun and brings back the memories, worth the price and will give lots of hours to enjoy

The ultimate edition of the original Gears of War is a perfect remake of the original. The new models and textures look amazing, and the game plays well and at a high framerate. The game still plays as well as it did on the 360. I highly recommend this game!

I am a big gears of war fan and this game brought back such great memories of my childhood and exceeded my expectations the resolution is amazing and the 60fps just make it that much more enjoyable would highly recommend this game if you have never played it!

The game looks a lot more crisp than the 360 version, and still fun to play if a tiny bit dated in some gameplay aspects. If you already played through the original years ago, this one is still worth a look for the tweaks they did make, plus some additional content (including some online maps previously exclusive to the PC version).

I was expecting the standard remaster we see with a little extra care put into the life of the game. When I played this I was excited to see they put a ton of effort into making this game feel just as real as the first time around. 10/10. Would reccommend.

Gorgeous design. I love the color. Sounds are a nice touch. I've been patiently waiting to upgrade from my Xbox 360 into a Xbox One. I've wanted a special edition and this was it! 1 T storage, Forza 6 game, and custom look for only $50 extra? Great deal!

Very pleased with the upgrade in graphics and performance for play on the Xbox One. I enjoyed the cut scenes and playing through to the end once again. Of course, getting codes for Gears of War 3 and Judgement was definitely a plus for the money spent.

I have always been a fan of Gears of War, so much it was my deciding factor into my next generation console purchase. I loved this game instantly! It brought back how I fell in love with the franchise back in 2007. Online still needs some tweaking because the weapons are very inconsistent, but nonetheless still a great game!
