this classic played a big part back in the day of getting me into games as i am today and although not much has changed other then graphics. the excitement and memories of playing online are all back. great way to preserve history. after all these years this game has not lost a beat. nothing much is new but nothing needs to be!

I picked this up despite playing through the game several times on the Xbox 360 and I'm so glad I did. The remaster bring some crisp looking HD graphics and the gameplay is even smoother and more enjoyable than when it originally launched! Great game!

This is the PC version of Gears of War remastered for Xbox One. It's pretty much the standard 360 game with the PC bonus content and enhanced visuals. My only real complaint about the game is that the single player runs in 30 fps as opposed to 60 like the multiplayer and that the frame dips are pretty common in single player.

Updated visuals of the first Gears of War for the XBONE. It is the same game so don't expect a sequel or prequel with Gears of War Ultimate. If you are looking to jump back in to the beginning of the Gears of War franchise then I recommend this game.

The first Gears of War was so amazing years ago, and now it is back with updated graphics. Gameplay is still great, and you get the other games from the series for free for a limited time to play on Xbox One with the backwards compatibility feature!

It's still good ol fashioned GOW, just a little more shiny. The added story mode content was pretty great, I had a lot of fun with it. If you still have a 360 and the original GOW, I don't much see the point in buying it, but if you're like me, someone who ditched the 360 and miss some of the old games, it's great to have.

The Ultimate Edition brings the nostalgia of playing the original Gears of War while adding much more buttery smooth graphics and a few added features to the mix! Love this game! And if you are a Gears fanatic, you'll love the Ultimate Edition!

This game brings back the good times, the over all attention put into the remake is spot on and the extra chapters is just a bonus . Looks amazing and has me biting at the chomps for the rest of the gears series and most of all gears 4, BUY IT NOW.

I have only played through the first act so far but the frame rate the choppyness and things that were unpolished is gone! it's amazing and so fun to play! and for 39.99 better then most of whats on the shelves today! GO BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic remaster of such a classic game. The graphics look unbelievable and the entire experience got me hooked back on Gears. I'm now going back through all the other games (which I was able to download for free just for playing this game).

With overhauled visuals and sound, this is a welcome revisiting of one of the best games from the XBOX 360. There are a few sound and collision glitches but nothing game breaking. Definitely worth a look at the value price, especially if you also have GCU.

Picked this up, as I previously played the Gears games on the 360. What can I say.. the game is pleasing to the eye; that's for sure. It also maintains all of the awesome combat elements from the originals. They kept it at the roots. Hats off.

If you played the original Gear of War ten years ago, you already know what you're getting into. A great game all around with immersive third person shooting gameplay and jaw dropping visuals. The remastered brings all those sweet memories back.

Many of us loved the first made gears of war on xbox 360. This is a direct port with some updates to the match making and some gameplay. It includes all of the DLC maps for free, and it also has some gears 2 and 3 maps as well. I gave it four stars cuz some of the gliches like weapon sliding is still in the game.

Gears was a solid 3rd person shooter from the start with amazing graphics, solid story, and concrete gameplay. Having it remastered on the XB1 is a great thing, especially with the sale going on right now. It's a steal, seriously, buy it.

This remake from Gears of War offers current gen graphics and if you play a multiplayer online match until Dec 31, Microsoft will send the entire GoW franchise from old gen thru codes.

This is an amazing game at a great price. Additionally, if you purchase now and play any time in 2015, you get the backwards compatible version of all four original Gears of War Xbox360 games free when backwards compatibility launches soon.

This version of Gears of War is a joy to play for returning cogs and new. It looks more lively and the mechanics have just a little bit of tweaks that improve it. Bugs, so far, have also been fixed that the original suffered from. Go get it!

revise of original gears to get up to snuff for the newest console with some extra missions (supposedly). Wish they had modified it so more than 2 people could co-op online but I believe original was the same. Graphics are greatly improved

I'm a campaign gamer not a multiplayer gamer and even though gears has a nice multiplayer the campaign is 10 times better!! If you are looking for a old school shooter and want tough and long campaign play. Gears of War is the game for you
