There's isn't going to be anything new here but if you've played gears before you know what to expect. It's one of the best hd remakes I've played to date and the active reload mechanic makes you wonder why it isn't feature in other games

The new multi-player choices to pick from are greatly upgraded from the 1st gears of war game on Xbox 360. Graphics are great and improved, and story line in the campaign mode is awesome! I recommend for everyone who enjoys these features.

Gears of War has always been a favorite franchise of mine. A testosterone and gore fueled quest against great adversity. The multiplayer is smooth and fun but it won't keep your interest long. Play it for the nostalgia with your friends.

The original game is what made me purchase a Xbox 360. This remaster is better than most others that just port it to the Xbox One. Obviously a lot of time went into the graphics and makes it feel like it was a game made for the Xbox One.

I love the remade gears of war 1 and think that they did an amazing job redoing the graphics in the game but if you've played gears of war 3 you will be slightly disappointed because it doesn't flow as smoothly as gears 3. But in any case you will still love the game and the extra features they put into it.

I've played the previous gears games they are some of the greatest games I've played. I played through the beta for this one and it's going to be just as great even for a remaster.

Not bad for being updated to 60 fps and 1080p, remade for xbox 1 some of the bosses are tuff and you can play with 2 players picked up cause 4 is coming soon. It should be awesome with all the updates coming down the pipeline now. Can be a challenge, you can hate or love Dom. I would purchase again!!!!!

This game is dope the graphics are even better then before, loved this series on 360 minus Gears Judgment. Overall if you loved the original series get this version for the XO, additional 5 chapters added plus new muliplayer content.

This is a great game, one of the first "great" games for the Xbox 360. I'm glad to see it was ported to the Xbox One. Had a great time replaying this game. The upgraded graphics looked wonderful and the game is as smooth as ever. Would recommend replaying this game on the Xbox One to any GoW fans.

WOW! When things kickoff, they just keep coming out of the woodwork. If you turn your head, you might as well be dead. This game keeps you looking for things to happen. Oh, watch out for the one that smells you out! Great game.

The original Gears of War is remade in HD for the Xbox one and it could not be any better! Get this, and you also get to play Gears 2, 3, and Judgment via Xbox One backwards compatibility. 4 games for less than the price of one!

Imagine my surprise when I found this little gem on Best Buy's website! And on sale too! All of the current Gears of war classics - and now I can play them on my new Xbox One! And I get a Beta of the new one next year! Great deal!

I got the preowned version since the new one was not available at the time and it has been well worth the cost. There is nothing wrong with the one that we got and it has worked great! I will buy preowned from Best Buy again!

Throughout last console generation, Gears of War was always the go-to online shooter for me and my friends. Gears of War 3 was one of my most memorable social gaming experiences in recent memory. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a satisfying improvement for the original title, but feels like a step backwards in terms of gameplay mechanics and features for the overall series. This game includes the original Gears of War campaign and online multi-player with all 19 maps. Character skins from Gears of War 3 were added, as well as 5 new campaign chapters that were originally included with the PC version. The game feels barely fresh enough to justify its $40 price tag, but could have been so much greater if the devs had gone the extra mile and included even more content introduced later in the series, such as horde mode.

Gears of War has been brought back in stunning graphics that should delight new gamers to this series and bring back fond memories for those who have played it before. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes to play FPS.

Perfect remastering of the original game. If you enjoyed playing through on the 360, you're going to love this remaster. Same great game, a few added features and of course, updated graphics...not much, but definitely noticeable.

I truly enjoyed the campaign, it is honestly solid enough to play through a few times. The multiplayer is solid, but not remarkable. Great game, great series and a beautiful remaster.

...there is more here than just a fresh coat of paint. They added all of the extra levels from the PC version of the game (which is GREAT). You also get the online matches and free versions of the original 360 copies of Gears 1-3 (code in the box, may not be in there in newer versions though).

This game is amazing. One of favorites for Xbox. So glad they brought to the Xbox one. Graphics are great Only complaint is there are still some minor glitches (not being able to plant a grenade). Other that that 2 thumbs up!!

The graphics have been greatly improved but it's basically the same game with a few additional levels that were left off the original game, after playing you will get a message from Xbox with codes for all 4 Xbox 360 gears games which work on the Xbox one because of backwards compatibility.
