What's to not like? Revival of a classic. The game is violent and gory, definitely not for kids, but great for getting satisfaction out of your kills. A huge step in a new direction from traditional shooters.

Gears of War ultimate edition is a great remake of the original. It brings back good memories of playing on the 360 version 9 years ago. Also some new levels were included that were previously only on the PC.

So this is basically the same game with a fresh coat of paint. It looks amazing on the XBOX One and it was fun playing with my younger kids who didnt have a chance to place it on the XBOX 360 10 years ago.

I purchased this game because I really enjoyed the original franchise. The updated graphics do not disappoint. This game has me excited for the next installment of the game which will be released in 2016.

This version of the first "Gears of War" in the "Ultimate Edition" looks stunning with updated graphics. The whole "Gears of War" series have always been my favorite games and playing this game on the Xbox One X talk about ultimate nostalgia. Buy this game if you are looking to play the first "Gears of War" over again and you will not be dissapointed...again the graphics look beautiful. This version is perfect in every way.

This is how you remaster games, most of the texture/ graphics have been re-done from the ground up in this classic xbox 360 game. Cinematic scenes have been revamped as well. It certainly feels fresh again.

Fun game, just like I remember it back in the day when I was in the top 1000 of team death match. Includes updated graphics and menu changes plus I have not seen anyone weapon slide in an online match yet.

Just slangin n bangin headshots out again just like on 360. Better graphics. Movement a bit slower than gears 3 (maybe I just have to get used to it) but the game looks freakin briliant. 9/10 wud recmend

I'm a big gears of war fan I've played them all I have already played this one but I bought it for the online and boy it's well worth it specially the price of 39.99 great game definitely a great buy!

I had been waiting for this game for so long. I used to play it on my xbox 360 and now I get to play it again. The graphics are impressive. It has better lighting and the multi-player plays very good.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, by its nature as a remaster, shares that same great vision, and it still looks and feels excellent. Gears of war is the most involved, attentive game I've ever played.

As an owner of both a PS4 and Xbox one, I can safely say this game kicks off a strong Xbox lineup following Sonys strong 2015 start with Bloodborne. This game will bring back many memories and start new ones. New people to gears will struggle with this game so be warned! The learning curve is insane in this game so its not like Destiny, COD, Halo at all but this game is in third person like Uncharted and the Last of Us. This game is great, no other way to put it and is a great way to build up towards 2016s blockbuster Gears of War 4 on the Xbox One. Enjoy

I need to say that when this game first came out on the 360 it looked great for the time and once again it has raised the bar on graphics. Great online options and story mode game play as well!

This series was astounding on the Xbox 360 and with all the games wrapped into one for the Xbox One it's a must have for Xbox One owners. Comes with enhanced graphics and all the original DLC maps.

I loved the original gears of war series but had sold my 360 to get a new xbox one. this remaster gave me a great update to an awesome game. i would definitely recommend it to fans of the original!

I loved GOW when it came out for 360 and this version is very nostalgic. However, like many games on the xbox one that are trying for full HD at 60fps, this game trades fluid gameplay for a high resolution, etc. In other words, there is a lot of lag (in campaign and versus). The system just cant push what the game is requiring. I'm sure the gameplay would be much smoother at a lower Frame Rate. Setting that to the side. Campaign mode is very glitchy and there are a variety of issues which could be worked out with updates. I also didn't like that they did away with Horde Mode in versus. As it stands, I would not recommend this game at the 39.99 price point untill some of the kinks are worked out or the price reduced.

I'm new the the xbox gaming world and I've heard nothing but great things about the gears of war games. I couldn't wait for this collection so i can get the practice in for the latest installment.

If you loved Gears before, you'll love it again. Bonus, for those who only played on x360, the ultimate edition comes with the bonus chapters that were previously only available on the pc release.

One of the best Console games gets re-mastered for the new generation system! Takes some getting use to the new look and play but the game has been and will always be top notch game play! Amazing!
