Repairs ? Warranty ?

It has a twelve month warranty on it from HP. To fix it I must pay for a Geek Squad contract. Why did it crash? They can't tell me! So much for a manufactures warranty. Bye! Bye! To my $217 to repair the computer. On the positive side the computer works again.
