    Getting service takes forever, not resolved

    I made an in store appointment, they said they could not address the problem. I called the people who work remotely with your computer - I spent over two hours on two separate occasions and the problem was not solved. I then called to make an appointment for in home service - that will cost at least $49.95 and will require me to wait at home for 4 hours. The call to make the appointment took 45 minutes. All of this is a real disappointment - if things don't improve, I won't renew.

      Hi UVAVA – Thanks for providing us with this feedback. There are certain issues that do require hands-on attention in your home to resolve, especially when a peripheral is involved. I’d suggest heading back over to www.geeksquad.com/chat and having us give it one more go remotely, so that we can be sure this isn’t something we can do without being hands on.

    Disaster Strikes and You Need A Plan ... the plan is great. Covers 3 devices & covers a multitude of services. If you need help & are going to have to pay anyhow, just spend a little more & get covered. Problems usually come in threes!

    went to fix my computer. was told they needed to run a virus scan, and if I get the one year coverage it would save money. they could not fix computer and the virus scan was not used. don't have any other device to use it with or the one year service.

    Have had my computer in three time for what I consider a minor fix and i will be taking it somewhere else even tho I purchased a year program. Too difficult to schedule appointments and they keep it too long for simple repairs. Still not working properly

    Only recommend this if you plan to take advantage and use it........ as it covers up to 3 devices......... take advantage and have them look at your stuff several times a year and it's the perfect time to have them change hardware for "free"

    Insurance is always good to have

    I have used geek squad in the past so it was a no brainer when I bought a new pc. It's just like insurance. You pay for it but hope you never need it and if you do, there it is. It's worth the money to have piece of mind.

    They fixed my computer

    I had purchased a laptop from Best buy earlier in the year and after a few months it started to give me problems. While I did not want to pay for service, I decided I had no choice. They were able to fix it and I have had no such problems since.

    Geek Squad did not complete the conversion of data from my old PC as promised. The setup of e-mail was done incorrectly and it caused me many problems due to lost / deleted e-mail. I had to call Microsoft to fix the issues.

    The lady who check me in done a great job! Then it went downhill. They call me 3 times to check to see about windows. Why do I have a MAC? They had my computer 4 days and it is worse than when I had taken it in to Greek Squad.

    Every time I have taken something into Best Buy Geek Squad, it is either not covered under this service plan or it needs to be sent out and they are unsure what it will cost to fix until it comes back fixed... really?

      Hi harwell – Our Geek Squad 24/7 Support plan is designed for software support. It sounds like you’ve been running into some hardware issues with your computer, which wouldn’t be covered under that plan. Most any software issue, outside of a data backup or transfer, should be covered under that plan, however. We just launched a new program to give more accurate estimates before sending a computer out as well, so please don’t hesitate to make a reservation to visit us to get an idea on what sending your computer out may cost.

    I have Tried for 3 days or so and i have been told wait would be 1-2 hours. I am trying to install wireless printer. The geek squad at local best buy said i have to be home to do that. I have been unsuccessfull

      Hi fabi – It is true that a wireless printer can’t be set up in one of our stores. It would need to be connected to your own wireless network to function correctly. The wait time on our remote service can vary from day to day, and at different times during the day. Please give us a try either earlier or later than you’ve been connecting to see if there’s a shorter wait time.

    i BROUGHT MY COMPUTER IN A FEWS AGO AND THEY HAD TO RELOAD THE OPERATING SYSTEM. IT WAS NOT THE UP TO DATE WINDOWS AND THERE WERE NO DRIVES UPDATED AND THEY DID NOT ADD EVERYTHING THAT WINDOWS HAS.

    on line screening chat way too time consuming. determined i needed tech and it was a 35 min wait which i couldn't do so not sure if actual tech support was going to be good or not

    the verizone incipio cell phone proves one gets what is paid for, this is truly a $40 phone. calls are dropped, sounds as if other calls are trying to dial in, and poor tone quality.
