Very helpful staff but ..

GET ALL THE FACTS!!

I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD COME OUT TO THE HOUSE AND INSTALL EVERYTHING. THEY ALSO SAID THAT ANY TIME I NEEDED HELP THEY WOULD COME OUT.WHAT THEY DONT TELL YOU IS THAT THEY CHARGE $50.00 TO COME OUT!! THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD NORMALLY BE 100.00!! THAT IS A RIDICULOUS BUSINESS PRACTICE! WHY SIGN UP!?

We do charge a nominal $100 fee to visit your home for service, which is discounted for members like you described. That said, for any service covered by your 24/7 plan, there shouldn’t be any additional fees for in-store service, or remote assistance via phone or chat. If you’re unable to make a visit to one of our stores for assistance, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 1-800-433-5778.

Worst Geek Squad Service Ever!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a reinstall of windows 10 and after days of contacting them by phone online support and their store referring me to microsoft where microsoft said Geek Squad who did the reinstall has the product key for you to activate windows. No one at Geek Squad or online support could give me a product key which they are required to copy after speaking with a Microsoft agent.

Batteries supplied don't hold a charge

Computer not working

Posted .Hello catrat – If a computer comes out of the box not working it should be returnable under Best Buy’s Return & Exchange Promise (https://goo.gl/J9b8kG). If it picked up an infection after being turned on, however, the computer would no longer be returnable and manufacturers do not cover software issues under their warranty. If your computer is still within the return period you may qualify for a discount on a service plan, as noted here: https://goo.gl/eXz4HJ

Took in my MacBook for software removal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They told me they could not work on it because it was heating up and something very expensive was going out and that it would have to be sent off for a long time and would cost for, $500 to who knows. I took it back and carried it to an Apple Store. There was NOTHING wrong with it. It had never heated up on me before or after. Something very wrong with service.

Poor service

The computer works but not like it did before The problem occurred. The service is overpriced and required before they will work on computers. The only good thing is you can bring it back and there will be no other charges. I would not recommend this to anyone else.

Before bringing it back in, I’d suggest heading over to www.geeksquad.com/chat to see if we can get this fixed for you remotely, and save you a trip. The remote service should be covered under your Geek Squad 24/7 Support plan as well.

So not worth it!

Not only did they not fix the problems, but they made it worse. When I called for their 24/7 service to attempt to fix again, they said I would have to wait on hold for over 3 hours. That is not 24/7 service!!! This whole ordeal has been a very costly joke!! DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE. IT IS SO NOT WORTH IT!

While it is true that there is an additional charge for in-home visits, you can get service without an additional charge for many services in our stores or remotely by calling 1-800-GEEKSQUAD (1-800-433-5778).

Was not able to tell me the problem

Went to pick it up and the problem was still there. Manager came out and all he said was we can try and fix it again but could not tell me what the problem was and if it could be fixed. He was rude and arrogant. Several people at BB are great but not them.
