I'm sorry to say this but my experience was beyond horrendous. I bought this refurbished Mac for my wife in supposedly "excellent condition." I picked it up, brought it home, opened it and it had a dent in the top. I said to my wife we should return it but it took week to arrive and she said she was going to put in a case anyway. Long story short, the computer was totally faulty. It wouldn’t transfer her information from her previous mac and we had to return to store. The Geek squad (who was very kind and honest) said it didn’t even connect to the internet. Totally broken. It nearly cost her all of her data. So I order ANOTHER one. THIS TIME, I open the box in the store, just in case... It was even worse. See the photos I took in store - covered in dents, chips, scratches. I had such a terrible experience that the in-store team gave me a great deal on an open box mac instead, which I bought. I will give THEM a 5 star review on the West LA store's website but I will NEVER buy a refurbished Mac from Best Buy online again.

The laptop works fine. But the cord has periods where it works and doesn't. I tried reaching out but best buy's customer support system is confusing and takes forever to get a response.

Design and Build Quality: The MacBook has a really nice design with durable materials. The aluminum design is solid, premium and looks very elegant. It's very light (2.8 pounds) which is less than I expected. Performance: The M1 chip seems to be very powerful for pretty much anything even video editing. However, for video editing and more resource intense tasks I'd recommend the Pro model. I love how it never gets hot and it's always quiet. I mainly use it for office tasks and it runs very smoothly. For gaming, I'd recommend a gaming laptop/PC since MacBooks are not built for this purpose. Battery Life: It has good battery life, it really depends on the usage but I can browse, watch videos, check emails, FaceTime and work on Word or Excel and it can last the full day (about 6-8 hours) with some power left. I rarely use it on battery which could have a negative impact on my battery, but it definitely has good battery life. Display: There isn't much to add, it's beautiful, text and images appear sharp and the True Tone technology adapts the color to the ambient lighting which is nice. Overall, it's a beautiful display and you will notice it. Keyboard and trackpad: I love to type on this MacBook, it has the upgraded keyboard which is more reliable and durable than the messy butterfly keyboard from older models. It's comfortable to type in and it's very quiet. The trackpad, like any other Apple product is among the best, I don't think any other laptop comes close to how nice the trackpad is. Software: It supports the latest OS as of the time of writing this review (Sequoia) and it's compatible with Apple Intelligence which is nice, it doesn't add many features but it's nice to have compatibility. In terms of software support it's still updated by Apple, based on older MacBooks and their lifecycle it should support OS upgrades for at least 2 years, and perhaps 1 or 2 more years after that of security updates, but it's not official until Apple confirms it. This can be important if you're thinking of keeping it for longer than that since many apps drop support for older OS versions after a while. In addition to software support, an important aspect of Mac OS is the compatibility with other Apple devices and how nicely everything integrates. If you don't have any other Apple devices it's still a very powerful laptop that can be used as just that, a laptop, but being in the Apple ecosystem I can notice the advantages of the OS integration with my iPhone, iPad and AirPods.

Came with a wrong charger and cable. The next day after receiving the product I called customer support and they told me that I could go to any Best Buy store and they would give me the right charger. I went to the Best Buy Store located in Doral FL. At the store, the representative and the store manager said that there was no possibility of giving a new charger free of charge. I had to purchase a new one (cable and box). This is totally unfair and unacceptable! Even though the item is a refurbished item, you should deliver the laptop with the right charger.

What’s this device even inspected? They are cosmetic scratches all over which are kind of expected. What’s not expected is food encrusted in the keys that make them sticky, making the keyboard less functional. This was noticeable second after opening the MacBook, which leaves me wondering if this was even inspected. 

I returned the product because it was locked with someone else's email address.

Either i got unlucky or the other reviews are super lucky. Pink one just arrived with major scratches on the top and bottom cover PLUS a dent at the bottom. These arent refirbished at all but scractched and dented. Very disappointed

I order MacBook Air M1 2020 Space gray but I received Rose gold MacBook the screen is scratched and crack.

Can you guys send the product to the cusomer at least after cleaning it little bit? Laptop has so much hair in it. Charger was also fillled with so much hair and it looks like its about to explode. It looks so disappointing. Im so dissatisfied. I wish i can give you zero stars.

Unit arrived via instore pickup broken. The USB port had water damage and was orange. Charger was severly dirty. No option for a repair or exchange was given. Never buying referb again.

I purchased the laptop 4 weeks ago and it definitely has not disappointed. I was hesitant to purchase a refurbished laptop but couldn't afford a brand new one for school. It works like a charm overall. The battery life lasts super long. It's mostly used for school and I could use it for a week before the battery needs charging. The display is awesome, it is clear as day! The keyboard is great, it's backlit and whenever the light from the environment around you is dark enough, the backlit keyboard automatically turns on. Overall, I LOVE it!!!

I recently bought this Geek Squad Certified Refurbished MacBook Air, and overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. The device arrived in excellent physical condition and has been performing smoothly so far, the M1 chip is fast, apps run without any issues, and for everyday work it feels just like a new MacBook. The only thing worth mentioning is the battery. It arrived with about 85% health, so it drains a little faster than a brand-new unit. I do need to charge it more often than expected, but it’s still perfectly manageable - typically just one charge a day for a couple of hours, which works fine for my routine. For the price, this is a solid deal, especially if you’re okay with a slightly reduced battery life. Performance and build quality are great, and Geek Squad’s certification gives some peace of mind. Overall, a very good refurbished buy.

I needed a replacement for my MacBook Air when I decided to go back to school. This Certified Refurbished MacBook Air 13.3” M1 Chip 8GB Memory 256 SSD - Gold It has everything I need and at a great price! I love the sleek design, it’s super lightweight and loads so quickly! One feature that I especially love about this laptop is Touch ID…it makes unlocking both the machine itself and sites you have saved on your keychain a one-touch motion. Something else I’ve noticed with this machine is how crisp and vibrant colors are. The sound is just okay…it does its job and easily connects to AirPods and Bluetooth speakers. Like all Apple devices, it was a breeze to set up from my previous laptop and to add this machine to my external hard drive for backing up. Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable laptop with a little under the hood, this is a great buy.

I love this MacBook! The laptop was in great condition! It looked as good as any brand new laptop! It runs very quickly! It enabled me to do exams requiring proctoring with ease. The M1 processor is elite vs. the Intel. I honestly may never buy a Windows again after this and I have used them all throughout my childhood. The battery life is phenomenal as well!
