Great for Christmas presents

They won't get them until Christmas but both were quite enthusiastic about their gift

Good Gift for Young children

The nice thing about this console is that all the games are built in, no changing out cartridges.

SEGA - Genesis Mini Console

The console brings back nostalgia for many of the fathers who engage with their children in video gaming. We also have a few moms out there who enjoy gaming as well. It was a big hit with everyone.

Does Genesis do what Nintendon't this time around?

Yes, I've heard about all of those Sega licensed clones that have various issues (yet, they also have a cartridge slot), I found this one to be the REAL DEAL - Manufactured by Sega. Software is excellent. Graphics are great. I'm just happy that it has some games I do recognize, including Virtua Fighter, Street fighter 2, and Sonic. I wanted to give a full five stars, but I had to deduct one for their choice to include the 3-button controller, and pre-load some games that work better with the 6-button controller
