Very good, but overrated feels like a Ubisoft game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoyed this game, the combat was pretty fun, the game runs excellent on the PS4 pro, the colorful art design is beautiful. The main story is good. The duels were my favorite part of the game, but became easy once you get a hang of parrying and dodging the unblockable attacks. The open world is beautiful but feels empty, the various non story NPC's do nothing interesting, they're just there. The side quest did not catch my interest. The wild life is limited to foxes, bears, pigs, deer, and birds. The enemies are limited to swordsmen, shields, brutes, spears, and archers. If you switch to the proper stance against the enemy your facing you can spam triangle for super easy kill. The side activities were repetitive especially climbing the mountain to the shrine. Once you add new skills and abilities and level up your equipment you become way overpowered which is fun but kind of ruins any sense of accomplishment in second act I felt like I was playing on easy mode. In short it's a beautiful game, with fun combat, but the open world pales in comparison to GTA5, RDR2, and the Witcher 3.

Living the samurai dream
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this game. The combat system is fun, exciting, and satisfying. The exploration is rewarding. Whether you're walking along the rolling hills, playing the shakuhachi while enjoying the sunset, or helping villagers fend off enemies, there's never a dull moment. And I find myself looking forward to accepting the next mission or clearing out Mongol outposts. Music is exceptional as well. It supports the game well at critical action moments and lets the game breathe at other calm scenarios. The story has a lot of heart in it. Yes, it is Japanese feudal period archetype, but presented in ways that are very intriguing, with characters that support the story well. It allows the players to be invested in them. Sucker Punch has put great effort in making an immersive 13th century period, and you can tell the amount of respect they have in Japanese culture. I feel tourism to Tsushima Island will increase in upcoming years. Highest recommendation for the game!

One of my favorites
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was easily one of the best games I've ever played and quite possibly the best of this generation for me. I enjoyed the story, the gameplay, the characters really this is one of those rare cases where I just have nothing bad to say. The Kurosawa mode (black and white) was interesting on the second go around and the difference in ending was as well. I haven't played a game this much in a long time and it's one of the few longer games (ie not fighting games/beat em ups) I went through multiple times in a short period really the only others I can think of like that are Demon Souls/Infamous 2/Infamous: Second Son). Bottom line? This is the best game Sucker Punch has ever made by a long shot.

An Amazing Samurai Adventure
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ghost of Tsushima is a truly amazing game! The island of Tsushima has been recreated in stunning detail. I've had an amazing time just wandering around beautiful and diverse regions on the island. Additionally the combat and gameplay is a lot of fun. It's simple in nature and a bit repetitive, but still really fun. Going around and doing all of the side quests and activities doesn't feel like a chore. The more you wander around and explore, the more this game will reward you in the long run.

Just WOW, worth the wait for this awesome game.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The color and background of this game is awesome! I am half way on the big island and have not encountered any glitch yet. I think the reason some people find it easy is because the game has so many techniques/abilities/combos, which made it easier. My suggestion is limit the use of abilities/combos if anything. Other than that, it's an amazing open world RPG game that must be play.
