This is a great gaming laptop! There are some minor complaint such as location of usb, hdmi, and power port locstions. However, I did my research and new that ahead of time. The speakers on the laptop aren't that great but i mostly use a headset. Overall for the sale price that i got this at, it was well worth it!

Great computer for Gaming and College

I've had this computer for a few weeks now and I love it. I wanted a computer with high specs so that I could run very taxing engineering programs for college this year as well as play some of my favorite video games when I have free time. Although I haven't had this computer for very long, I love it more the longer I use it. One downside of the computer though is its battery life. With all of the high specs the battery is absolutely drained when not plugged in. Only get this computer if you will be able to keep plugged in for majority of use.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

I purchased the Aorus after spending months researching different options. I was looking for a replacement for an almost 7 year old Dell laptop that has seen better days. This one fit all the requirements I was looking for with a current graphics setup, storage and memory options, but also the 10-key numeric key (a must for me). Performance-wise, I have no complaints. From the basics of "office work" to heavy gaming, it takes everything I throw at it like it's nothing. Flight Simulator 2020 runs like a charm and works well with the Oculus Quest 2 as well, which I think is about as intense as you can get at the moment. The fans do get loud when you're gaming but when you're not, you can't even tell they're on. It's very quiet. I haven't experimented extensively with battery life yet, but from some early testing it seems that for basic stuff like writing, browsing etc. I should be able to eek out about 6 hours. It's far from the "All-day battery life" advertised on the sticker right below the keyboard but I knew coming in that a gaming laptop was unlikely to have great battery life anyway. So, it's what I expected. The light-up keyboard is a nice touch, although I usually stick mostly with the plain white. There are quirks that are a little odd. The camera placement is weird, but as someone that uses an external camera anyway when I need one, it doesn't matter and I appreciate that it's tucked out of the way. I wish the secondary functions of the F-keys and number keys actually illuminated, but that's a minor gripe since finding those keys are mostly muscle memory these days anyway. The smaller zero key on the numeric key pad takes some getting used to. The power cord connection is the only thing that really irritates me. It's in a bad spot for someone that uses a mouse, but it's workable if you let the cord run behind the laptop. One thing you want to make sure you do: upgrade all the drivers and software right away. The Aorus control center had issues opening out of the box for some reason and it wasn't until I updated it that it worked properly. Overall, this laptop is exactly what I was looking for. It performs exactly the way I hoped it would and gives me something that will stretch for years into the future while allowing me to upgrade storage and memory as needed.

Content Creators and Light-Medium Gamers Rejoice!

Pick this up for work/gaming. It works great with Camtasia, Zoho apps, 365, and multiple chrome instances open with tons of tabs open per window. I have already created/edited 6 different videos, and PDFs. Gaming side I have only ran Halo Infinite on ultra 1920x1080 @240hz, super smooth. I will be adding x2 16gb ddr4 3200 sticks of RAM and adding another m.2 1tb drive. I have a love/hate relationship with Windows 11 and with the fan settings on the controller software. Max speed is killer in keeping everything cool but it sure is loud, I can double it as a desk fan. Build quality is good. I was coming from a HP Pavilion 15.6 with 10th gen quad-core i5, 32gb 3200 RAM, and the Intel graphics. I am definitely more productive and content creation is definitely faster. I would recommend for the content creators and light-medium gamers. Primary use gamers should look for more. I caught this at $1199 so great deal for this price point.

I've only had this for about 2 years now and already paid $200 because I had to get the charging port replaced only a year in. Never have I had a laptop with this issue. Best Buy wouldnt even fix it even though I bought it through them. I was sent to another pc repair place. My omen laptop lasted 4 years before I had battery issues. I still have charge port issues despite taking to get it fixed because now they think it's the motherboard which will cost me more money!!! NEVER AGAIN. Funny how I dont see AORUS as a trade in when buying a new laptop. Best buy knew this this was garbage. Sad. Over 1k of my money wasted.

An excessively powerful laptop for the price

An outstanding laptop for the value. Purchased on sale at $1199 and could not be happier with it for that price. The 130W 3070 is powerful and plays games great, the screen is bright enough and extremely responsive, the processor is fast, and the high refresh rate makes desktop navigation a joy. Some might complain it's only 1080p, but 1080p on a 15" screen looks great, and frankly will maximize the lifespan of the 3070's performance on high end games better than a 1440p or 4K screen. The keyboard feels a little cramped with a 10-key jammed into the 15" frame, but I'd much rather have that issue than not have a 10-key, so I don't consider it a negative, and I don't have big fingers so it's not a big problem, but something to be aware of if you do. The only real complaint I have is the power port looks like it's "behind" all the ports and while that's true, in reality the placement feels like it's smack dab in the middle of the body of the laptop, which makes positioning in some places awkward, but not unachievable. Overall, I am excessively happy with it, I highly recommend it, if this laptop is on sale you would be hard pressed to beat the price/performance with another make/model short of perhaps the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro.

Great gaming laptop! We got this on sale after looking for weeks for a gaming setup for my son. This has everything he was looking for and more! Great graphics card, 1TB of storage, enough memory to make highly demanding games run smoothly and a 240Hz refresh rate HD monitor. We are more than happy with this setup!

Perfect laptop for on-the-go gaming. Runs titles such as Squad, Hell Let Loose, Skyrim on medium-high settings (1920x1080) at around 90-120FPS. As with any laptop, fans tend to be loud, but no thermal throttling so far. Recommend some sort of headphones to be used while gaming.

Really solid product for the price, it defiantly punches above it's weight class for the price that i paid. Ive been using it with a second 1440p 165hz mintior and it has no problem running games with over 60, even 80fps at times on max or cloae to max settings.
