I listen to the CD at work and am moved by the lyrics. The songs are moving and the RandB sound is excellent.

The first four tracks and track 9 are my favorites. They are also the most upbeat. The entire album is good. This is my first exposure to Sharon Jones. I will be exploring more of her stuff. I was very pleased to see the Dap-Kings wrote the songs. They are not covers. These songs are classic R and B,soul, and funk. A true throwback to the 50's 60's and 70's. I can hear Martha Reeves,Supremes,Tina Turner,O'Jays,Four Tops and other influences. Retro Classic and yet comtemporary. A treasured find.

Im so glad Sharon is back from her chemo treatments, but this album is a partial letdown coming after the stellar "100 Days, 100 Nights"...not sure if her vocals have been affected by the chemo, but you can obviously tell that she isn't belting out vocals like she used to still a good album...love this genre

Sharon Jones has made her mark with several fine albums in recent years. This latest album is not up to those high levels. The material is not as good but Ms. Jones' vocals are as good as ever. Recommended for veteran followers of hers.New listeners should seek out her pprevious albums.

Saw this CD in Starbucks, Best Buy, everywhere and finally decided to check it out. Very glad I did! Impressive example of contemporary soul; Sharon has a great voice and the music is very lively.

Sharon Jones successfully comes back from fighting cancer to show she has lost no vocal strength. She is one of our greatest living soul voices now and the Dap Kings provide perfect punchy backup.

Retro Soul at its finest! Sharon Jones and the DAPKings show why they are one of the top bands in music today. Truly another great outing by this band!
