God of War on the PS4 offers much greater depth and development on gameplay compared to previous iterations while still maintaining the cinematic flair the series is known for. The gameplay has a very weighty, impactful feel, similar to Dark Souls. The graphics and world design are gorgeous. Highly recommended!

I haven’t beaten the game yet, but I can already see how amazing the game is. The graphics, the settings, and the storylines aren’t wonderful. Kratos and Atreus’ relationship is so adorable and enjoyable to watch! I find myself super engaged with the story. Gameplay is fluid and exciting. I enjoy almost every second!

While it a bit of a change from the previous God of War games, new combat system, new camera angle, etc...the story, graphics, and gameplay are amazing to say the least. This is a must play!

I've been playing the God of War games since the first one and I've loved them. I was really looking forward to this one coming out since it has been such a long time since we've had a God of War game, and it doesn't disappoint. It is a fun and engrossing game and a great part of the series.

When I went to buy this game, I had extremely high hopes based on the reviews I'd seen online and heard from friends. I was not disappointed. This has been the best game I've played all year! Seamlessly flows between story and gameplay, filled with fights, puzzles, and beautiful graphics. I would highly recommend.

This is totally different than any other game in the series; having your son help you in battle, crafting, exploration, etc. The game world seems huge, I easily estimate the story taking 30+ hours to complete. And the graphics are simply amazing. Would recommend playing on a solid high definition TV and/or PS4 pro.

The boss fights are not on the scale of previous game but they are still fun and provide great experiences. The story has depth as well as the characters. Kratos has really grown as a character. There is alot of content in this game. The game looks and plays great. Atreus is a good addition to the franchise

I hadn't realized that I missed Kratos so much until I started playing this game. The graphics are stunning and the gameplay is much better than I remembered from previous God of War games. Having his son as a sidekick in battles is a definite plus. If you haven't purchased this game yet, what are you waiting for?

This is a once in a decade type game. God of war has always been a fast paced high energy button mashing arcade style action game. This changes to focus to the great storyline and narrative. Kratos is older and it’s interesting to see him as a father. Game of the year in my opinion!

I have always loved the God of War Series and didn't think they could out do themselves. "OH HOW I WAS WRONG". You HAVE to add this to your gamer collection! Words have not been created by man to explain the how Great this Masterpiece is. This was made to be played on the PS4 Pro.

I haven't gotten far enough yet, but it's been pretty good so far. I don't feel as connected with the story this time around, as it is based on norse mythology and the overall plot / hook at the beginning is insignificant (we're going up the mountain just to spread some ashes for a 2nd wife?) Maybe if Kratos hadn't killed his first wife he wouldn't have to shelp up this mountain. The challenging gods are pretty weak too - some little whiny pathetic demigod who keeps moaning he can't feel pain the whole time is your first boss fight, and it just felt too basic. I feel like they are taking too long in getting me into the game. I hope it's the start of something more epic to come.

I was skeptical when this was first announced. Why continue this series? I still gave it a try and I am so glad I did. This game is so good. Gameplay, graphics, motion capture, writing, setting all perfect. The subtle facial tics when kratos talks to his son.. I've never seen emotion displayed so well in a game.

This is a must have to every PS4 owner out there. One of the best games of this generation... hands down. The hard work put into this game over many years of development shows through every inch of this world. If you don’t own this.. buy it! If you don’t own a PS4.. buy one! A PS4 is worth it for this game alone.

Did not expect it to be a great game, but blew my mind with a great storyline and great gameplay. Although the over the shoulder camera and the combat takes time getting used to and slightly confusing menu and skill graphs, this game never fails to impress. Great visuals on the ps4 pro. Definitely recommend this.

One of the best ps4 games you can buy definitely worth the pickup

I have played this game for over 30 hours. Although it starts slow and takes some getting used to the new storyline, it picks up and the upgrading elements make it addictive. The graphics are beautiful even on a basic launch PS4. I really loved GOW 3 but this one is an awesome re-imagining that just works.

Initially I wasn’t going to pick up this game because I’ve never really been that interested in God of War games. But my friends kept insisting that I try it. And honestly, it’s pretty good. I won’t say it’s without flaws but God of War is an enjoyable experience that I feel that anyone on the fence should try.

A masterpiece, God of War continues the story of Kratos from the first trilogy (Not required to have played the first 3, but a quick read of the wikipedia for the story is helpful) while building on the characterization. Heavy, impactful combat is marred only by the slight repition of enemy and miniboss fights.

After playing it for for first time six months ago and having time to reflect/explore new games, I can still easily say this is the best game I’ve ever played. While I have many games close to my heart, god of war has taken over the top spot (for now).

Gripping from the intro! Haven't played a God of war game since the original and this drew me in from the opening and couldnr stop playing till the end then kept playing! Amazing game. This is a must have for any Ps4 owner and if you're thinking of getting a Ps4 this game alone is worth the price of admission.
