This game is on a whole new level that very few other games have managed to reach. The immersion experienced while traversing the Nordic kingdoms is incredible. This game must be experienced by all, not just gamers. I only wish there were more enemy types a la Dark Souls. Still, this is a very special game.

This game takes you in a whole new world, whole God's to explore. Whether your a fan of the series or this is your first game it's a must have. Only minor gripe is the camera is extremely close.

All of the games in the God of War franchise are top-notch. I only wish they did something similar to other franchises and released a story so far on the PS5 for all of the games.

This game is incredible. It retains much of the typical God of War intensity, while dialing back on the needless, over-the-top gore. There's a compelling story in this GoW, as well as a vibrant, interesting world full of secrets and puzzles. A beautiful, enthralling action game you won't want to miss out on!

I have to say “God Of War” never disappoints. As a fan of Norse Mythology, this game is absolutely amazing. The relationship between Kratos and his son Atreus is heartfelt. With outstanding graphics, gameplay, and a brilliant storyline “God Of War” is the game of the year. Kratos is my spirit animal at the gym.

This is an epic tale. Amazing graphics, it is a beautiful game. The combat system takes a while to get used to but once you master it, the game goes up another level. The voice acting is so great you really get into the game and want to watch every cutscene.

best god of war yet. fantastic story and combat. no loot and progression though. nearly as good as witcher 3 in some ways, but not quite a complete package. best game of 2018 still

These kinds of games are not released everyday. What God Of War understands is that great gameplay and amazing graphics are equally important. This game is beautiful while also feeling great to sink an axe into monsters every single time. The voice acting is great and I feel pretty engaged in it's world.

I played the original trilogy(didn’t play the mobile games) and really good accompaniment to it. It still holds the epic feel of the other games while still pushing forward and testing new waters. My only regret is that I haven’t been able to play it as much as I would like(adulthood, what are you gonna do?)

I really enjoyed the older GoW games on the Sony PS2 and PS3 platforms, but the prequels failed to get my interest. This is such a step function jump and improvement in graphics and storyline moving to the Nordic mythology from the Greek mythology. And the father-son dynamic is great. Absolutely loving it!

Don't go into this version of God of War expecting the same gameplay as the PS2/PS3 classics, Kratos is back, but in a third-person behind-the-back perspective. The gameplay is still wildly engaging, the graphics are top-notch, and the storyline is as good as ever. Recommended!

If you've played any God of War game in the past then you know how great this franchise is. Awesome graphics, great story and awesome gameplay mechanics. One of the reasons why the PS4 is outselling the Xbox One are games like this exclusively on the PS4 platform. Must buy!

I've played the first three god of war's, but this game right here is by far the best game i have ever played addicted straight from the start. Every night i play as much as i possibly can before i realize i am an adult an have work in the morning and continue to play because it’s that good!! I need more!

The God of War series has (mostly) always been great for action and over-the-top storylines – this one is a little more reserved/refined, but probably the best of the series for me. Atreus is a great addition – I can't wait to see where they take the story in the next iteration.

God of War is a really good game. How it has modernized the God of War formula to today is really impressive. More detail in leveling up and acquiring new armor, a new over-the-shoulder camera view that works better than I could have expected, and a great story featuring an interesting character in Atreus.

I always wanted to try this game and it was on sale for $10 so I picked it up. I haven't played it yet but it looks good. As long as it plays better than the first 3three I will be happy.

You don’t have to have played the other Gods of war to enjoy this game. But having some backstory is nice. This game is one of the best I’ve ever played. The combat is amazing, graphics are amazing on both PS4 and Pro. If you’re into single player story games, this is a must.

The visuals are amazing. The set pieces are remarkable. The voice acting is mediocre at the beginning but improves later in the game. The fighting mechanics are methodical and responsive. There's plenty of chance for variation in preferred fighting style. The narrative is wonderfully written and realized.

Excellent game and a great revival of a once beloved series. This game brings the nostalgia of ruthless fighting mixed with some new emotions that make for a great game. The graphics are great and the performance is smooth. It is worth the $$$ and will make for some great replayability.

Honestly there is nothing bad about this game. Excellent gameplay, excellent graphics, excellent storyline. It is a must have for any PS4 owner. Enjoyed every minute of the game. It changes some of the traditional gameplay mechanics of God of War but it was for the better. I would recommend it to anyone!
