This game takes everything good about God of War, improves upon it, and removes most of the bad. No overly sexist storyline, and instead a heartwarming but sturdy story about a father understanding himself and thereby becoming better. And one heck of a challenge.

What happens when a legend is freed from the gods? In God of War, Kratos is back, and he's now mortal, a man living with his son as he fights those who would disrupt his new life. Defeat the demons that plague him as he discovers who he really is in God of War.

This game was amazing. I've not played the original games of the series , however the game covers anything of importance from the past via its dialogue. I enjoyed this so much that I achieved my first Platinum Trophy playing this game on the Playstation Network.

I can not explain enough how mesmerizing this game is! From the moment you start you know you are hooked. It doesn't exactly follow any of the other games, so you should have no problem jumping in. Enjoy it. Games like this only come around every once in a while!

the game has dynamite graphics and a great story line, although the game play could use some update (the boy control and the main characters movement too)

At first I was skeptical about this God of War due to the a different game developer. All I can say is this game is a classic. Beautiful and compelling storyline and gameplay. I recommend this to everybody. Absolutely no disappointments.

Excellent story telling and gameplay. If you're buying this game, you know why you are buying it, we don't need to get into the little details. It's more of an experience. Games like this, Uncharted, etc are examples of when Sony really produces excellent work.

Truly astonishing production values. But none of that means anything if the gameplay’s not good. This is different from others in the series, more intimate (!) with stronger emphasis on narrative but still hugely enjoyable to play. Probably a safe bet for GOTY.

I've never been a huge fan of God of War's previous games. I'm not sure why, just couldn't get into them no matter how many times i tried. This game was fantastic, from start to finish. Highly recommend it for gamers in general, not just fans of the series

This game is beautiful! Not only does it have an expansive pretty open world to go explore, but it has got one of the best stories I have ever had the pleasure of playing through. Do not let this amazing game go without being played! Get it!

Such a well deserved GOTY winner. This game had fans waiting for years and it definitely did not disappoint. One of the best PlayStation exclusives out there. Even if you’re not a long time GOW fan, you will learn to become one with this game.

This game is better than the previous installments. If you’re hesitant about it, don’t be. The graphics are gorgeous and game play is simple to pick up even with the button combos. My only gripe is the font size. Even with a 55+ screen, I was still squinting.

Game looks amazing from the start, beast graphics. Best Buy delivered my game overnight, very pleased and it was at a great price as well, "my go to online app store". Recommend Game & Best Buy to any online shopper.

Only about four hours into this game but it is great. The game looks and runs good on the PS4 Pro. Got this on the Black Friday sale for half off. If you've never played this I strongly suggest to give it a try.

This game plays so well and the story pacing quite good. I loved every second of it. Atreus is probably the best AI character I've seen and the new gameplay style works well with the style of GoW. It's an overall fantastic experience, even on God of War mode.

People say this is one of the best games on PS4. Graphics look good and the gameplay is deep. Bargain price and a Christmas present for myself.

Games such as God of War really showcase why the PS4 is the dominant console this generation. The game is incredible with awesome game play and graphics on the PS4 pro are stunning. This game definitely deserves all the praise it has received.

This game is a lot different then past games, but by far is my favorite of the series. It's more of a action Rpg then a hack and slash. I loved the change in the series, but i do want to let any buyer know that it is a lot different then past games.

No longer a button masher. This game plays in 3rd person mode with an over the shoulder camera. Scenery in the game is gorgeous and stunning. Does push the PS4 pro to work a bit harder than most game and kick up the fan speed a bit. Enjoying the game so far.
