After reading about all the changes that were made to this game I was skeptical. After playing for an couple of hours I found that the changes made were for the best. The game is a good mix of the older God of war games and dark souls.

Same feel as the original with a great father/son bonding story that incorporates nicely the new mythology. Beautiful and stunning scenery, crafting system, and simply done open world round out a great game you can spend hours playing.

If you own a PS4, then this game must be part of your game library. The story is really good, and although I was very worried about the different camera angle on this game compared to the old GOW games, it was an easy transition.

Must buy PS4 game. 5 star sound and graphics. Gameplay is very difficult at the hardest setting but I expected it. Felt rewarding once I got it down. Story is ok as well. Father and Son dynamic is a welcome change imo.

This game is so awesome, I have just started this game and already there are a lot of twist and turns that you need to achieve first to gain updates and upgrades on weapons and strength that you need, to be able to cope with the game.

The game looks beatiful and the 2 graphics options on the ps4 pro makes the experience better. I also played this on a oled screen with HDR and this will heighten your experience. The fighting is heavy and can get very intense.

I really liked this game. It had me on the edge of my seat since the beginning. I wasnt dissapointed when i got this. Unlike another game ( *cough* Horizon), this acutally made me want to do the side quests and made them interesting.

Bought this for my PS4 Pro, but have yet to play it. Waiting to get a PS5 now. This was one of my favorite games back in the day, can't wait to play it with all the enhancements.

God of War takes everything good about the franchise and elevates it. Almost every aspect is polished to a fine sheen, with a particular standout being the world itself, and the new emphasis on telling a mature and meaningful story that explores remarkably complex themes. God of War sets a new bar for storytelling and world building in games, and transforms Kratos from a one note character to a fascinating man with a story worth hearing. If you have a PS4, this is a must have title.

I’ve typically been a 1st person shooter gamer but over the years have started to really enjoy these types of games. I tend to run around to find every bit of secret loot I can find and love the puzzles.

Fresh take on the franchise. If you're a fan of the previous games, look into this one for sure (if you haven't yet... this is already greatest hits so you can grab it at a great price).

This game is incredibly fun, actually the funnest game I've ever played. Brok uses extremely foul language with constant profanity, so be careful if you have kiddos around. Graphics are so amazing with phenomenal attention to detail.

Great game! It actually just won Game of the Year as well. This game shows the skill of Playstation Devs and explains how an underpowered PS4 still competes with an overpowered Xbox 1 X...The exclusives make them competitive

Can't get much better than this new God of War. Beautiful world and perfect feeling gameplay. Just make sure to play on the hardest difficulty "Give Me God of War" if you want the true experience. I can't recommend this game enough!

While the game is a soft reboot of the franchise and can be enjoyed by newcomers to this world, returning fans of the series will get a lot more enjoyment of this game because of the character growth of Kratos. Highly recommended.

As difficult as this game was on hard mode, I loved (nearly) every second of it. It is quite the journey and extremely well done. Previous experience with the franchise is not required. Just play it if you haven't already.

I was a fan of the original God of War games back on PS2, didn't play some of the more recent entries. wasn't sure how much I would like this one, but it blew me away. Glad they still make awesome single player games like this!

This game is pretty awesome; I really like the reinvention of the franchise. The graphics are pretty good, the combat is more methodical and strategy based. I like the light rpg elements with the armor and weapons upgrade. Must own.

This was by far my favorite game of 2018, I honestly feel like everyone should love it. Great combat, aesthetics and exploration, with one of my favorite narratives on any video game. If you have a ps4 this is a must play.

There is a reason this game won so many awards last year. It is just such a polished complete experience and another excellent exclusive for Sony to claim as their own. Props to Sony Santa Monica, for always delivering.
