This game is a dream come true! Made with love by Santa Monica Studio! The Story, Graphics, Music, Combat mechanics, Collectibles, Quests, Voice acting, Animations all come together to give you an amazing experience. It's a soft reboot from the previous games on PS3 (which I loved all of them). It has done wonders for the franchise. This is a must own PS4 exclusive title. Thank you Sony & Santa Monica Studio!

God of War is amazing. The graphics are insane, especially if you are playing this on a PS4 Pro. The story is one that should be in a movie. If you played God of War 1-3 you will be in for a surprise because it is not the same button layout. This is definitely an open world game. I love it. I haven't beat the full story yet because I am also doing some side missions as well. You will not want the story to end, BOY!

This game is beautiful. I didn't think I'd like how different it was than the older installments, but wow did they do a great job with this. Especially later in the game when you get something you may have missed from the first set of games. This had me hooked right up until the very end. I don't usually do the trials either, but I did them here. I anxiously await the sequel. Can't recommend this game enough

God of War is a masterpiece! I bought this game during the days of play sale for $10. It was such a good deal, I bought an extra copy to give my brother as a b day gift. The games graphics and visuals are exceptional! The gameplay is awesome and fun. The story is also great. Everything about this game is great. Like I said, a great game at a great price!

The story is a great adventure to get lost in, the soundtrack is amazing, and the visuals are top notch. There is plenty to do to spend hours playing and even replaying to really get your money's worth. With a sequel planned to come out it would be great to get this now to hold you till then.

Great gameplay, diffrent from the past style of control. but still they manage to make it work perfect. story is great and not "over done". I havent finished it, but my younger brother had a great reflection on the gameplay (he is more of fps type, but he still loves this game) I am always working so i cant really claim its perfect, but as far as i was able to play, it is completely worth buying and to experience

The visuals, especially in HDR, are simply incredible. This is one the most visually stunning games I've seen on any platform. The story and acting are incredible. It's just a great experience. I have a little trouble with the controls, but other than that I love this work. It really reminds you how much gaming is an artform that deserves the same respect as film, theater, music etc.

The combat feels fast and responsive, with a deep level of strategy that can generate a real sense of progression as you both improve your character and your skills. FANTASTIC story about a father and son, and my fiance loved watching and hearing the relationship unfold. Artistically bold, love the Norse aesthetic. No-brainer, buy this game.

Very fun and entertaining. Fluid controls, awesome graphics with a nice mix of story/cut scenes, puzzle solving and fighting action to make the game more interesting. Gear upgrade dynamic makes for hunting needed loot both rewarding and required as you progress within the game to take on higher level foes. If you’ve played previous God of War games, this will feel familiar and still very, very fun to play.

Great game fantastic graphics the storyline is very cool and the game is very challenging

To anyone who thought the original God of War games were a perfect trilogy, this is another case of a sequel you never knew you wanted. The story and visuals are better than ever, the gameplay is amazing (the Last of Us-esque role of Kratos' son is a brilliant addition) and the fact that the entire game is one long continuous camera shot is just awe-inspiring to witness. A new high for the series, for sure.

Everything about this game is amazing. The graphics are perhaps the best on the PS4, the soundtrack is excellent, the gameplay is insanely fun (the feel of the axe returning to your hand NEVER gets old), and the story is extremely well written and much more mature than the previous God of War entries (though I enjoyed those too, but as I've gotten older so has Kratos!) A must play for all PS4 owners!

GOW is seriously fun! Like its predecessors, it's about button mashing and watching Kratos blow through bad guys. But this time, he has his son helping him out. The kid is pretty helpful at times, but what makes it amusing is how Kratos interacts with him. It's a lot of tough love. The graphics are great and the controls are super smooth. It's a great addition to the family of GOW games.

This is a front runner for Game of the Year. Red Dead 2 might give it a run for its money. Pros: Story story story, Learning Norse Lore, Graphics, some what open world, 20 hour story gameplay. 40-60 hours with everything else, no load times during gameplay (secretly hidden in cut scenes) Cons: If I was to give it any cons, it would be lack of Boss fights. Im not counting Soul Eaters and Ancients

More Assassin's Creed than classical God of War. Kratos is older, wiser, but still insanely strong and capable of violence. He has slowed down for the sake of his child, but still demands high performance. The world and story are very interesting, and combat is definitely there, but it isn't as insane as the older titles.

God of war is one of if not the best game on ps4 right now, this game has it all; great story that will keep you wanting to know what is next, amazing gameplay that will keep you on your toes and strategizing against the strongest opponents. This game also has the best graphics on ps4, great music and last but not least wonderful characters that will make you care and want to listen to their stories.

One of the best games ever made. You don't need to play any of the other GoW games to enjoy this one since it moves to a completely different scenario away from the Greek gods. Do yourself a favor and play it in HDR with a PS4 Pro, the graphics are some of the best ever produced to date. Story, combat, music, graphics and voice acting is all too notch.
