An amazing experience for newcomers to the series and veterans alike. Do yourself a favor and go in completely blind, the story is actually really well done. Combat can be deeper than it looks at first glace, with a fair amount of customization of your play style. Can't wait for an expansion or a sequel.

Great Sequel, I can't speak about this game, but this is the right direction for next-gen. I come from GOW1-3 and I love those games to death, this one is one of the BEST game on the PS4 right now. A must play.

This game is many people’s number 1 PS game or close to it for a reason. Much better than the older Gods of War games. The story is good, gameplay is responsive and there’s a lot to do. I found the leveling system took a bit to get used to but it didn’t deter from the game experience.

I have never played any of the previous installments and this game is awesome from the visuals to the gameplay to the story. There are obvious references to it's past but someone new will not be completely lost. Wish I had a 4k tv and ps4 pro, regardless on a standard ps4 and 1080 tv it looks spectacular.

I love single player games with a great story and amazing world. this game hits everything I like. combat is deep and very well done, story is amazing and graphics justify my 4K tv purchase. I love the new setting and new look of Kratos. buy this if you have a PS$ and if not buy a PS4 so you can buy it.

I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of this game and have already put in about 30 hours. It is so much fun and has a lot of depth in the combat but it’s easily accessible. The story is awesome and having your son tag along and help is a stroke of genius to add a layer to the combat and puzzles.

PROS: top notch graphics 10/10, very very interesting story 10/10, fun combat 9/10 CONS:lots of back tracking if you want to do side quests, which can get kind of annoying when you can't just fast travel (you can to a place near it, but then have to still walk for a while to get to certain places)

In this continuation of Kratos' saga, he and his son must overcome the perils of Norse mythos to send their wife/mother to a respectable resting place. As good as god of war one and two, slightly better than 3. Many difficult foes as well as brain bending puzzles and dazzling graphics.

Absolutely wonderful. I never expected the ball of rage that is Kratos to make me feel actual emotions. Gameplay holds up, a bit more reminiscent of Dark Souls that the original God of War games but that's a welcome change in my opinion. Solid storyline, good characters, all around a great experience.

This is by far the best PS4 game out so far. The graphics look amazing and I am still playing on a regular PS4, I can only imagine how good it looks on a PS4 Pro. I am not that far into the story so far but it has already been a blast to play. It is not an easy game and not too hard, it is just right!

This game is definitely one to have in the stock pile. It's exciting game play keeps you wanting more. If you want easy battles this game is not for you, the battles get harder the better you get. The quest are up to the challenge so you have to worry about finishing the game in one day.

This is one of those games that come along very rarely in a consoles life cycle. It will be a game of the year contender. Excellent gameplay and story is superb. A change of direction for the franchise but it’s for the best imo. You won’t disappointed. You want a reason to own a ps4? Here it is.

If you're into Norse mythology and the God of War series, this game is a dream come true. Combining story and action gameplay with a Mashup of myths makes for a totally unique experience. The length of the game is also incredible, which will take a minimum of thirty hours to beat. Highly recommended.

I’m about 5 hours into the game and so far I’m very impressed. The combat is definitely different than the previous GOW games and is every bit as good or much better. It has all the components of a great game: good story, character development, voice acting, amazing graphics and sound. Get this game!

There are enough little details in this game to remind you that you are playing God of War, but the full product is so much more than any other game in the series. There’s a level of depth and maturity in this game that has never before existed in this series, and the game is much better for it.

God of War has grown up with a strong and emotional mature story following the theme of father/son dynamic. Cinematics are technical achievement as it's delivered as a single camera take. Beyond that, gameplay is strong and battle mechanics are easy to pick up and deep to master. Highly recommend.

Although the game play is different compared to the previous GOW games, it is still a lot of fun to play. I love the series and if you have played the previous games, this is a must have. The graphics are amazing and the storyline is great. I would recommend!

Boi! This game is perfect as a relatively new father! I love the fact that Kratos now has to go through the same struggles as us! God of War; maybe, but good luck being a father buddy! That aside, this game is spectacularly gorgeous with incredibly smooth gameplay. Having only recently and barely played the GOW3 remake for PS4, I'm not sure how I feel about having to use R1 and R2 for the attacks, but over-all it seems to be working. I'm still only maybe an hour in, just defeated "The Stranger" but this game has me hooked. Not only on the gameplay but with how smooth the transitions are from story to gameplay. Seamless experience so far. Another comparison and improvement coming from the GOW3 remake - the camera controls. I love that we can control the camera angles. Overall this game seems to be put together very well and I'm looking forward to completing this journey with my BOI! Definitely worth playing on PS4Pro with a 4K HDR Television, but I'd imagine it being just as fun of an experience in plain ol HD as well.
