I’ve played the previous god of war games and this is by far my favourite in the series. The game looks beautiful and I really enjoyed the story. I love the Norse lore too. Absolutely Fantastic game!!!!

The game is very fun and challenging. The graphics on the PS4 Pro are great very life like. The story is new and fresh, I haven't played the series since PS2, and the game is still awesome. Highly recommended.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. Although I have not personally played this game I think it is fair to assume it’s a winner. Upon receiving his gift my husband proceeded to jump up and down hollering in joy as if he were a small child who was told he could have candy for supper. He then disappeared into the hollows of his man cave only retreating for necessities like food, water, sleep, and work. I’m not positive but he may have been using a diaper to avoid unnecessary time away from his game. This game also afforded me the ability to quietly watch sappy holiday movies to my content without constant dad joke interruptions. All in all this game seems to be a real winner for the whole family.

This God of war nails it with graphics, story line, combat and capturing interest. The only thing I would day could have been done differently is to have a different finisher like the older gens.

Purchased for my nephew as a Christmas gift. I've played it myself and really enjoyed as I'm sure he will too. Recommended for anyone familiar or new to the series.

About 2 hours of gameplay in, I am blown away. The level of detail put into this game, the cinematic quality, the responsive combat and overall experience make this a must buy for your PS4. I have never played a God of War game; this is the first in the franchise that I have played. I do not feel like I am lost or missing anything from not playing the prior games, however. This game would be enough to warrant a PS4 purchase for me, if I didn't own one. It's that good. Huge props to the developers. Even the voice acting is top-notch. The only caveat to this review is that I am not that far into the game and I do not know about the replayability or longevity of the game. But so far, I am having a blast and loving it.

IMO the best GOW game yet. Incredible grafx, excellent story, near flawless mechanics, this is another top flight game from Sony's internal studios. Got it on sale, plus GCU so for $40 I couldn't go wrong.

This game does an amazing job revitalizing the God of War series and makes the player actually care about Kratos and his sons journey. The combat it fun and fresh and the story has a lot of turns and twists.

Awesome game.... A lot of fun.... Graphics are great.... Its like watching a movie.... Game play is exciting and challenging.... No obvious cutscenes..... Game plays straight through with the story.....

A complete revamp of the god of war series, amazing story and fun combat . Words don’t do this game justice. A must buy even if you aren’t a gamer. Playing the previous game would help, but totally optional.

God of War for PS4 is so good!!! I am speechless. The graphics, how the story is going so far as I play through, the music/sounds/voices of the game. Very very impressive!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE!!

This went so far beyond my expectations and moved the story and characters in such an unexpected way. Super fun, gorgeous graphics, and a story with some feels. Definitely the best game of the year!

The story and the graphics and presentation are absolutely top notch. I liked the change in the gameplay and viewpoint, it makes for a more cinematic experience. If you own a PS4 this is a must have.

The story is so amazing they did such a good job I was weary after the series had ended but they incorporate this so well, graphic are top notch and mechanics are fluid a must have!

Great game and challenging! If you don't have it yet, I def recommend getting it at the budget price that you can find nowadays. The story and game play is awesome!

If you own a ps4 get this game. A must own in my opinion. Great gameplay and surprisingly great story to go with it. Fun enjoyable game with an ending that promises more fun to come with Future downloads.

Not much more to say other than this game is the wow factor story wise, and visually. If you have a PS4 Pro and a good 4k TV, you owe it to yourself to pick this title up.
