Maybe it's my lack of enthusiasm for nordic narratives but this just didn't appeal to me as much as I would have liked it to

I’m a really huge fan of God of War games but I fill this game could have a little more at the end.

i am one of those few people that really hated the game. i was really looking forward to it. i loved the original trilogy and the pop games i enjoyed them all when this one dropped and i spent hours and hours playing i got bored. it wasn't fun or engaging and you see things coming, there are no surprises

Its a good game. But it is alittle linear. I got kind of bored with the game.

I was very upset that I only got the PS4 game and not my Xbox cards for 3 months. Both cards were going to be gifts and it was a great deal. I like doing purchases online not with crowds of people.

Basically a LEGO game without the LEGO graphics. Nothing new here at all, locked in a room, then basic puzzle, rinse and repeat. Over and over.

I don't know why someone would waste their time or money on this game--I sure wish I hadn't. There are many decent games worth buying, but this is not one of them. Most of the game is figuring out one puzzle after another--there are so many of them that the game is bogged down by this--they're continual. There was very little instruction on what to do in certain instances. Some enemies just show up and kill you. Sometimes, the game will offer hints after you have been killed several times, but sometimes not. Sometimes I would go on line to hear how to do something, and think that there's no way in the world I would have ever thought to do that extended combination of things. No, I cannot recommend this game. The game play was just not worth the frustration this game caused. Go get a good game.

I received a copy of this game with my God of War PS4Pro console bundle. I have played little of the first two God of War games, but have beaten God of War 3 on both the PS3 and when it was remastered on the PS4. Never in my dreams did I imagine the epic fights of God of War 3 could be topped but less than an hour into this game and I was proven wrong. The story is overall much more engaging than any of the previous games and this is likely due to "boy" who in one instant pulls at my heart and the next makes me want to smack him up side his head. Combat is GOW4 is very different from what we had in prior games, with the camera constantly being close to Kratos instead of pulled away. At first I found it distracting but having put more time into the game, I really like the decision. It helps make the game more strategic versus before where it was mostly button mashing and QTE's. As far as performance goes, I highly recommend playing this on a PS4 Pro. Aside from one area of the game, I consistently get close to 60 FPS whether I'm fighting someone or just roaming around. I do not have a 4k TV so have not tested out that feature but the graphics in 1080p alone make this one of the best looking games I've ever played on consoles. If you're still on the fence about buying this game, don't hesitate one more minute. This is not only the best God of War game ever released, it will go down as one of the best games of all-time for sure.

While red dead redemption 2 may be goty for many who didn't bother to buy god of war. The truth is after playing both more than 20 hours i can declare god of war the best, not just of the year but one of the best games ever made. The violence and rich story telling is something you barely see in combination. The graphics are godly and the controls are perfect.

this is an excellent game but I am giving 3 stars because due to so saving issue, I had to start again since it stucked at one place and wouldn't go further.

Broken game case and clips that hold game broken as well don’t use curbside pick unless you want your stuff broken.

Tired lame old gameplay yawnfest. Thankfully I only wasted 10 dollars on it. And u thought god of war 3 was bad.

This game is terrible. Walk away no need to read other reviews or explain why its bad. Buy something else. Anything else. You're welcome.
