While past God of War games have been solid, action/beat-em-ups, this reboot dips its toes more into the action-RPG world, and gets fantastic results in the process. Easily one of the best exclusives on the PS4. I also enjoyed the fact that Atreus doesn't get in the way during combat (and actually helps), and that Christopher Judge (Teal'c on Stargate SG-1) did the voice acting for Kratos. Really, I can't recommend this one enough, and look forward to continuing games in this style.

I waited years for another Kratos adventure. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. No rush to finish it, just taking my sweet time doing everything.

This is the game. Graphics, story and audio at the best. Feels like a next gen game instead of a current gen.

If you played any of the GOW games this one will not disappoint! Great story and graphics are amazing!

Never played a God of War game before, but this is pretty great. Good story (so far), fun gameplay, and looks great, even on an old PS4.

I’ve always loved playing god of war as a kid, now that they released this new game it’s better then ever. Love the gameplay and story.

This game is really a 10/10. Must play if you own a PS4 - maybe even consider buying one for it. Fantastic reimagining of an epic series.

I will admit through playing this game, I was disappointed that there weren't any huge boss' to fight, like there were back in the old God of War games. Granted, I'm only halfway through the game so there's still time. That is my single and only complaint of this game. It is beautiful, fun, action packed, and everything you could want in a game. I have spent hours upon hours just walking around exploring this beautiful game and trying to find treasure, and it's a ton of fun! If you are thinking about getting it, JUST GET IT!

Get of the year and rightfully so! Jaw dropping visuals, superb HDR implementation and fantastic story and gameplay! A must have!!

Incredible game. Everything from the game play, to the story, to the graphics are top notch. It really doesn't get much better than this.

Kratos is unapologetically masculine with his comments which makes this such a fun game to play. Valkyries are the most difficult of the game because you need to figure out how to defend and when to attack. Only drawback, it is not truly open world. You are lead from one place to another with very little ability to explore

After spending hundreds of hours playing God of War and still not getting 100% completion.. wow.. what a ride. The graphics, mechanics, storyline and sound effects are so visceral that you might find yourself growing a Viking war-beard and referring to anyone younger than yourself (aka without a beard) as "boy". I only wish Santa Monica studios blessed us with some DLC to hold us over until the next iteration of a new spin on a Sony exclusive series that has now become the model for every future game.

I love everything about this game. It's pretty brutal so you might want to think about that but I was ok with it for my 15yr old.

This game is incredible. From the story, to the visuals, to the gameplay. Sony's own GOW franchise never disappoints.
