I love the God of War series. I love the direction the series is going. I hope they continue this.

I didn't play all of the previous God of War games but I did enjoy the 2 I did play. This game is as good, probably, even better, than the previous games. The Norse mythology was a great next step for the franchise. The game starts of easy but definitely gets to a point where you have to start thinking and trying. The story is great but you should definitely play it more than just the story. I definitely would recommend to play this for the God of War fan and even someone new to the game.

God of War is like “The Last of Us” and “Horizon Zero Dawn” had a baby. It’s amazing graphics and stunning visuals allow for a cinema like experience. The fighting is a huge upgrade from the old God of War games. This is a unique experience that puts the player in the shoes of a...well...used to be invincible god. Oh!! And the enemies are vastly different, not 1,000 of the same guys running at you. The customization and leveling up of your gear was a stroke of genius. This game gets 10/10

Never played the original set of games, but had a vague understanding of the intense combat driven style. This seems to take it to another level with the free roaming, adventurousness of the game with awesome combat controls and combos to get you through (almost) anything you face. The fact that this ever went down to $10 is unreal to me. Buy this game if you were late to the party like me. It's a must.

I liked the original PS2 and PS3 series of God of War games well enough, but man, does this game live up to the hype. Absolutely gorgeous on a 4k or 1080p screen, with a solid framerate once you change it to performance mode, eliminate the film grain, and turn off motion blur. A gripping story of a father and son on a journey, solid gameplay, and epic soundtrack combine to make one of my favorite games on the PS4. Runs super smooth in performance mode on my PS4 Pro. Highly recommended.

Best God of War yet, by a mile. Take everything you thought you knew about God of War games and toss it. Well, keep the flashy combo-centric combat, but toss everything else. I can't say it's my favorite game of 2018 so far -- Monster Hunter World makes that unfair -- but it's really right up there with it. A top-quality game from the very beginning to the very end, and then some. Playtime for approximately 75% total completion was around 50 fun hours. Stay spoiler-free and pick this up.

Not being a huge fan of the series I was blown away at the graphics, gameplay and story. Must have for any PS4 owner.

This should be nominated game of the year. You will not be left bored. There is tons of things to do. You can follow the "journey" (aka, campaign) or you can explore, go to different realms in the Nordic gods lore and get tons of extra gear, armor etc. Hours and hours of fun. Best game I've played. Xbox gamers are salty they don't have games like this in their platform. Kudos to Sony for supporting their studios and cranking up the 1st party games. Now onto Detroid: become human in May!

saw the trailer at e3 and was impress by the presentation and gameplay. When i started my first god of war games in the current gen console graphics, i must say this is worth the money. even better at lower price. I think it is well worth the retail price to experience the journey between kratos and his son. The combat is awesome and fun, the voice acting is awesome, everything is awesome. I am hoping for a part 2 soon.
