Yes! Yes! Yes! God of War is the best console game ever. If you have a PS4, you have to play it. I won't tell you a lot to prevent spoilers but there are many twists in the story and you're likely won't see them coming! Kratos and his son are awesome! I already put in more than 40 hours and I still cannot stop playing the game!!! BUY IT and PLAY IT right now!

God of War still has the classic smooth combat of the other games but with a maturity that changes the way you think about this entry in the series. No longer just a fantasy killing spree, the game has emotional weight and a slower pace. You can lose yourself in the world Sony Santa Monica has built, raising the bar for every game in the genre to follow.

Graphics, animations, sound effect and controls all are amazing. The combos in this game are very creative and will keep you wanting to perfect them more and more. I didn’t think I’d like this game as much as I am but I’d easily say this is one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. I have pretty high standards for gaming nowadays but this takes it.

This game is too good for it’s own good! Within the first few moments of starting, I was shocked by the level of detail on the characters and the world itself. The world is large and absolutely beautiful, the plot is relatively simple(but good), most of the characters are likable, and the lore is so rich that I could see three more games come from this.

Best Game of 2018! Hands down. I recommend this to everyone.

Excellent game. Combat has changed but for the better. The story is top notch. Even when the game ends there's still so much great content. I couldn't put down the game. Graphics are some of the best in the generation. This game got a lot of hype and it definitely deserved after playing this.

As a God of War game this is the worst the series has to offer since it strips the game of elements that makes the series so grand and bombastic. On the other hand it borrows a lot from metroidvania style games and it has a more adventure/exploration vibe to it that makes it a better game than the rest. The worst is that there is a lot of section were the games take you b y the hand and guide you, the lack of actual bosses and the reusable mobs that repeats on a constant basis. and it's just too "cinematic" for its own good. At the end of the day I wish they had made better choices about the story or just simply created a new character for the game instead of using Kratos. Get it if you like more exploration/adventure games. Cheers.

If you didnt own a Ps4 & were thinking about buying one, this is the game to buy to start your collection. Simply put, the game is a masterpiece throughout, on every aspect you would want. The story, the graphics, the sound, the action, etc, one of the few games made from any generation that will stand out in the years to come.

Fun story. I love GOW and it is a different game play than the GOW of old. Cool story and much longer than expected from an adventure games with about 50hrs+ to complete it.

I've been a fan of this series since the PS2 debut. Loved the new direction Corey Balrog has taken this series, from the wonderful art and graphics to the fluid controls and new gameplay mechanics not to mention the intense storyline with many teachable moments. I've already convinced 3 of my friends to pick it up too and they absolutely love it too.

The characters keep you engaged through their banter as you travel and the story keeps on evolving as the characters develop on their journey. The combat is simple but allows the player to make it their own through deciding equipment and abilities. The hype is real and if you have not already purchased it, their will be FREE DLC in the near future.

I've played and beaten every god of war game, it's one of my favorite franchises. After the conclusion of gow 3 I wasn't sure how they could continue the story. Kratos has new tricks and a sidekick along with a new weapon. The is game gorgeous and the gameplay is fantastic. I dare to say it's the best gow I ever played! This is absolutely a must buy!

This game plays nothing like the previous games especially with the one shot camera constantly over the shoulder. Graphics are amazing for 30FPS. The game plays like Tomb Raider in the linear but open world aspect and also has a story telling just as The Last Of Us with the struggle between adult and child. Would recommend this game to any GOW fans.

One of those games everyone needs to have in their collection. One of the best games in this generation of video games. Buy it, play it and love it. Story is amazing, game play is tough and the graphics are gorgeous. Not a short game and it's the best God Of War ever. I've played them all and beat them and this is my favorite of the entire series.

Thanks to Santa Monica crew for making this legendary piece for Playstation. Can’t wait until the next one, I’m already hyped about it, even though God of War 4 just came out last year. More easy to be said the gameplay, story, graphics, and all the side stuff are amazing.Everything about this game is worth your time. 10/10

For any fan of God of War and video games alike. The new entry in this classic series takes a huge detour with amazing story telling and visuals that are as good as any. Coming in at well over 35 hours God of War is an open world adventure that has tons to offer and will keep you coming back even if you were not a fan of the previous iterations.

The game has great action, graphics and action but it's nothing like the original trilogy, oh and there no jump button or jump combos. First of all this is not a bad game story can be interesting at times then it drags and gets boring then it gets interesting again. The puzzles are kinda ok but some are doing to much. I hate that every game is trying to implement dark souls demon souls style combat, but it I dont like that every game is taking inspiration from the combat in those games. I feel like this gen graphics is holding it back from adding a jump button, something that needs to change as long with the dark souls demon souls inspired combat.

God of War is a different game than what you are used to seeing. Kratos carries an ax as his primary weapon, and he is now tearing up Norse mythology. He and his son, Atreus, are on a quest, and the fires of his former rage have died down a little. The game is one of the most visually stunning on the PS4, and the PS4 Pro's performance mode makes the game very smooth, even if you don't have a 4K TV. The combat is still smooth and ferocious with finely tuned mechanics, great death animations, and a wide range of creatures to attack. It also feels just a touch more strategic than past games. The world itself is huge with snow covered forests, a giant lake, and multiple areas to explore and many secrets to find. There is some backtracking, but a lot of it has been my choice. This is a PlayStation console exclusive. If I didn't have a PS4, I would buy it for this, and I expect it to be on many top game of the year lists. It's that good. Although it's different than past games, Kratos has grown up (or maybe just old), but he can still kill a god or two if necessary. If you loved God of War, this new one will give you more than enough in content, fun, and wow moments to justify your purchase.

This game looks great, some of the best graphics on the PS4. Gameplay however is a bit slower than the older God of War games, less arcadey, so keep that in mind. This is not a mindless hack & slash. The story is also a bit more emotional due to the father/son dynamic but overall it’s still a great game to play thru.
