This is my first GoW game. It is a rich, cinematic story, with highly satisfying combat. All the professional reviews of this game are accurate - I recommend it to everybody.

This game surprised me. I've played the originals back in high school and while they were a bit fun, I never got too into them. This game has one of the coolest narratives and some deep character development. Videogames are really hitting their narrative strides in the past decade or so. But the story isn't the only good thing here, there's some wildly cool combat and other neat mechanics. There's a lot of RPG elements too. The previous games were a bit more platforms, but this one is more like the Last of Us in how you navigate the world, but more fast.

The gameplay has been fun and the controls are easy enough once you get a hang if them. I would recommend this game to others it has been fun and the cinematic part is great.

As all the online reviews have been saying it's a great game. A little different from the old God of Wars since its a reboot but combat is satisfying and so far the story has been intriguing.

First start with the graphics are amazingly good! Gameplay is a new awesome experience and the story it's great to! A must game purchase for anyone to experience a new game. Awesome game!

I never played the God of War series before until now. This game is just amazing, not only on graphics but also the story is just engaging. I highly recommend this game to die-hard PS4 fans.

As someone who doesn't like a lot of modern games for being unfocused open world snooze fest that doesn't have well thought out content. This well crafted adventure game has all the quality's of a crafted meaningful journey much like my favorite franchise The Legend Of Zelda (pre Breath of the wild) If you like 90's early 2000's 3rd person adventure games, this is for you. two complaints I do have for this game though is that they do reuse bosses a little more than I would prefer. And I don't like the in game map too much, it is very confusing to use if you are trying to 100% the game without an internet guide.

This game is amazing! The storyline, the graphics, and the point of view of the player is great. Plus the game is very long so you getting plenty of use out of it! Highly recommend playing!

Great game! Best looking game on the PS4. You need to give it time, is kind of linear for the first couple of hours, but then it opens up to an open world type of game. Great story as well.

"God of War" came as a surprise to fans of the franchise because of the drastic changes that it made to its original hack-and-slash format. Yet, the majority of fans embraced the game upon its release due to how well these changes were done. The game is just as violent as its predecessors, but there is an additional level of grit and realism to it due to its new presentation. In fact, many aspects of the game reminded me of what Naughty Dog did with Uncharted and The Last of Us, and I mean that as high praise. "God of War" is one of the best games of the year, and it's hard to imagine that many would be disappointed by their purchase of it.

This game is highly addictive. It will take a good amount of hours to beat the game. A recent update has given the game a new fresh mode with even harder enemies. A great ps4 exclusive.

Incredible story, beautiful open world, fierce and varied combat/weapons. This game has it all. This refresh into the series blew me away. Tons of content to get through. Simply amazing!

The story and gameplay of this game are incredible and there was the disappointing discovery that its only a single player game but I can understand why they didn't want to go with a co-op.

I was really engaged the whole time while playing this game. The new direction for God of War is perfect for the franchise and i can't wait to see where Kratos' story goes from here.

Pretty sure this got Game of the Year. It's amazing. Even after a 30+ hour campaign there is hours of after gameplay to entertain. Beautiful world, moving story. Highly recommended

The graphics, gameplay and story are all top notch. If you own a ps4, you must do yourself a favor and try this game out. Simply amazing and probably one of the best games this generation

Played all the GOW games and this is by far the best one yet. Gameplay is solid, never boring. Graphics are awesome and fluid. Good story so far and plenty of side quests to keep you busy.

This game is beyond awesome and storyline is top notch. The best graphics I ever seen and gameplay is very smooth. Would recommend to anyone.

Great game, a bit different with the over the shoulder view but you get used to it. Game is a bit more challenging than other entries in the series. A lot to explore and beautiful graphics
