Previous God of War games have been about big action and over the top combat. This game brings a calmer gameplay, but with a more fleshed out story. Definitely a must buy.

Nothing like the previous GOW games. The story is pretty good so far, I like the dynamic between Kratos and Atreus. Their relationship over the course of the game evolves and I would not want the game without the boy. Has some RPG skill and loot mechanics and creative levels with Metroid like back tracking. Also has challenging enemies that are in certain places if you can find them...hope you are leveled up and have the right gear on. This game is superb and one of the best games I have played since Horizon Zero Dawn. I have around 16 hours in so far and still enjoying it and not done with the main story yet.

Great game for a great price. Certainly one of the better games on the year.

Gameplay was awesome. It was different than the other games but still felt like a god of war game. The stories about Norse mythology throughout are also fun to listen to.

This game is amazing. Great story, gameplay, music, extras... Highly recommended and is an even better deal now that it is a playstation hits game.

This latest release of God of War captures your interest from the start with a great story, perfect voice acting and graphics that are stunning. I can’t stop playing it.

the visuals and the game play are awesome. then the price of the game pushes this to the next level, this is a must buy just for the price itself

This game is unlike any God of War game before it. It has a strong and focused story with a brand new combat system that utilizes less button mashing and more strategy.

This game is so visually hypnotizing when played on a 4k tv and PS4 Pro. The story has so much depth and gets you locked in emotionally. Hard to put the controller down.

I wasn't a big fan of God of War but this game... Is one of the best that I have ever played on my ps4. I love the music, the story and the field the game shows.

This is a good God of War game like all the rest, but it is different. Not quite the angry sex loving Kratos we have come to love. More Grandpa Kratos and that takes some getting used to. Even weapon choice makes me feel more like an under powered Thor than God killer. With that being said it is still an awesome game with smooth controls, top notch graphics and voice acting. Would not pass this game up.

Great story and the graphics are beautiful even for its age

I am pleasantly surprised at how engaged I am in the story of this game. The gameplay is fun, the interaction between the characters is fun, the pace of the game is great. I'm just suffering from lack of sleep now as a result. I really like the shift to the Norse mythology, and the fact that the nudity and sex aren't in the game makes it a better fit for my life and who can/shouldn't be in the room when I play. That said, there is a lot of over-the-top violence and animated gore, and there is profanity periodically during the character interaction, so be forewarned. Great work Sony.

Definitely a great buy. I was not really hyped for the game because I've never really been a God of War fan, but this game blew me away. Everything, from the combat, characters and visuals, was spectacular. I truly enjoyed the challenge it presented. The combat is very smooth and keeps you on your toes. The armor system allows you to cater to your own playstyle. The exploration was great, it didn't make you feel restricted to a linear experience. What I truly enjoyed was that we finally get to see a different side of Kratos not just him being angry all the time. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

The first hour of this game had my jaw dropped the entire time. Great graphics, great sound, great lighting. Great action and story . If you own a PS4 Check this one out

Great game with action and environment detail. Storyline in the game also adds depth to the game. Battle controls maybe bit challenging due to numerous/various combos.

This game is phenomenal. Im 30-35 hours deep and probably have 15-20 more for 100%. Amazing story, graphics, and gameplay. So much substance and depth. Must buy for ps4

Excellent game great story line. I have enjoyed all of the past God of War games. This one definitely one of the best games of the year. I highly recommend this game.
