I am close to finishing this game but man, this has been by far the best game I have played in so long. I started immediately on "God of War" difficulty and it is a challenge but one that can be accomplished. Excellent visuals and the story is keeping me interested. Not enough time in the day to devote to this masterpiece!

I bought this as a Christmas present for a buddy who has never played either this or God of war Ragnarok. He plans on borrowing my copy of Ragnarok that I just recently purchased once he makes it through this game. This was one of the first games I played on my PS five with the upgrade. It’s a truly amazing experience, especially for those who have a son.

This is one of the best games i have ever played! This game is so good it is worth getting a PS4 if you don't have one. Played on my PS4 Pro and it has arguably the best graphics to date. Highly recommended! Although not necessary i would at least play God of War 3 to get some backstory. This series is probably my favorite.

Needed something to help me NOT study during finals. Couldn't have made a better purchase! I only ever played God of War 3, so I don't know too much about Kratos other than what was in that game, but I really, really loved this one. Great game, great story, great visuals. And luckily, it was $50 instead of $60 thanks to GCU.

This was my first time playing a god of war series game and the story is incredible.. the game play is fun and challenging but the scenary is amazing..the story relates to norse mythology and even references Thor & Odin. I would highly recommend this game to anyone even if they never played the series prior to this ps4 game.

This series nevers lets down. Is a roller coaster of fun, emotions, and memories. Totally recommed to play the whole series starting from the PS2 versions through the Vita, PS3, PS4, and PS5 versions.

This doesn't play like a traditional God of War game from the past. From the camera angle to the button layout, it plays differently. This is a story about growth as a father and mentor. This is Kratos coming out of retirement to overcome all obstacles to complete his goal. Excellent visually. Well crafted story. Must play

This is one of the best told stories in a video game that I’ve ever experienced. If you haven’t played the originals don’t worry too much since you’re not missing out but if you have there’s a lot of differences. The combat with the axe is excellent and the open world style is a welcome change from the originals.

Tremendous game. This is the game that was the tipping point in me purchasing a PS4. I loved the original God of War trilogy on PS2 and PS3. This is a re-imagined sequel set in the Norse gods timeframe rather than the original Greek gods pantheon. If you love mythology and beautiful graphics with fun action, get this game.

This game is breath taking not only in the action scenes but even in mundane walking or open world play! Just a superb work of art and action. God of war titles are known to be just great action games but this game is what ps4 pro was made for to demonstrate the depth of awesome graphics.

This was my first time playing any God of War game and I have to admit, it makes me want to play the previous editions as well. Great gameplay, graphics and story overall. There's a bit of a learning curve with the right combo moves, but once you get the hang of them it's fun to take out enemies with cool fatality moves.

One of my top ten games ever played (serious gamer, have been gaming for 30 years). Picks up where the series left off, but is still worth playing even if you have never played the previous installments. Amazing story, beautiful scenery, satisfying combat. Just a fantastic game. Won game of the year for 2018.

This God of War game is the best GOW experience by far and I have played them all. The story, progression and RPG elements are done exceptionally well! The graphics are probably the best on the ps4 console too. Probably the best game I have played on ps4. I play on PS4 pro btw. Go and get this game!!!!

Hands down one of the best games I’ve ever played. It deserved game of the year when it came out. The graphics, sound, story, voice acting were all top notch. I couldn’t have asked for a better game. If you enjoy video games, give this one a try! You’ll love it.

Three letters... WOW! When they said the graphics on the PS4 Pro would blow you away, I immediately thought... "I guess that means us regular PS4 users won't be nearly as impressed with the detail." WRONG! I can't say enough how amazing this game looks even on a regular PS4 running on an 4K Ultra HD set. I'm sure my own Sony TV has something to do with the quality too, but man is it breathtaking. The eye-candy is second to none in my opinion. And even though I've only put in about 4 to 5 hours of game play, I can't say enough good things about that too. I usually don't spend a lot of time doing PvE campaigns in most video games. My preference is to jump right into the PvP stuff, but this game has me hooked and locked into it, and I haven't done any PvP in any other games in a few days now. I also purchased Far Cry 5 well before GoW, and I played maybe an hour of that before losing interest. The graphics were really good, but I wasn't so fond of the story line and some of the game play. GoW is easily one of the best action titles this year, if not THE best. I highly recommend it.

Oftentimes, I'm unable to get through entire games nowadays just due to being so busy. This game, however, drew me in and kept me there throughout the entire way and didn't let go until after the ending credits. An absolute masterpiece, emotionally gripping story, beautiful environments and tight gameplay.

I've never played a God of War game prior to this one. So if you are in the same boat as me, fear not! You must buy this game and play it. You won't feel lost in the story or anything. Gameplay is top notch and it's extremely fun to master all the different moves and abilities. You must get this game and play it!!!
