Great entry to the series for fans and newcomers.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's a really good game, the graphics look so good even on a non-Pro model PlayStation 4 and I don't think it is even necessary to have played the previous games before jumping right into this one (though if you have the chance I do recommend playing the previous games because they all are great).

The Perfect Gift

She asked several of her co-workers what would be the best game to get him as a gift. It was unanimous: GOW!! It's truly an excellent game, hours of gameplay, and not just killing things, which is very satisfying, you also actually have to use your brain. Beautiful graphics.

Game of the Decade

Even though this game switches to Norse Mythology, Kratos does not miss a beat! The addition of his son make it for a great dynamic that I can play for hours at a time!

The game directs you along the story path in a very limited manner but still has lots of hidden goodies for the avid player.

Fantastic Story, great gameplay!

The game-play is also quite fluid, and the combat feels well refined. Players of the previous God of War games may find the combat to be a little slower, and a little less mayhem, but I still thoroughly enjoy the combat in this entry to the series!
