I haven't played any of the God of War games before this. I did understand somewhat of Kratos' backstory and who he was, but nothing really detailed. I will say that I was hesistant to get the game, but once I did, I couldn't put it down till I beat it. I thought this was an amazing game, and probably the best of 2018.

Loved playing this game, one of the best gaming stories ever. Reminds me of the time my dad and I went on our grand adventure up to the top of a mountain. Got back to the car and noticed he lost his wallet up there, had to go back up and get it. Would recommend to a friend. The game, not the two trips up a mountain.

Really great game. One that even if you aren't a God of war fan I would still recommend playing just for the fun factor alone. Some of the puzzles can be downright frustrating at times and a few of the special bosses are problematic. All in all it's a great game.

The visuals of this game are enough for anybody to buy this game. The gameplay is a little bit too much button smashing but that is kind of what you expect from GOW. There is enough strategy to keep you engaged. Now the real winner here is the visuals. If you play it on a Pro with a 4K TV this game is absolutely amazing.

Feels like a GOTY game, no bugs, and feels very well done. Not like the previous gods of war but the story makes it engrossing and gives a bit more personality to Kratos over just being angry. It has lots of action for action fans, and isn't just simple button mashing either. Graphics are gorgeous, I highly recommend it.

From my loves of Greek/Norse Mythology and RPGs this game seriously has SO MUCH to love. I just started playing a couple weeks ago and I’m just in awe. As someone who was awful at the old games this totally gives the whole game a new breath of that Norse air. I’m totally into this game!

Major kudos to Santa Monica Studios for developing such a polished and immersive game. You can instantly tell how much work and detail has gone into it. I was having so much fun that I decided to purchase a ps4 pro so I can play this game in its full glory, yes, that's how fun it was for me. Now back to my adventures!!!!

I bought this primarily for my other half to play but got a little time to watch and play myself. As someone who has played parts of almost all of the previous ones I was blown away by the quality of the graphics for this one. The game play was about what I expected, not the best one but certainly a fun game.

If you loved God of War before, I think you'll love it even more now. The game overall is almost flawless to me. I enjoyed every minute I played of this and I hadn't ever owned any of the other GoW games personally. It's an AAA in every sense of the term, and one of the best games made in the last decade.

This is a great reboot to the God of War series. Granted, I still miss the chain-blades from the original series, however the new axe is incredibly fun - you can throw and retrieve it just like Thor!. The combat is awesome, cutscenes and scenery beautiful, and the world is filled with tons of secrets to find. Love it!
