Excellent game and a great revival of a once beloved series. This game brings the nostalgia of ruthless fighting mixed with some new emotions that make for a great game. The graphics are great and the performance is smooth. It is worth the $$$ and will make for some great replayability.

God of War is a really good game. How it has modernized the God of War formula to today is really impressive. More detail in leveling up and acquiring new armor, a new over-the-shoulder camera view that works better than I could have expected, and a great story featuring an interesting character in Atreus.

The visuals are amazing. The set pieces are remarkable. The voice acting is mediocre at the beginning but improves later in the game. The fighting mechanics are methodical and responsive. There's plenty of chance for variation in preferred fighting style. The narrative is wonderfully written and realized.

Honestly there is nothing bad about this game. Excellent gameplay, excellent graphics, excellent storyline. It is a must have for any PS4 owner. Enjoyed every minute of the game. It changes some of the traditional gameplay mechanics of God of War but it was for the better. I would recommend it to anyone!

I'm a pc gamer but for the ps4 pro this is a great game. Only runs at about 45-50 fps but it's not super choppy and only stutters a lil bit. Definitely playable for even a pc elitist. Graphics are great. It has good hdr and the gameplay controls and story line are all on point! Must have for a ps4 owner!

Game is very much enjoyable on NORMAL setting BALANCED that's how I play 90% of my games. Don't want to say too much (SPOILERS) but game has a good story to tell from beginning to end. "give me GOW difficulty" that's for die-hard gamers only. Watched people stream that mode and get way too frustrated 3 hits DEAD. only really complaint I have is one BOSS that you will see color variants through out the game is a simple CUT & PASTE. let me quote something a buddy of mine said "you can't just BUTTON MASH in this game. Have think about what you're doing" and if a particular BOSS is giving ya trouble just watch their movement patterns and look for an opening to attack

It's not perfect (let's be honest, nothing is - and then when you go back later you find even more flaws). It starts slow (VERY slow - but it's not in the all time pantheon [see Final Fantasy 13]) but once it frees you the combat is great and you do want to go and dig out most everything it has to offer.

Great game so far. Works perfectly on my PS5. Really nice that they didn't release a PS5 only version that would cost 70$ instead of just getting this one for 19$

Probably the best looking game of the generation. It does seem to stutter a little from time-to-time of my old PS4, but nothing serious. Story is fantastic, combat is extremely satisfying.

This game is incredible. From the graphics to the story line to the game play. This is easily 1 of my top 5 favorite games of all time. It has everything from custimization features to puzzles that need to be solved to normal enemies and even some minor boss fights. You can't go wrong with this purchase!

If you like the old style button mashing of the previous god of war games this one might not be fore you. The story is great and the new controls are good takes time getting use to.

As someone who rarely plays games, I picked this game up with high hopes. I can easily say this is one of the greatest games I have ever played and has me so hooked that I blew through it in a day. The after game content is fun but it left me wanting a bit more. Quality of the game went above and beyond

I’m enjoying this game thus far. It’s different than previous versions; being almost open world instead of fixed with locked camera movements. The story allows the player to be more independent and figure the story out on their own accord. I’m in the beginning stages, however, I’m enjoying the gameplay.

I fell in love with this soft reboot of the series/franchise all over again. My heart leaped with joy after mastering the new game mechanics and then being reintroduced to the old made new again mechanics. Buy it. Play it. Love it.

If you have played any of the GOW (sorry Gears of War fans, GOW is God of War) series, then you realized quickly that this is not your usual button masher. Kratos is still brutal, but now things take a bit more precision, and you have his kid to help out in fights. Everything about this game is great.

Pros: -Beautiful (especially on a PS4 Pro with an OLED TV) -Fun gameplay with smooth controls in fight sequences -Great voice work -Epic boss fights Cons: -Some annoying collectible tasks that require returning to areas once you get necessary skills, etc. to get the platinum trophy -The story is OK (and appears to be leading to something grander in upcoming sequels) but doesn't cover a ton of ground in this game. -Way too many puzzles (in my personal opinion). They're fun for awhile but become rather repetitive. -The fast travel system is set up in such a way that you can end up having to backtrack for quite a ways before you can leave an area.

God of War games were always good, but in this instance they changed the formula up a bit and took a little from Dark Souls and made the combat feel so much better. The cinematics are awesome and boss battles are breathtaking. Best PS4 game released so far and best game of 2018 so far as well. 10/10.

My main gaming console is the Xbox One X, I only play exclusive games on the PS4, I.e. last of us, Horizon zero dawn, infamous second son, these games are amazing, and god of war is no exception. Of you like games with nice story then you should pick this up for sure.

The game is very fun. I applaud the developer for doing many things right in this game. It has a strong single player story, with fun gameplay mechanics that make you feel immersed. Despite a semi-linear / open world, the game does a good job of always keeping your interest. No Microtransactions and rewarding leveling system (albeit slightly confusing at first) One major negative is the combat. It can be cheesed with ease and many of the skills you have available to you are worthless. I feel they could have beefed this system up a bit better. Not quite game of the year, but a definite buy, especially if you find it on sale.

Had a lot of fun with this. The combat is rather straightforward but has a great feel. The story is engaging and pretty touching at points.
