Excellent game, they managed to make a new saga the story very good and interesting. I can hardly stop playing it almost.

I liked the original PS2 and PS3 series of God of War games well enough, but man, does this game live up to the hype. Absolutely gorgeous on a 4k or 1080p screen, with a solid framerate once you change it to performance mode, eliminate the film grain, and turn off motion blur. A gripping story of a father and son on a journey, solid gameplay, and epic soundtrack combine to make one of my favorite games on the PS4. Runs super smooth in performance mode on my PS4 Pro. Highly recommended.

saw the trailer at e3 and was impress by the presentation and gameplay. When i started my first god of war games in the current gen console graphics, i must say this is worth the money. even better at lower price. I think it is well worth the retail price to experience the journey between kratos and his son. The combat is awesome and fun, the voice acting is awesome, everything is awesome. I am hoping for a part 2 soon.

From start to finish, I enjoyed every minute! From story to gameplay, this is definitely a contender for game of the year!

Best God of War yet, by a mile. Take everything you thought you knew about God of War games and toss it. Well, keep the flashy combo-centric combat, but toss everything else. I can't say it's my favorite game of 2018 so far -- Monster Hunter World makes that unfair -- but it's really right up there with it. A top-quality game from the very beginning to the very end, and then some. Playtime for approximately 75% total completion was around 50 fun hours. Stay spoiler-free and pick this up.

Not being a huge fan of the series I was blown away at the graphics, gameplay and story. Must have for any PS4 owner.

This should be nominated game of the year. You will not be left bored. There is tons of things to do. You can follow the "journey" (aka, campaign) or you can explore, go to different realms in the Nordic gods lore and get tons of extra gear, armor etc. Hours and hours of fun. Best game I've played. Xbox gamers are salty they don't have games like this in their platform. Kudos to Sony for supporting their studios and cranking up the 1st party games. Now onto Detroid: become human in May!

Great game all around, very long to complete but the story and the characters make you want to keep playing.

This game is such a wonderful example of how an old franchise can be changed and feel fresh again. It changes all the core formula of fighting use to be in GOW. Slow and steady wins the race as they say and with this game it is the rule. And the story has been wonderful up to this point (10 hours in) with his son being a constant view of the player. I feel invested in both characters and even more so with Kratos since I’ve been around since his unhumble beginnings. Worth the purchase
