We love the Google Chromecast. We mostly use it with the Showbox app which allows us to watch unlimited newer movies and tv shows for free. The only negative is that sometimes the timing of the voices does not match the visual. This is definitely worth it's price.

I bought my first chromecast a few months ago and it was fun. However, I have bought more now because the functionality keeps increasing. Now I know how to cast movies from my PC to the TV. I hope they keep it up and increase the amount of compatible formats.

Received this as a gift and it has put to a lot of good use. Use it regularly for MLB.com and Netflix - much easier than using the Wii as we were previously. Only comment would be that the screen seems to go darker than when running through regular cable TV.

I have a media PC ( dual Core 2 Duo processors, 16 GB of DDR2 RAM and some ancient NVIDIA PCI-E card that I can't remember the designation to; an old server I had laying around with nothing to do) that is running Ubuntu 12.4. it's fun but actually a bit clunky, especially when our friends come over and want to have YouTube viewings (which somehow ALWAYS happens and we end up passing the keyboard around the room). With the 'Cast, everyone can use their phone :-) Plus my favorite movie and anime viewing apps (mainly Netflix and Hulu; hopefully Crunchy Roll will get on board with the 'Cast) work great with it.

The Chromecast device was easy to setup and was able to start using right away. Seems to limited on apps but worked great on Netflix.

Buy the chrome cast, it is amazing. Much better than Roku when it comes to cost. The form factor makes it difficult to keep a track off but it is also very portable.

Compact in size and easy to connect. Compatible with all devices I have tried so far even in the car that had the HDMI/DVD player.

This is a great item to stream anything from Google Chrome to your tv. It actually tyurns a tv into a smart tv. Setup is easy for everyone, even a non tech person.

I treated myself to the Chromecast. I wasn't sure it would be right for me. It was very easy to setup and is great for streaming movies. I really love the Chromecast!

I've heard great reviews about this product and have always been looking for ways to watch foreign shows and European sports from my huge TV. Already tired of watching it stream from my mobile devices. This device delivered everything I read and expected.

I'm not really into Chrome, and this is a good source for TV use, but only thru the computer it is paired with so to speak, I can not use my Wi-Fi to stream movies, which is really what I wanted it for the bedroom.

Bought this to facilitate streaming from netflix. It works great with my tablet and phone. Once, I got it set up, it was ready to go. It is a great value for the cost.

Now that there are more apps available, this is a great streaming device for home and travel. Portable, easy to use, great price.

I was really looking forward to getting this and using it for streaming. I got the unit home and tried to set it up, but I had a bad unit. My phone would not set it up, but would control it once setup. But YouTube is the only app that would find the device. My computer would setup the device, but would not see it once it was setup. I had everything updated, did 4 or 5 factory resets, and got the same results every time. It needs more apps to support it, but that is coming soon. I returned the unit and bought a Google TV

I love this thing. I purchased one for me and my son. I even convinced several friends at work to get it. The chromecast allows me to stream a lot of the shows I like to watch that are put on the internet. It allows you to stream Youtube content, as well as HBO GO and other tv shows that you can purchase through hulu, Netflix and google tv as well. In fact, my son dropped his cable company and just uses his android phone to stream shows he likes to his flat screen TV. I am thinking of doing the same thing. Cable is so expensive for what you get and I can find my shows online for a much more reduced cost.

OK, so I have a bunch of AppleTVs, which don't require anything to push to it - it uses the apps to pull and stream. Now, I have this Chromecast - and it needs my Dell Venue8 or my Nexus5 to be (Andriod-WiFi-Chromecast) streaming the whole time. Maybe if I watched more YouTube it'd be helpful; shrug. I did try the Netflix streaming & that was fine, some jumpiness, but doable. There may be the day that I want Pandora through my 'home theater' -- but until then, I have very limited use for this thing.

Great tool to use for work and play. The ability to cast my Android tablet's screen or Chrome tab (Windows machine) has proven valuable during meetings/presentations. Being able to turn around and use it to stream video to hotel TV's has been icing on the cake.

The chromecast is an epic device for streaming. With this diminutive 30 dollar device, I could do things that would only be possible with a cumbersome $90 roku or apple tv. (Or even those ridiculous smart-tvs....) The only caveat in this product is the wifi-adapter. Its not as capable of picking up weak signals as say, your $600 Galaxy S4. Nevertheless, we were able to easily fix the problem with a relatively cheap range extender, and ta-da! Easy and cheap streaming! Don't regret this purchase in the slightest!

I bought this to be able to view the pictures and videos from my phone and others with phone pics to be able to view on my TV. It isn't possible. You are only able to view YouTube videos and Netfix on the TV. I already have a smart TV so that is no help to me. I wouldn't recommend this product at this time. Maybe if they can figure out how to show personal pics and videos I would recommend it. It is kind of glitchy too.

Chrome cast is great for me, I use it all the time to stream the YouTube and Netflix the search is easy and no streaming issues.
