This device is still under improvement by Google. You'll notice is a beta version. For streaming the selected apps or websites is just beautiful. It's fast and shows with high definition even though I don't have the fastest connection from my provider. They are working on the fast mirroring of devices (other than selected apps and websites). Can't wait till they're done!

Neat new toy! Couldn't connect to my wifi at first, wanted me to change some setting in the router?? Updated all the apps in the ipad, plugged the chromcast dongle thingy back into the TV and it finally was able to connect to Youtube, then Hulu+ a little while later. Neat watching stuff on the big screen instead of the ipad. Can't wait for more apps to be tied into the chromecast!

Needed the chromecast device in order to access programing on various systems. Works like a charm, very satisfied with both operation and cost.

Apple TV is much way better for the options but this one as a basic works really fine but needs more router wifi stronger signal than Apple TV.

It works great, after setup. The setup took sometime to connect. After it connects it works just great.

Great solution for casting an Android screen or anything from Chrome. It lacks an effective way to just stream audio which makes it slightly sub par in comparison to Apple's AirPlay

It does what I need, just that there are times when you need to reset the wifi router for the chromecast to be detected on the phone or device.

Cant say anything bad about it. I installed it rather quickly and since then i use it almost daily be it netflix or streaming from my browser. Great investment especially for the price.

It has been great turning my non-internet capable TV into one although I wish it had more apps. The picture quality is great but I did notice some lag time when I tap pause either on my iPhone or iPad to when it actually paused on my TV. This doesn't happen all the time and for the price, it's worth it.

This is the 2nd chrome cast we've purchased. Loved the first one and I'm sure we'll love this one... but thus far, we've had trouble finding the cast on the network...I'm sure it's my network as since we purchased the first, we bought the new linksys router and this may be what is causing me issues..but nevertheless, these are excellent units and anyone would enjoy them.

Netflix and youtube work just great. Very easy to use and set up. If you own an android device all you ahve to do is download the chromecast app and follow the easy instructions to set up your new chromecast. Features will increase over time as more apps and developers make apps for this thing. The one downfall is that you cant access files on your home computer to stream or access. Google killed that ability but it may come back in the future.

Installation can be a bit confusing, at less than 8 feet it couldnt see my computer. Once installed it worked great. Got my dad one for Christmas.

This product was very affordable and super easy to set up and use.

Don't know the issue is with this device particular or with every device, sometimes loses connectivity.

I bought the Chromecast in the hope I could cut the HDMI cable I was using to connect my laptop to the TV. It works, but with one caveat - if the app isn't included in the current array you have to push it from the Chrome browser window - which means your media must be playable in Chrome and not very many codecs are natively supported. The workaround is to use something like plex media server to play any/everything in Chrome and then push it to the TV. In doing this (on a laptop with 4GB RAM and a not especially powerful CPU) it works as expected with no lagging or stuttering. Ideally, Chromecast should let me push whatever I want and hopefully that is coming in a future update. If that was supported today, this would be a 5-star review instead of 4. It did let me achieve my goal of losing the HDMI cable though, so it was well worth the money to me.

I was trying to avoid getting one of these but when it was on sale I could not resist. I find it very useful. A great addition to my living room.

I love everything about the Chromecast, from its simple set up to its ease of streaming content. However, when I don't use it for several days, it loses recognition of my devices as the Chromecast button disappears from the apps. The only way to fix this (that I know of) is to reset the router by unplugging/plugging it. If there were a way around this I would give it 5 stars.

It's great to be able to stream Youtube from the Mac to the big screen. Aside from that the usefulness is pretty limited if you have a Mac instead of a PC. Still, for the price it is a very cool device and hopefully more functionality will come in the future, especially for Mac. (Netflix will NOT work for Mac because there is no recent Silverlight update for Mac from Microsoft.)

One of the best invention. Turn a regular hdtv into a smart one. One caveat, you must have at least a 4.2.3 android version in your smartphone.

Chrome works great on my older 32 in TV that doesn't have the apps most newer TV's come with. Great for watching Netflix or YouTube on the TV.
