It does exactly what it says, but has a security breach if two chromecast are used on the same wifi. It doesnt let you keep a pssword for your chromecast.

My husband asked me to purchase this and we ended up returning it because it wasn't what he thought. I can see how it can be useful for some people though.

In lieu of paying high costs for Comcast, we got Chromecast and love it. Streaming netflix, mlb app, abc app and others is a breeze our 4yr old does it.

The best gadget under $50 bucks ever. Have bought several as gifts. The rewards from Google alone are worth it.

Good product for the price. But chrome on ipad doesn't support screen mirroring. But it works with desktop version of IOS.

Best invention in the last 10 years! Easily throw video content onto any Hdmi tv without the need for a ps/3, Xbox subscription or cable box. Easily send your web movie stream or internet content to your tv in seconds. It's like magic. Get 2 or 3 and go room to room tossing your video as you enter. Some tv's will even turn on as soon as you cast to the device from an off state. Very very cool!

Lifesaver! We use to use hdmi cable from computer to tv and would always have to play with settings to get the sound to come out the tv and not the computer. With the chromecast you can use your phone tablet or computer to stream directly to your tv wireless. It take no time for it to start up and you dont need to plug in to an outlet if your tv has a usb port. Best $30 you will spend!

like I said, works with my phone, tablet, PC and TV perfectly. Use this a lot when traveling and it's awesome!

I wanted to be able to show my laptop screen on tv without connecting cables. This does the trick when using the Google Chrome browser. Sometimes the connection is sketchy though. It will also show some apps from my Galaxy S4 on the tv, but does not mirror the phone. Have not used the device extensively, but is definitely worth it!

It's working fine and a lot of applications work with it. I just cannot mirror my iphone through it. They may fix it soon.

For the value, this is definitely worth buying, even if just for secondary use. I got it so I can send YouTube videos for the kids to the basement tv and get them out of the living room while I also don't have to run down to do it. If this thing supported amazon video, it would have been near perfect. Hey, for the price, it's still OK.

This is a great way to stream pictures the reason i gave it 3 stars is because I constantly have to be "resetting" because it always tries to connect to my husband phone when he is not even in the house... And also pauses movies then you have to start all over again...Other then that once you get it going its great

This is a really great product. If you have a wifi connection you are golden. No need to get up and plug those wires into your laptop to cast the screen.

This device is great and easy to setup. Stream is as easy as touching the icon on your phone once the chromecast is setup. It does require your TV to ha an HDMI connection and an available power source. The closer you are to your wireless router the better your streaming will be. Great product, lots of value.

This item has allowed me to get the particular type of music I want without having to pay the extra cost for a smart tv.

This is my go to method for streaming Netflix to my non smart TV, before Chromecast I would have to use my blueray player and it wasn't as convenient.
